how to resize my maya window? I can't see my time slider
I accidentally click something while I was doing my blend shapes activity. Now, I need to get back my maya on its normal view with the time slider so that I can work on my animation.
I can't resize my doc window (usually, i can resize from the bottom right corner)or drag around also, the 3 icons ( fr close doc,etc) is missing and I am using mac photoshop cs3 version.

View 4 Replies View Related Although not a show stopper the bottom part of the merge to HDR window, i.e. the cancel and OK buttons and half of the merged images shown at the bottom of the screen are not visible. Is there any way to have the window resized so that all information shows?
As I said not a show stopper as you can use Esc and Enter and none of the sliders are hidden. The system info is:

In CS3, the document window abutted the palette (panel) stack and expanded automatically when I collapsed the stack. How do I make CS4 (Windows XP) do this?

between the tool box on the left and the other pallettes on the right. The only way I do it now is to drag the window to the upper left starting point and then drag the lower right corner to size it.

The Application Frame window opens up too tall on both my monitors. I cannot resize it nor access any of the tools at the bottom. Is there any other way to resize it except by grabbing it with the cursor and dragging the edge, since obviously I cannot do that when it sits offscreen?

Is there a way, using the _keyboard_, to select or toggle whether I want the window to resize when I use the zoom tool? 1)When I am placing graphics AND text on a new creation, for some reason I can only add the text FIRST and not AFTER I add any graphics. (So, if I mess up after getting my graphics on there and realize I need my text moved, I gotta start ALL over!

The program has been useful to me from what I have learned by hitting the wrong buttons by mistake (lol) but I'm sure there are MUCH better ways to do things than what I've been doing......
When I double-click an AI-file to open it, Illustrator resize/minimize it's own window. Sometime so much that Illustrator itself reply with the error: "Can't open the Illustration. There is not enough room for the window; Increase document area and try again."
If I open a file (browse for it) from within Illustrator it works fine and Illustrator keeps whatever windows-size I have chosen.

I have a problem with object like cameras and lights, which don't have any real shape. When I create one, I can see only point but in every tutorial there are auxiliary shapes, which demonstrate for example direction of light or how the light is shining. How can I turn on this shapes?
I just discovered, that the shapes are not hidden, but they are really small. I don't know, how to resize it.

For example: If i want to create a polygonal primitives cylinder, according to the tutorial an option window should appear where i can change the attributes, but it does not appear for me. I have to change the attributes from the channel box. I have already unchecked the Interactive Creation option as it says. I tried resetting MAYA, but no luck.
View 6 Replies View Related I was trying to animate my character and when I wanted to change the frame-rate (under Animation Preferences) the error "//Error: Cannot Find Procedure 'preferencesWnd'" came up. I also found that if I just wanted to access Window -> Settings/Preferences -> Preferences the same exact error would appear. I've tried deleting the preferences folder in My Documents to no avail.
Unfortunately any one with a similar issue seems to be dealing with custom scripts. I'm not, I'm just trying to open the preferences window.
I was taught in school that to set up a project location, go to File > Set Project... to choose a folder for saving all files and materials, and then go to File > Project Window. But for some reason, when I click on Project Window, it does absolutely nothing. The window does not pop up.
It works fine in computers in school, but at home on my Windows computer, it doesn't.
My render settings window will not appear. It used to, but then mysteriously stopped. how to get it back? I done the reboot thing but it never comes back.

Or something.Hit Render frame or even IPR (doesn't matter what renderer I use) and no render window pops up to chew on the image. I get a progress bar and the .IFF is saved in my project folder, but no render window. No error messages that I can see either, maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently started using Maya on Mac OSX, after having always used it on Linux, and I'm really baffled by the child windows behavior (think Hypershade, Graph Editor, Script Editor, etc...)
The shortcut Cmd+~ does switch focus between the windows, but the child windows always stay on top of the main one. That means that if I open one of these, but need to work in the main maya window, I need to click on the minimize button or double-click the title bar (because Cmd+M doesn't work on these!!!), then need to click in the dock to recall them...
Surely I must have missed something, didn't I? Is there a way to ensure the child windows are hidden by the main window when I switch focus using Cmd+~? On Linux I remember we had a way to set the environment variable MAYA_SET_PARENT_HINT to change this. For sure it's possible under OSX, since that's how firefox / safari and other applications work (switching focus between the different child windows correctly manage which one are in the foreground / background)
I’m a 3DS Max transfer. In 3DS Max there is an option to open an image file for modeling reference in a separate window within Max which always stays on top. This is NOT an image plane to model off of but an IMAGE FILE, a picture i can get the details from that don’t show in a drawing or plane. Currently I open images or groups of images(NOT SEQUENCES) in the default OS file viewer program. This is fine with a dual monitor setup, where I throw the reference images to the other screen. But what about when I’m on my laptop on the go or have no other monitor? Currently I’d have to open the same program, have it underneath MAYA and flip back and forth, which is a very big hassle over time. I’d like to be able to open a small, resizable window WITHIN maya and view the image file(or files!) there so I can move it around my workspace and glance over to it in an instant.
I still want my four panels or all of my panel space to work with. With it being resizable i can even shrink it down to get the gist in the upper right corner where no icons are even zoom in on parts with such a small window.
I have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version - 3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box.
I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?
It has come to my attention that the new drag-resize feature only changes the master diameter of the brush but leaves the dual-brush diameter intact. It is the only shortcut that does this resizing improperly.
I would like to know if everyone else experiences the same problem. Is it a bug or is this way of resizing intended?
I mainly do digital paintings and this small bug makes the feature useless for me. I hope that it will be fixed at least in cs5.
