I'm trying to react to the AutoCAD application window being resized, that reaction is to move a form so that it stays in the bottom right hand corner of the AutoCAD application window. However, I cant seem to find a way to react to an AutoCAD application window resize event.
The Application Frame window opens up too tall on both my monitors. I cannot resize it nor access any of the tools at the bottom. Is there any other way to resize it except by grabbing it with the cursor and dragging the edge, since obviously I cannot do that when it sits offscreen?
I am working in Photoshop CS 6 - I like to use the application frame option but it makes the frame too large and does not allow me to resize. How can I reduce the size?
My AutoCAD 2012 installation has been doing this for a while, but I don't remember it always doing this:
After I close a drawing (if it is the last drawing open), by using either the "close" command or by clicking the "x" on the window, instead of going to the generic gray-stripe background it just shows what the drawing looked like before close. This keeps messing with my head, as I think AutoCAD has just stopped responding.
If you look closely, though, you can see that the "AutoCAD" and "Autodesk" labels appear on the drawing, but I don't immediately notice this because my drawings are more complex than the sample drawing I've attached.
See images below.
However, when I manually resize the application window (either by restoring or maximizing, or by draging the window edge, the application window refreshes to show the proper generic gray-stripe background.
I like the openness and ability to click my desktop behind the image I'm working on. I know how to turn it off, but how do I KEEP it off? Every time I close and reopen photoshop it's back on, and I saved my workspace to see if that would result in any changes but it didn't. Didn't ever run into this issue on CS6.
I have CS installed on my laptop. running WinXPPro, and unfortunately a few weeks ago CS started to behave badly. The program appears to load fine but 1 or 2 seconds after finally loading the program disappears from both the Application list and the window. The Task manager continues to show the Photoshop.exe process but its doing nothing. I have deleted preferences, I have re-installed, I have removed FlashPlayer (a CS3 problem sounded similar) all to no avail. Oddly enough ImageReady CS performs fine - it just doesn't give me the features I need access to do my work.
I have a button which has a mousover/mousout animation. When i click the button, it will shrink down to 0%. when it does, my mousout event is triggert, which i dont want.
how can i disable the mousout event after the click event?
it is possible to change the background color of the application window ?
I would like the whole area outside the drawing window (the drawing page) to be grey, so that it can be clearly distiinguished from the actual drawing page, which is white, with a shadow line around the drawing page.
I can't resize my doc window (usually, i can resize from the bottom right corner)or drag around also, the 3 icons ( fr close doc, etc) is missing and I am using mac photoshop cs3 version.
how to resize my maya window? I can't see my time slider
I accidentally click something while I was doing my blend shapes activity. Now, I need to get back my maya on its normal view with the time slider so that I can work on my animation.
I can't get the resize window to fit option working. It has worked in the past; I have no idea what changed. I am using Adobe CS4 (11.0.2) on Windows 7 (6.1) 32 bit operating system. I made sure the resize window to fit option is turned on and deleted the preferences file.
I have a netbook Acer AspireOne D255e, which max resolution is 1024x600. When I try to run GIMP, it's impossible to use it, because all the tools disappear on the window.
Is there the possibility to resize the GIMP window to fit on my screen?
Although not a show stopper the bottom part of the merge to HDR window, i.e. the cancel and OK buttons and half of the merged images shown at the bottom of the screen are not visible. Is there any way to have the window resized so that all information shows?
As I said not a show stopper as you can use Esc and Enter and none of the sliders are hidden. The system info is:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 12.1 (12.1x20110328 [20110328.r.145 2011/03/28:10:30:00 cutoff; r branch]) x64 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1 System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:7, Stepping:10 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1 Physical processor count: 2
In CS3, the document window abutted the palette (panel) stack and expanded automatically when I collapsed the stack. How do I make CS4 (Windows XP) do this?
I would like to have a shortcut to fit a window (regardless of the image size) between the tool box on the left and the other pallettes on the right. The only way I do it now is to drag the window to the upper left starting point and then drag the lower right corner to size it.
The window with elements running in partially off the screen and the title bar is not visible. I have tried a number of things but I can not move or resize so that the complete window is visible. I am run elements 12 on a mac air
When resizing (either image size or canvas size) I can't tell which numbers I've highlit, as the highlight colour is dark blue on a dark grey background. Is there any way of changing this to something more useful?
Using the zoom tool, there is a check box to select whether a zoom will also "Resize window to fit." Is there a way, using the _keyboard_, to select or toggle whether I want the window to resize when I use the zoom tool? I often want to go back and forth between asking for the resize and prohibiting it, but I don't want to have to go up with the mouse to click on that little check box all the time.
I downloaded Paint.net to resize pics, images, or logos and to create window stickers. However, I am completely new to it all! After playing with it and using it for a few days, I've done a few things with gradients paintbrush and text.
1)When I am placing graphics AND text on a new creation, for some reason I can only add the text FIRST and not AFTER I add any graphics. (So, if I mess up after getting my graphics on there and realize I need my text moved, I gotta start ALL over!
2) Is there any instruction book on the program out there anywhere??? anywhere??? maybe a Paint.net book for Dummies???
3) How do I resize photo's?? How do I work with layers?
4) WHERE is the align tool? (or align object tool.....whatever it's called) I need a simple way to CENTER text and pics.....
The program has been useful to me from what I have learned by hitting the wrong buttons by mistake (lol) but I'm sure there are MUCH better ways to do things than what I've been doing......
When I double-click an AI-file to open it, Illustrator resize/minimize it's own window. Sometime so much that Illustrator itself reply with the error: "Can't open the Illustration. There is not enough room for the window; Increase document area and try again."
If I open a file (browse for it) from within Illustrator it works fine and Illustrator keeps whatever windows-size I have chosen.
Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) Adobe Illustrator CC 17.1.0 (64 bit)
Just recently, I started having issue with Photoshop when opening a file outside the application (i.e., not doing it by using the File>Open command in Photoshop).
I click the file to open it in Photoshop and the application window shrinks almost entirely. It shrinks to about a 1-inchx1-inch square in the upper-left corner of my screen. I expand the window, and the image file that I had opened is also about 1x1, making the image about a millimeter in size. Of course, I increase the image to its actual size.
My question is: why is my Photoshop application doing this? It's a recent glitch; it hasn't always done this. I have not done any significant changes to the computer other than regular Windows updates.
I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 but get the following alert: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." Can it be reinstalled? It is not available under "History" and none of the available installs appear to be for Mac OS X (Version 10.7.4). S
I have PSE9 and a macbook pro 10.9. I lost the original DVD that came with my purchase of PSE. Some files must have gotten corrupted because I can't open the program without reintalling. It says, "Some of the application components are missing from the application directory. Please reinstall the application." I have the serial number and all and I registered the product. Is there somewhere I can download a new copy to install?
at photoshop cs6 extended downloaded in july, i now get the following message: "some of the application components are missing from the application directory. please reinstall the application."
I have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version - 3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box. I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?
