Is there anyway to prevent AutoCAD from converting a MTEXT leader with a block element attached to a BLOCK leader when doing a copy/paste? See screen shot.
Recently upgraded to 2014 and now anytime I add leaders to a point inside a view, the leader disappears. If I move the start point to the outer extremity, then it shows up fine.

I have been having a problem with AutoCAD LT2010 for some time now, and cannot resolve the problem. When I create a drawing and label-up the entities with ‘Leader Lines’ they appear to be clear and crisp, but when I copy or move
the leader lines to a specific point, (i.e: end point of leader line to mid-point of another) they automatically turn to ‘BOLD’ yet the text font is still the same as originated. This is infuriating when trying to create presentation drawings.
I am using vanilla autocad 2011. installed from the autocad mechanical suite. I keep having a problem when copying blocks, leader lines and text, they sometimes apear bold in paper space. I have used the trick of changing the Z dimension from 0 to 1 and back to 0. My leader lines do not have the ability to do that. How can I keep this from happening. Autocad 2010 never had this isssue. Attached is a capture of the problem, you will see the bold text.
I need to snap to some feature lines in my corridor, i.e. Back_Curb, Flowline_Gutter, etc, and I have the drawing containing the corridor I need to snap to as an XREF. I can snap to other objects in the XREF, but not the Corridor Feature Lines themselves. Apparently, after some digging, Autocadd hasn't come up with a solution for this problem, and many others have the same issue. I run C3D 2012, updated.
Is there a way to have the Arrow leader convert to Loop leader in one click. Our company standards use diamond tags and sometimes i have to change the arrow to loop by inserting a leader.

I want to add the leader part to the leader that is created when I drag a Station Offset label. This would be the part in a three point leader that goes horizontal for a short distance before the label text begins, similar to how a multi-leader is created. Looks weird having the C3D labels be the only "leadered" noted be without the landing.
When I use qleader with mtext annotation , The arrow and texts are inserted as two unit. I can rember there was a facility to use this two objects as a one unit.
We recently had a draftsman that drew with snap on (he no longer works here), and now all the drawings he worked on have this setting turned on. I thought it would be as simple as opening up the drawings and either hitting F9 or clicking on the toggle to turn off snap. That doesn't seem to be the case. Snap mode seems to be tied to individual sheets, and every viewport. I have multiple sheets in a drawing and each sheet has multiple viewports. The last thing I want to do is open every drawing, click in every viewport on every sheet to turn off snap.
I have snapmode set to 0, but it will only turn it of in whatever sheet or viewport is active. I have to write a lisp routine that will go through every viewport on every sheet to set snapmode to 0?
Object Snap.jpg I want to pick the point where the circle hits the edge of the box but there seems to be no Intersection there. But they are on the same plane!
Ok, I'm sure there is a very simple way to fix this that I just haven't yet discovered. When I insert a stacked dimension in the top line of my leader text, the spacing gets automatically adjusted for the hight of the stacked dimension and it adjusts the leader line up so that it actually passes through my top line. Can this be avoided? I have attached a picture for reference.
I would like to add a Leader Text to lable a part- referencing the Part Number or whatever, move the text close to the edge of the part, to remove the leader/arrow and make the txt rotate 90deg to be vertical. I have messed with style settings for a new Vertical Txt style, and Vert Dim style -(pointed to the Vert Txt style and adjusted Notes and Leaders tab)
i don't understand why in the Format Text window the "rotation" box is always grayed out. can you unlock it?
Snap commands in X6? I can not get the snap to grid to turn off. The button is off and the setting is set to off in options. Objects seem to snap all over not just to the grid. And the grid snap seems to be out of alignment-I cant seem to get objects to snap exactly to the grid.
The same files reopened in X5 are fine. This started with yesterdays install of 6.2. leaving X2 completely unusable.
I'm trying to snap one object to the other with vert snap.
It's trying to snap from the center of my object rather then the vert I am hovering over. In the Snap settings I have only "vertex" checked so it should snap to whatever vertex I hover over but no...This keeps up I'm going back to 2008 when all this worked fine.
When I drag around vector points of paths they are not constrained to the pixel grid, when the option "Snap Vector Tools and Transform to Pixel Grid" is off. This is the behavior I expect.BUT: When I drag whole paths, they snap to the pixel grid, no matter what. I even have snapping completely disabled.
This is particularly annoying when eg. creating a path for a zipper. I first make a path for the inside of the jacket or whatever, then I make one notch for the zipper and copy it over and over again for all the notches. It's very troubling when these elements snap to the pixel grid, because it's very unprecise then.
how do I make straight lines? Horizontal Lines? Vertical Lines? Curvs? I read many tutorials and i am afraid that I am doing it the wrong way, my way is to drag a guide to where i want the line to be at and trace the guide with the brush tool...
How do I make a leader, no text, no landing, grippers on both ends. Every time I go to grab the gripper on the non-arrow side of the leader it moves away from me . The line just moves away from the pointer at an ever increasing speed and distance).
How do I interate through the vertices of a leader and update them.
I have tried
myObjRef.UpgradeOpen() For i = 0 TomyObjRef.NumVertices - 1 Dim MyVertex AsNewGeometry.Point3d(myObjRef.VertexAt(i).X, _ myObjRef.VertexAt(i).Y, _ 0.0) myObjRef.SetVertexAt(i, MyVertex) Next
I had expected properties like StartPoint LastVertex to be updated.
I just upgraded to AutoCAD Lt 2012. In the settings, I was able to figure out how to automatically get a landing line and how long I want it to be. But! When I draw the leader to left of center, it puts the landing on the left side of the line. How can I turn that auto-directional thing off?
In my current drawing, when I click into Model Space through a viewport and draw a leader, the leader is drawn with a Z coordinate of 0", but the text is being drawn at -9", so the leader is not associative and it doesn't have the tail on it. I just noticed it's also doing it in Model Space in the World UCS.
