I assume it is some type of warning indication, but don't know what. P.S. It is draggable and scaleable - I can move it off the artboard. An example:

When resizing I have to individually select all four points of a side to move it without distorting the rounded corners. I cannot click and drag, because that will activate any shapes underneath the one I want to select.
I'm looking for a plugin or alternative to easily select the entire side of a rounded rectangle. IE - I click one point on a side, and it auto selects all four points on that side, or the like.
When i place a rectangle in a sketch i can't select the parameters to be directly linked to size. I must first enter a number, delete the number and can then through the triangle to the parameter list. Is it possible to approach the parameters directly ?

Is there a way that I can select or filter those blocks with a scale greater or less than a certain value?
the marquee select with the rectangular selection is often very limitated. Sometimes I wish to select multiple objects with a "free form", for example drawing the selection area with a polyline tool. Is this possible? I did not find a way to do it with the tool in CorelDraw (X5). Neither did I find solutions in the internet.
There's one tool, that does something very similar: the shap tool with ALT key can be used to select nodes by drawing a free line around the node. This is what I mean, but for objects not node.
How can I copy a linetype definition from a drawing to the linetype definition file?

I was going fine, but I've run into a problem. I'm trying to select a portion of my image using the rectangle tool, and then move it to a different location using the move tool. However, when clicking and dragging the move tool it shifts the entire image, not just the portion I have selected. I read in the FAQ that you need to press "Enter" to finalise the selection before you move it, but even doing that doesn't work.
This was working fine for me earlier, I'm not sure what I've done to break it. I've tried resetting my tool preferences back to defaults but that has not worked.
I am trying to use the rectangle tool to select a rather specific area. I am trying to make a 50x50 square in the bottom left corner, but I don't know how I would accomplish this.

I want to use select on screen method with Filter type only for "TEXT".
Mean I want to select only TEXT from the Selection set so how it can be possible ?
I am not able to write the statement for the Filter Type.
Post the statement in C#.NET if possible.
I do not understand why whenever I go to select the rectangle/polygon(or other similar tools) sometimes-in the options bar-the path functions(subtract from area, add to shape area etc) are NOT available.
The one who is always available is the "create new shape layer".
i'm basically making a shape with the pen tool, then i click the paint bucket, then the shape disappears. i've also done this with the rectangle tool and the exact same thing happens.
usually, it will work when i frst open the document, but after i start making new layers/text then i try to do this, the shape i make disappears.
how i can keep the shape so i can select the paint bucket tool?
Recently upgraded to Gimp 2.8 for the single window mode (which worksbrilliantly in Ubuntu, especially with the HUD).
But the Rectangle Select Tool has a new - but odd - behaviour. When I drawa selection, and then add to that selection, a new "square" is position atmy cursor. (See attached screenshot.) This didn't happen in 2.6 and is abit irritating because it disorientates me slightly, especially if I'mworking quickly.
Is there a way to turn that off (or revert it to the 2.6 way)?
How do you get rid of the 3-figure cursor when in the rectangle select mode?

It was working just fine and yesterday all of sudden it will not let me add new layers to a specific filter. Is there a button or command that maybe would have changed that function. Everything else seems to be working on the Layer Manager.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have 4 layers (background, layer1, layer2, layer3-text). They fill all 300 x 600 pixels that comprise the .psd/future image. What I want to do is use a rounded rectangle to encompass all of the other layers, so that the surrounding pixels (around the rounded rectangle) are transparent.
I want all of my current layers to be the content of a rounded rectangle.

If I am in Library module, select filter Metadata, select Keywords from dropdown (no other filter panels selected), and start to scroll down the list of keywords, I can select keywords by mouseclick, and see the matching photos as thumbs in the main window.
However as I scroll further down, I can no longer select keywords - the mouseclick no longer highlights or selects. This happens rather incosnsistently - by which I mean, the point in the eyword list where the select stops working is not always the same place in the keyword list.
If I click several times on the same non-selecting keyword, LR4.4 jumps to taking 50% (exactly) of processor time (shown in task manager) , and the memory usage climbs steadily until all free RAM is consumed.
This is a small (~8000 image) catalogue, with ~2500 keywords, entirely non-hierarchical.
The catalogue is set to optimise on backup, weekly.
I've tried deleting and recreating the preferences file btw to no avail
I saw that the Rounded Rectangle properties were not available on the regular rectangle (to change corner radius).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am creating custom linestyles using the mkltype command. The issue I come across is. A simple line is drawn and the linetype is applied to it.
Line type definition. The length of the line before the first shape is set to a specific value, the length after the first shape is the same value (the shape should sit in the middle of the two values if they are equal), but the position varies when the line is stretched to a length anything other than a multiple of the original length.
why this happens and how to force the first shape to stay in the specific value (length from start of line) position.
I have a question regarding parameters in a block definition, or more specifically how to constrain parameters. I have attached a PDF showing exactly what I am working on. Basically I have an arm for a monitor which I need to add some parameters to. I need to be able to have a point that I can grab where the "primary grab" is located, and when I grab that I need the arm to pivot at the indicated pivot point, but be restrained by the first arm that is constrained to the circle. Is this possible to do in AutoCAD?
View 0 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to examine the linetype definition stored in a drawing. I would like to update linetypes that use an old SHX file with newer definitions but because the name of the linetype can change (RENAME or XREF merging) the only way to reliably do this is to look at the definition (e.g. A,7.25,[LINE5,old.shx],9.25,-5) of a linetype and update it (e.g. A,7.25,[LINE5,new.shx],9.25,-5). Is this possible with .NET or LSP?
