Since acdbmng.dll and acmng.dll are not in the GAC, the fact that I can install my ARX.net dll on any folder is because it will run on the same application domain as Autocad, where acdbmng.dll and acmng.dll are loaded at Autocad startup. Right?

I was wondering if it is possible to create a table similar to the one attached. I would like the table to have a domain drop down list, so that users can select from predefined entries, to avoid human error typos and keep good organization in the data entry.
Is this possible with map3d?
I have a question about moving a AutoCAD profile from a old domain to a new one. We have setup the new domain account to use AutoCAD but none of the settings transferred over. Would the settings still be saved on the old user account?

View 3 Replies View RelatedOne of our domain users cannot access Autocad 2007LT as a domasin user in Windows 7. As soon as we make him temporary admin it allows him to use it. A pop up box appears asking far administration credentials before he can use autocad. We have tried giving read and write access to the autocad files that we think it links to but this has not worked.

Before we migrated I tried to back up the user data from the old user but once I am up an running agian all the AutoCad settings are no longer included. I understand you can export those while you are logged in and can see the macros etc. can you simply move the files that store that information (I can still access all the files from that user I just can't login as that user anymore)

My monitor is correctly profiled and the colors in Photoshop CS5 are correct and they print correctly. When I view the same image in Bridge, however, the colors are slightly more saturated and seem incorrect. They appear as they do when I view them in non color managed applications. Is Bridge color managed as is CS5?

I have a wide color gamut display and even with it set to sRGB color mode emulation, sRGB tagged images that look correctly saturated in Photoshop look over saturated once out of it and in an uncolour managed environment - particularly the reds. If I can replicate this environment in PS I can edit the colors to make them more neutral looking.
I would like to do a decent calibration of my Epson V750 Pro scanner to achieve a color-managed workflow. I have the latest version X-Rite i1 Photo Pro 2 calibration kit, and although this enables me to calibrate my monitor and printer, it does not support scanner calibration.
I do have Silver fast Ai Studio which includes a scanner calibration facility - is that the best available to me or are there any other options, possibly using the i1 spectrophotometer as I know that it used to be possible to carry out calibration with the older versions of that equipment? Other than that, I'm using an Epson 3880 printer, running Vista x64 and using Photoshop CS5.
My Smoke just crashed and there is the possibility of loosing all my projects. I have localized some files that I want to "recover" even if they are all scrambled. The problem is that these files seem to be single frames .mov files. If I try to import them to another Smoke they will be imported as single files and there are 6000 of them. How can I tell Smoke to treat the individual .mov files as a single sequence. I renumbered the files.

I read that there is a color shift issue when Rendering Video from Photoshop due to the lack of color management in some video players. I know this is more a player issue than a Photoshop issue, but I want to be able to make my video look best across all players.
Is there any kind of general rule for an adjustment I can make?
I can't seem to find much information on Google about this particular shift with regards to PS' Render Video.
Does photoshop offer frequency domain analysis of an image?
The standard way to remove noise, i.e. background spots, is do spectrum analysis and remove those high-frenquency signal. Is photoshop image-> adjustment -> level a frequency analysis?
Recently the user had crashed his system. So I had to role out a new system for this user, CS3 is part of the image, but Photoshop can not open PSD files unless I run as Administrator(s).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to automate the process of scanning a bunch old public domain magazines. When I try to create an Action to automate the process of the following mouse clicks:
File > Import > WIA Support
Click START button on WIA Support screen
Choose which device I want to use [flatbed scanner] > Click OK
Choose Custom Settings > Click PREVIEW
the Action stops at the very first step above (File > Import > WIA Support).
Maybe Actions aren't the best way to go about automating this entire process. If there is a better way this can be done how do I go about it? I want the macro / Action to stop at the last step above because I often need to adjust the portion of the page that I actually want scanned so I need to do the final step manually (actually scanning the page once I'm satisfied with the preview).
How do you paste a website domain name without causing the underline for hyperlink?
When I copy and paste text which includes a website link [URL] how do I stop or prevent the underline? I have tried changing the options in the page setup for text for automatic Hyperlinks but that does not stop the underline when pasting text
I'm assuming this problem I'm having stems from having color-calibrated monitors, but let me know if I'm wrong!
To preface, this is the setup I have:
Windows 73 monitors as follows, all have individual color profiles calibrated using the Spyder 3Cintiq 12WX Dell U2410Dell 2409WFPPhotoshop CS6 - Proofed with Monitor RGB, and tested with color-managed and non-color-managed documents . I usually do most of my work on the Cintiq 12WX, but pull the Photoshop window to my main monitor to do large previews and some corrections. I noticed that the color picker wouldn't pick colors consistently depending on the monitor the Photoshop window is on.

I know the Cintiq's video capture makes the picture look more saturated than the Dell's, but it actually looks fine physically, which is okay. But notice how the Cintiq's colour picker doesn't pick a matching colour. It was actually happening the opposite way for a while (Dell was off, Cintiq was fine), but it magically swapped while I was trying to figure out what was going on.
Semi-related Question regarding Color Management
Color management has always been the elephant-in-the-room for me when I first tried to calibrate my monitors with a Spyder colourimeter years ago. My monitors looked great, but Photoshop's colors became unpredictable and I decided to abandon the idea of calibrating my monitors for years until recently. I decided to give it another chance and follow some tutorials and articles in an attempt to keep my colors consistent across Photoshop and web browsers, at least. I've been proofing against monitor color and exporting for web without an attached profile to keep pictures looking good on web browsers. However, pictures exported as such will look horrible when uploaded to Facebook. Uploading pictures with an attached color profile makes it look good on Facebook. This has forced me to export 2 versions of a picture, one with an attached color profile and one without, each time I want to share it across different platform. Is there no way to fix this issue?
Pictures viewed in Windows Photo Viewer are also off-color, but I think that's because it's not color managed... but that's a lesser concern.
I’m unable to debug my arx. For context, I'm on Windows 7-32bit; Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and 2010 SP1 are both installed.
I modified the project file (.vcxproj) by adding

Then I launched AutoCAD 2012, loaded my arx solution in VS2010 and from the Tools menu, Attach to Process… I tried to select Attach to Managed v3.5 but it does not exist! All I see is Managed (v2.0, v1.1, v1.0) code or Managed (v4.0) code.
Am I the only one having this much fun with debugging? After sifting the internet I found no similar issues.
I am using a dllimport from accore.dll, but the entry point for the method in the dll differs between 32-bit and 64-bit version of AutoCAD. How can I check whether the AutoCAD application is a 32- or 64-bit version, i.e. the dll is 32- or 64-bit?

1) in VB6 , I add Project / Reference / Autocad 2006 Type Library
2) I use following code (see below) , to select application , start Autocad if not already started , open File
3) I compile Mycode : MyCADProject.exe
=> start MyCADProject.exe , I select a DWG file and I can open the file in Autocad 2006 : OK

Is this possible, create a .Net 3.5 Dll(A.dll), reference to Oracle 11g 32 bit client Oracle.DataAccess.dll. this dll will be used in another dll(B.dll), which load in AutoCAD 64 bit application. 32 bit version of AutoCAD is not allowed to install on Windows 7 64 bit. Right now I set my B.dll as 'Any CPU', and A.dll as 'Any CPU' as well. Do I have to use 64 bit oracle client in my A.dll?

I have made the .NET application with class library which provide us Application DLL file which will used to do our customization.
Once I have loaded my DLL and after that if I make change any thing in the Code and than I rebuilt it, I am getting the following error message:

when i start up Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture 2010 or 2011 (I tried both versions) I get the error message:acad.exe - Application error
The application could not be started correctly (0xc0150002)I searched the internet without any luck, many people have this problem with other programs, but nobody has a solution!
The funny thing is, it worked (2010) then suddenly it stopped working... I uninstalled and reinstalled 2010, didn't work, then I thought lets try the newest version, exactly the same error! Other programs work properly, also other Autodesk programs like Inventor 2008.

I am working on an application which uses an oracle database as backend. The application uses a login dialog in void IExtensionApplication.Initialize()
so my application knows the credentials for the oracle database. I use a drawing-template which has a database link in it. This points to a UDL-file in 'Data Links'. If i add the Credentials to this file and set the Parameter Persist Security Info=True the Credentials are ignored. So i thought i can avoid the additional loginprocesses if I add the following
