View 2 Replies View RelatedI've deleted my PS preferences and restarted, and I cannot get this filter to do what is was just doing a day earlier. It doesn't matter what the foreground/background colors are, nor does it matter what the resolution of the file is. I've experimented with every variable. The filter effect changes the filled layer to a solid color of the current foreground color. No lines, dots or circles at all.
I'm trying to make lines in a filled layer, or a rasterized text layer.Adjusting the sliders has no effect at this point, but the other Gallery filters DO work, oddly enough.
I've used this filter effect many times over the years, and it just started acting wonky. This is PS CS6, on Mac OSX 10.8.5.It seems to be unpredictable or temperamental. Is there a reasonably-priced plugin that will create lines that are completely adjustable?
I'm running Windows 7 64bit, and I have 2 AMD Radeon 6950's in crossfire. It has only been a couple of months since I used CS6's create 3D extrusion layer, and it used to work fine, but now it's greyed out no matter what type of layer I'm selected on. Photoshop is seeing my graphics card just fine [URL] and even says that 3D is an enabled feature if I mouse-over the Graphics Processor Settings box. I have the latest 12.8 AMD drivers. So, something between Photoshop and my graphics card are no longer playing nice - maybe an AMD Catalyst software setting? Although I've made sure that all my settings were restored back to default. I should also note that all other GPU enhancement features that I'm aware of seem to be working fine (like the quick zoom rendering, etc.)
View 13 Replies View RelatedUntil recently I have been able to use my CS2 Photoshop. I believe the only change I have had was adding a new monitor. I began toget an error message when I started Photoshop, and was unable to use Photoshop at all. Then after reading information, I changed the monitor profile. After this, Photoshop loads without any error messages, but all the menu items are greyed out and unavailable. In addition the red exit button at the top right hand corner of my screen is also unavailable and greyed out. The only way I can nowshut down Photoshop is through Task Manager. I am able to use all the other programs in CS2 without any issues.

View 1 Replies View Related1.) In CS6, the Filter Gallery seems like a great way to quickly preview lots of different effects. However, it does not seem to be working with all of my installed filters. Is there a reason why it only works with some filters OR is there some option or way to get other filters into the Filter Gallery?
2.) After applying a filter, and using Command + Shift + F on a Mac to reduce the effect of the filter, it comes up with a slider set at 100%
is 100% showing the percentage of the filter that was applied previously, so if I drop it to 90% it is simply reducing the filter to 90% of its previous amount?
The filter gallery in Photoshop CC has suddenly stopped working.. I am using the 8 bit channel.
None of the filters will apply to the image, but they are not greyed out, just won't change the image..
I have the trial version of CS3 BETA and my filter only has eight options instead of the usual.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just learned how Photoshop Web Gallery works and very excited about it! I have only one problem with it. I am trying to place my web site name on all of my photos using Security Option. I use Custom Text for Content and my site name in the Custom Text field. Unfortunately, for some reason, my site name doesn't come up on the photos. Could you please advice me what I'm doing wrong? When Photoshop builds the gallery I can see my site name on my photos, but when I open gallery in the browser the site name is not there.

When I select the background layer, the Convert to Black and White option is available.
What do I need to do to make the Convert to Black and White tool available on the photo filter layer? How do I turn the pencil tool off?
I'm using PSE9 on a Win7 computer.
The background colour of the Filter Gallery window (and any filter window) is black. I can see sliders and checkboxes, but I cannot see the related labels and text. This does not happen in the Adobe Illustrator Effects windows.

I scanned an image using Image Capture which turned it into a tiff. I opened the tiff in Photoshop and discovered that Filter Gallery was grayed out.
I opened an older Photoshop tiff and looked for differences. The older one, wherein filter gallery was available, was an eight bits per channel document. The new one is 16 bits per channel. When I changed the new one to eight bits per channel, Filter Gallery became available.
If my (extremely limited) understanding of the technology is correct, there is more information in 16 bits per channel and hence presumably a richer quality image. On general principle of course I'd prefer not to lose any richness. Is there some way I can get Photoshop to give me access to the filter gallery in a 16 bits per channel mode?
The sketch section in my Filter Gallery are grayed out. Provide me with the steps to activate it again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedPer this screen shot, I am unable to view or access the filter gallery and I would very much like to. The history portion of the screen shot shows my workflow.
First I opened an image and then opened a Curves adjustment layer. Because I only wanted to change the luminosity values, I then changed the Blending Mode from Normal to "Luminosity". Then I made a minor Curves adjustment, followed by forming a new layer via copy of my original background layer.
At that time, I was unable to access the filter gallery. I therefore converted that layer I had just created into a smart object but, as the screen shot demonstrates, am still unable to access the filter gallery.
I am running CS6 on a Mac and I am working in Adobe RGB image mode, 16 bit.
When I try to shutdown I see 'waiting for Stained Glass (100%)'.I can use other applications, it is just the CS6 freezing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe new filter gallery takes forever to preview. I assume this is because the preview area is so much bigger. I personally find it much more advantageous to preview a small portion of the image until I get the settings right, then run the filter on the entire image.
Is there a way to run the filter functions in "classic mode", or reduce the size of the preview area so I don't have to wait forever each time I try a new setting?
