Jul 15, 2013When I use qleader with mtext annotation , The arrow and texts are inserted as two unit. I can rember there was a facility to use this two objects as a one unit.

AutoCad :: Leader Converts From MTEXT Leader To BLOCK Leader With Copy / Paste

I want to add the leader part to the leader that is created when I drag a Station Offset label. This would be the part in a three point leader that goes horizontal for a short distance before the label text begins, similar to how a multi-leader is created. Looks weird having the C3D labels be the only "leadered" noted be without the landing.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Leader Text Attachment Results In Leader Through Text?
Sep 13, 2013Ok, I'm sure there is a very simple way to fix this that I just haven't yet discovered. When I insert a stacked dimension in the top line of my leader text, the spacing gets automatically adjusted for the hight of the stacked dimension and it adjusts the leader line up so that it actually passes through my top line. Can this be avoided? I have attached a picture for reference.

I have messed with style settings for a new Vertical Txt style, and Vert Dim style -(pointed to the Vert Txt style and adjusted Notes and Leaders tab)
i don't understand why in the Format Text window the "rotation" box is always grayed out. can you unlock it?

May 17, 2013Sometimes I can snap to leader lines, sometimes ACAD will not let me. Right now I can only snap to endpoints of leaders, nothing else.
Even if I type mid or int it will only snap to the endpoint.

May 10, 2013I just upgraded to AutoCAD Lt 2012. In the settings, I was able to figure out how to automatically get a landing line and how long I want it to be. But! When I draw the leader to left of center, it puts the landing on the left side of the line. How can I turn that auto-directional thing off?

AutoCad 2D :: Leader Text On Different Plane?
Apr 29, 2011In my current drawing, when I click into Model Space through a viewport and draw a leader, the leader is drawn with a Z coordinate of 0", but the text is being drawn at -9", so the leader is not associative and it doesn't have the tail on it. I just noticed it's also doing it in Model Space in the World UCS.

AutoCad :: Leader Settings Will Not Stay
Jan 11, 2013I am constantly having to change my leader settings.... every time I open AC. On the third tab, I want both of the "Multi-Line Text Attachments" to be set to the middle of the top line option. But for some reason, the Text on Left Side always defaults back to Middle of Bottom Line.
Is there a system variable or something that I'm missing?

Feb 8, 2012I have turned off or unchecked "Extend leader to text" (Multileader Style > Modify > Content > Extend leader to text) in all my templates.
Yet, when I start a new drawing using those templates, that feature is turned on (checked) again.
I've tested this several times. Yes, I'm using the same templates I've been saving. I've even created a new template from scratch with none of our standards in it. The check for Extend leader to text keeps returning.
I've tried this in both AutoCAD and Civil 3d.
Any way to duplicate this?

May 2, 2013Recently upgraded to 2014 and now anytime I add leaders to a point inside a view, the leader disappears. If I move the start point to the outer extremity, then it shows up fine.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Delete Dogleg From Leader In IDW
May 29, 2012In an .idw I can add a leader with text and by simply leaving the text editor empty I can create a 'blank arrow'.
However, my nice arrow has an annoying dogleg reference line on the end of it. Is there anyway I can get rid of the reference line, without the chew of creating a sketched symbol or creating a new style??
I've added a screenshot to explain it a little clearer.

The one on the bottom has the leader attached to the edge of the structure and the one on the top has the leader attached to the centre of the structure. How do I change the attachment point for the top label so the leader attaches to the edge of the structure as the bottom label does? Can't seem to find the parameter to change??

Oct 9, 2013I have a drawing which has 3 viewports in it, two of the viewports are ok but with the third one when i try to have a leader from it to a text box outside the viewport in paperspace, the section of the leader within the viewport is blanked out,. I have tried bringing the leader to the front and sending the viewport to the back along with regenning the drawing to no avail. the leader works ok with the other two viewports no issue there but with the third one it just will not work. The viewport is used for viewing a location using a raster map image and it does show the leader / line object when zoomed out and disappears again when the line goes over the raster image.

I would like to just copy the fields from the first "Attach to Leader Text" and paste them in the subsequent "Attach to Leader Text" instances, instead of picking the "Type" and "Property" from the pull down lists for each of the three property I want to access, each time I place a "Attach to Leader Text" .
The problem is the fields in the subsequent Attach to Leader Text pasted instances do not automatically link to iProperties on the ballooned item? how to automate this procedure/

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Leader With Text From Point?
Oct 17, 2013Here is the setup, I received a survey base from another firm. All of there leaders of text are actually cogo points with labels. I have xrefed the file into my sheet file and rotated the view, so obviously nothing looks like I want. Typically I bring the text forward into my sheet and manipulate it here, but it is attached to a cogo point. I could copy the points and label styles into my current drawing, but this doesn't sound like the best practice. What is a good way to overcome this challenge?

Oct 12, 2011Using some slightly modified code from the samples provided by Autodesk as shown below I'm attempting to draw a simple leader with MText annotation.
In the attached bitmap the top leader shows the result of running the code and the bottom one the appearance I want which is obtained by changing the AutoCAD properties of the leader under

from 'Above' to 'Centered'
I can't identify anything in the API which allows me to draw with this change, but feel it should be there. Searching the web for code to draw leaders, basically only returns minor variations on this code with only the same functionality.
