Using the zoom tool, there is a check box to select whether a zoom will also "Resize window to fit." Is there a way, using the _keyboard_, to select or toggle whether I want the window to resize when I use the zoom tool? I often want to go back and forth between asking for the resize and prohibiting it, but I don't want to have to go up with the mouse to click on that little check box all the time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis new behavior of PS in which you can press a key to select a certain tool, and then pressing the same tool again will select the next tool within that tool category. Is there a way to turn it off? Its making my workflow a mess at the moment. Since in the past I've never needed to depend on looking at what icon I'm using to know what tool is selected, now having to look every time to make sure the right sub-category tool is selected is getting unbearably annoying. I already had my key assignments directly linked to sub-category tools and my workflow was fast since I never had to check anything, I just had to press 1 button and thats it. Now I'm having to take an extra step thousands of times in one afternoon because I end up always not being on the right sub tool.
If I didn't have the 5D MKIII I'd just stick with CS4 but I'm cornered since CR7 is so much better than Canons DPP software.
TFRAMES command in 2010 doesn't seem to toggle image frames. It just continuously turns them off.

How to enlarge image upto 1000% without loosing the image pixel and making the picture usable.
The animated zoom could have been such a good complement to tap tap-zoom. But I'm so bothered by the "1/2+"sec delay for anim to start that I don't use it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn CS4 the drag-to-resize brush option should display as red (the brush preview default color) but no color shows up. Nor with the drag-to-set-hardness shortcut either. Both shortcuts work. I cannot see the hardness change on screen but a quick check of the brushes indicates that it did indeed work. Just no color indicator for either shortcut.

I've got CS2 and I'm finding it very annoying that whenever I zoom in or out in a document the window resizes. I can have two documents open and their windows neatly sized to fit the screen, I zoom in on one and suddenly that document is filling the whole screen. Yet, when I go to Edit / Preferences / General I see that the 'Zoom Resizes Window' box is unchecked.
The only way I can zoom in without the window resizing is via the Navigator window. But that's more awkward. Any ideas anyone?

The drop down options I use most frequently are Lighten and Darken. I would like to create short cuts to Lighten and Darken, such as Ctrl+Shift+L (Lighten) and Ctrl+Shift+D (Darken).
The tools panel menu bar does not appear to have a selection list in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box.
How do I create these shortcuts.
I am using photoshop CS6 extended. I cannot access the alternative gradient tools and am wondering if the plug-in failed to download or if I have somehow disabled them in the preferences.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm running CS4. (all updated fyi). A few days ago my tools started behaving strangely. Specifically for any tool that has multiple beneath it. Like the type tool or shape tool for instance. The problem is that when I click a tool (with a mouse OR trackpad) it auto expands. It's not supposed to do this. It's supposed to select the top most tool with a single click. If I want the expanded menu I would click and hold or right click.

If I'm working on an illustration and zoom in on a detail, I'll find that any other open windows (within Photoshop CS2) have zoomed with exactly the same amount too, and I have to resize them all. Very time consuming when I'm zapping between open windows. Is this a setting I've inadvertantly clicked or a bug in the software?
Why in CS6 when zoom changes window size and a floating window fits in Photoshop window or on other display screen do I get scroll bars where a select all selection marching ants are not visible on all four sides till I drag out the window to get rid of the scroll bars so I can see all of marching ants.
In previous versions of Photoshop space for scroll bars is present but there are no scroll bar, select all marching ants are visible on all four sides when an image's window fits in Photoshop window or on second display. Is there a way to make CS6 work like previous versions? Also if I just open a document and Photoshop fits it to Photoshop window or second display the floating window is correct without scroll bars.

View 2 Replies View Relatedim working on a PC , with windows 7, with photoshop CS5 i searched everywhere for answer , but none was given.. people did mention this problem, but for different photoshop versions , and, i had it good till i dont know what happened and changed it, so i believe it is fixable but people understood it wrong.
anyhow, the problem is, when you try to maximize the image window (assuming you changed it from tabs), the window maximize all over the screen, over the tools and title bar.
instead of staying inside the workspace.as i mentioned, it used to be like it , but something happened and now its all over the thing.i tried double click the hand tool, all sort of things with the "F" and Tab shortcuts, the arrange documents thing on the top, even trying to restore default setting but nothing really did the trick.
i tried to look for something called "Application frame", that somehow suppose to do just that, under window->Application frame, but its not there. again, it used to be ok so i know there is still hope..
here it is restored, under "fit screen" option, notice it only get the hight right, i would not call it "fit screen" but what ever..
red circels show the title bar and tools..
and this is when i hit the maximize button and unleash hell, red circles are where the title bar and tools were, not so nice and cool..
i noticed none of the others gave pictures, so i gave it a go..there are no words to describe how annoying it is.
I would like to have a shortcut to fit a window (regardless of the image size)
between the tool box on the left and the other pallettes on the right. The only way I do it now is to drag the window to the upper left starting point and then drag the lower right corner to size it.
The window with elements running in partially off the screen and the title bar is not visible. I have tried a number of things but I can not move or resize so that the complete window is visible. I am run elements 12 on a mac air
