AutoCAD .NET :: Proper Way To Scale A Table / ScaleFactors Doesn't Work
Dec 25, 2011
I am trying to scale down a table by half and "scale factor doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong ? it always come in original size and not scale - I tried to put the line before transaction and after appent and before , Here is Code.
Using tr As Transaction = Mydb.TransactionManager.StartTransactionDim btr As BlockTableRecord = tr.GetObject(Mydb.CurrentSpaceId, Open Mode. ForWrite) btr.AppendEntity(tb) tr.AddNewlyCreatedDBObject(tb, True)tb.ScaleFactors = New Scale3d(0.5) tr.Commit() End Using.
I try to place a block on top of another one, and make the new placed block the same same size as the other one. But the block scalefactors doesn't change.
Public Function FixtureConditionOverLayTest(objID as objectID) As Boolean Dim db As Database = acApp.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument.Database Dim trans As Transaction = acApp.DocumentManager.MdiActiveDocument.Database.TransactionManager.StartTransaction Try '--Get Block Ref [code]....
But I use the same block "5dPlano" through COM, it works fine
I took a photo of the sunrise. The sun was very "red" from forest fire smoke. But when I looked at the photo later the sun had lost its "red" (due to the brightness of the sun). restore the sun color as I saw it?
Below is the photo I want changed and the next photo (not mine) is approx. the color I saw the sun as (perhaps a little redder). I want "my" sun filled with that color.
I am using AutCAD LT 2012 and I cannot figure out how to convert my drawings to EPS while maintaining the scale of the dwg. When my artists import them in Adobe, they show up as an 8.5" x 11" sheet. How to change the properties.
Is there a way to force the table and table text height to stay constant despite the scale? I can do it for Point Label Styles with an Expression. But in 2011 there is no way to build an expression for a table style.
I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.
I am a Mac user and new to AutoCAD. I am enrolled in a CAD class this semester and the instructor for my session is requiring Windows. Supposedly this is because AutoCAD for Mac does not allow for proper printing on their plot style setting.
I understand that I can install Bootcamp and Windows on my computer, but I'd really like to avoid that if I can. If I were to do my work on my Mac and then digitally transfer my files to a PC for printing purposes, would my files become corrupted or compromised in any way?
I ma trying to print surface legend table to scale. I changed settings in model space, but I am not able to set it up to scale in layout (paper space).
It's my first time using SSA, and I had finally created a network and storm that I thought was working properly (using TR-20 routing with an SCS II storm), until I took a closer look at the profile outputs - and noticed that the graphed Max HGL line does not match the Max HGL listed in the table below. The difference was 856.2 on the graph and 858.01 on the table at one my structures, for example.
The ability to import pipe networks is nice in SSA, but if the output data is always this wacky I may have to go give up on SSA and go back to using Hydrocad.
I've got a drawing of a site, which is about 144 meter long, so 144000 mm to put it in autocad units. I drew it completely in millimeters, and made a new scale in the layout view 1:500, all my units are set to millimeters.
I would expect when chosing the scale 1:500 it would precisely fit on my paper, as 144000/500=288 and the longest side of an A4 paper is 297.
But somehow, when chosing the scale, things get seriously messed up... My drawing is no longer recognizable at all as it is zoomed in way to far...
Also, when watching youtube video's about lay-out, I always see a little toolbar under the main frame (the one where your title stands) saying things like new viewport and page setup. Somehow it's not visible with me... How can I turn it on?
What is the best way to get a hole table on a converted SW file. Our Engineers use Solid works and I can easily import the file but when I try to create the hole table in the IDW file it comes up blank.
Do I need to recreate all the holes so they are native to Inventor? or I am missing a conversion setting.

I have a corridor with an associated sample line group, and I have produced some material volume tables to give me quantities for my corridor structures and cut/fill volumes. When I look at the material volume tables they are at a seemingly arbitrary stationing. The sample line group which the material volume tables are (supposedly) based on are on alignment L1000 and they run from station 1133+73 to station 1154+00 every 10 meters. The material volume tables show volumes broken down by stations starting at station 3719+58.66 and runs through to station 3786+08.92. It is sampling at a seemingly arbitrary frequency, there is absolutely no alignment in my drawing that has stations remotely resembling those numbers, and there is definitely no sample line group it could be using that samples an alignment or stationing anything like that shown in the materials volume tables. Here is a quick screenshot of what my material volumes tables look like:[URL]
My company used autocad 2009 and a printing Plug-in which was made by VB,they worked perfect. But when my company uses autocad 2010,the problem rises:The printing Plug-in doesn't work.
Although I downloaded and installed the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications Module 32bit (from URL....), the printing Plug-in can not work with autocad 2010.the commands from the plug-in cannot be recognized.
Firstly I install autocad 2010,then VBA,next printing Plug-in.Is there anything wrong?
(visual studio 2010 c# and AutoCAD 2010 )I'm trying to create a new layer with ARGB color but SetRGB doesn`t work this way.
// Color is a System.Drawing.Color private static void NewLayer(string layerName, Color layerColor) { LY_Rutas = gbl_doc.Layers.Add(layerName); LY_Rutas.TrueColor.SetRGB(layerColor.R, layerColor.G, layerColor.B); }
I have an ipart that will has the length and a quantity of patterned features controlled by a table. I've created a work plane that I'll be using when I take this part into an iassembly. The problem is that the features I used to create this work plane (midplane between two parallel planes) do not exist in (2) of the (3) members...so it gives me an error message. I've tried adding the work plane to the table, but 'exclude' isn't a drop-down (and typing it in doesn't work). How to make the work plane "inactive" for those particular members?
I created 3 marker styles to be used be applied as markers within 3 figure styles, but using the same block for all 3 marker styles. The size of the marker styles is set to "Use fixed scale" and all have a Y and Z scale of 1 but different X values. Unfortunately it seems that if the X and Y values are different the marker will not show up on the figure.
start external program done and no problem with attact to process.
i set breakPoints in my program then i loaded it to autocad using netload so this breakpoint doesn't work , and my program complete all code without stop at my breakpoint .
We have AutoCAD 2014 and 2012 currently in our office. We have a civil file that works perfectly fine with 2014 (we usually save all files down to 2010 so all our consultants can use them). When we open it in 2012 the object enabler does not seem to work only showing empty boxes with AceeLand90 text in the lower left hand corner. The civil object enabler on 2012 is up to date and the drawing was saved down to 2010. Not sure what I am missing and why it doesn't wort to have the Acee Entities shown in 2012.
I am rehab a part of road, and using overlaymillandlevel 2 subassembly. I'm noted that when existing cross slope past to 6%, corridor is not build like the picture below. understand why this happenning.
I am trying to follow some directions and the call for a spline to be drawn onto an image. I can only find a polyline which doesnt work like I need it to. As I understand it a polyline will put a curved line as close as it can to a series of points, whereas a spline will "join the dots". I need to join the dots but with a curve not a jagged straight edge.
I can't use F8 key for Ortho mode in Auto Cad 2012. I checked CUI and it seems to be ok but when I press the F8 key It doesn't work. as matter of fact, after pressing F8 key, line type manager window is opened!
How to get the X5 table docker working in X6? Are there any easier ways to edit/manipulate tables in X6 over X5? So far all I've found is that I need to hit refresh more often as X6 has a tendency to make table content disappear when zooming to page view.
I created a paletteset with MinimumSize, it works fine when the paletteset is not docked to anywhere. However the MinimumSize doesn't seem to work at all. I tried to dock it to left, then I can drag the edge to really narrow.
I'm attempting to copy paste a block and a line from one tab to another in the same drawing and it doesnt appear. I get
Command: _pasteclip Duplicate definition of block _Oblique ignored. Duplicate definition of block _ArchTick ignored. Duplicate definition of block attr_FFL ignored.
i've purged, i've audited, i've even created a new drawing and transfered the information but im still getting this problem. The strange thing is occasionally it works.also, i purge so the drawing it is clean, then i try to paste, then when purging again 1000's of blocks appear in the purge diologue box. A49285 to A55404 & a block called A$C4E2C21A4
I need to Veto ETRANSMIT in some cases, I stripped down my code to a msgbox that will ask if i want to Veto Or not
Imports Autodesk.AutoCAD.RuntimeImports Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices<Assembly: ExtensionApplication(GetType(GHATransmit.Initialization))> Namespace GHATransmit Public Class Initialization Implements IExtensionApplication Public KillCommand As Boolean = False Public Sub Initialize() Implements Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime.IExtensionApplication.Initialize Dim dm As DocumentCollection = Application.DocumentManager Dim doc As Document = dm.MdiActiveDocument AddHandler [code]....
Even if the e.veto has been sent to AutoCAD the ETRANSMIT command still continues.
