Is there a way to have the Arrow leader convert to Loop leader in one click. Our company standards use diamond tags and sometimes i have to change the arrow to loop by inserting a leader.
What I'd like to do is add a horizontal segment of a known length to the leader, obviously based on the last point. I have to assume that the user is in the appropriate UCS for this, but I can trouble shoot for that later.
subst old list iwth a new list and apply it to the entity somehow?
I am looking to modify a block count lisp, the lisp counts the blocks and displays them in the command line. I am looking to take that list and insert it in to a leader.
So it will prompt me to select blocks.
1st Point of leader 2nd point of leader
and would generate the block list in the leader annotation.
Is there a way to attached an already exisiting placed block to a leader. If so, is there a way to do it to all the existing blocks, that are of the same block definintion, at once?
I have an autocad file with a simple rectangle in it.
The goal is to offset this rectangle 1" to the inside of the original rectangle, then delete the original rectange.
How could I go about this in autolisp??
I know I could use basic commands to bring up the offset functions, but i'm not too sure how i could write autolisp to offset in the correct direction, and the correctly delete the larger rectangle without deleting the smaller one as well.
Maybe put them on different layers? How I could achieve this?
Is there a way to modify the text insertion point of multileaders using lisp? We have a problem with some of our multileaders getting a landing distance set to a negative value. My lisp routine will correct these to a default value, but then the text jumps a bit. If I could get the insertion point prior to changing the landing distance then I could restore that point after changing the landing distance.

With all of you fine teachers, I have the know-how to get the start and end values of a line.
Do you think there is a way to get a point returned that represents the true intersection of the two lines, without having to involke a user defined "getpoint" function using "intersect" osnap?
I have a lisp program which will create a cover sheet for my electrical drawings by extracting data from the title block. Once this is done, I manually print the cover sheet.
What I would like is to create the cover sheet, have the lisp program pause, print the cover sheet, then when printing is done, quit the drawing file so the cover sheet does not remain.
I tried several approaches, but the lisp program finishes before the cover sheet prints.
What I was thinking of was in a loop some times I need multiple sets of similar variables but am not sure how many sets I am going to need. I would like to be able to increment the variable names each time the loop runs.
I have an AutoLISP program that hangs up for no apparent reason. I can run the program with an Alert in the loop. The program is a sheet generator, creating a border (insert with attributes), dimensions and MultiLeaders in Model Space, then a new Layout Tab is generated and the new elements are CHSPACEd into the new layout. An Alert temporarily halts the program once the task of a new Layout is created. In this form, the program works as designed. However, if I comment out the Alert, the program hangs up as if in an infinite loop. Also, hitting Escape does not cancel the AutoLISP, I must use Task Manager to end AutoCAD instead. My computer was recently upgraded to Win7 64-bit. I'm running 64-bit versions of software. (AutoCAD MAP 2011).
Have an AutoLisp program that inserts a block with attributes. Been using it forever. Yesterday I ran the program and somehow when the block is inserted, it skips the Y scaling factor. The program should insert a block at a point with a X scale of 19.2, Y scale of 19.2, Rotation at 0 and then four attribute values.
What is happening is the block is inserted at the correct point and X scaling factor, but the Y scaling factor goes in for the Rotation angle (19.2 degrees), the Rotation angle goes in as the first attribute and the remaining attributes are shifted over and the last attribute is missing.Line of code is:
Is it possible to write a program for cross section by manual input of data like below. Objective is to draw a cross section with grid lines and labels of section data and datum value.
Is it possible to get the output from the MEASUREGEOM command back into an VL program? If I use:(setq angle (command "MEASUREGEOM" "a" line1 line2 "x"),
the value of the angle is displayed on the screen but is not passed back into the program and the variable "angle" is not set.Is there a way that I can set this variable?
I would like to write some sort of AutoLISP program to evenly space objects across a given distance. I have attached a .pdf file showing what exactly I mean.
I would like the program to enable me to either enter or measure (via the selection of two points) the "z" distance, to enter or measure the "y" distance, and to enter the number of objects, "n". I would then like the program to evenly space "n" objects across the "z" distance.
A program like this is, I have to be honest and say, way beyond my current capabilities.
I have a customized button to draw an ‘ac-arrow’. I created a lisp to create the layer “G-ANNO-LEDR”
if the layer name is not found. The advanced part I would like is:
Current layer: E-ANNO-WIRE
Ac-Arrow Leader: G-ANNO-LEDR
OPTION 1:
If, say I am on current layer “E-ANNO-WIRE” and need to draw my “ac-arrow” leader, and continue working
on the original layer “E-ANN-WIRE” (and have the leader be drawn [remain] on the layer “G-ANNO-WIRE”).
With this option, I have the block “ac-arrow” imbedded in my template drawing file to have the block at hand.
With this option, the layer “G-ANNO-LEDR” will be created IF it is not on the drawing.
OPTION 2:
- Currently be on layer “E-ANNO-WIRE”
- Bring in the block “ac-arrow” from my block library “L:AutoCADSymbols”
- Draw the “ac-arrow” leader which will be on layer “G-ANNO-LEDR” (this layer created IF it is not
on the current drawing).
- After the leader is drawn’
- Be put back to the layer I was, “E-ANNO-WIRE”, and continue working.
The OPTION 2 is what I would really like to have. A while back, I happen to see one like OPTION 2, but I cannot
find it anymore on the users groups. I have been searching for a while now.
Currently, I use the button in my customized toolbar (see image) and have to have the “ac-arrow” block in my drawing and have its layer created in the drawing.
I'm trying to create a macro for a toolbar button to open a third party program. Basically we want to open a custom .exe application from a button on the ACAD toolbar.
Is this something that is possible? Basically I have an excel file with sample data that comes coded (red background for fail, Green for pass) Then we transfer that into halos on a DWG. got a routine to count the halos in a DWG. Now I was thinking it would be nice if it compared the number to the excel file to make sure no mistakes were made when placing the halos.
So as I mentioned I've seen rountines to read data in cells but none to count cells based on colour.
I am trying to draw a line between two lines and I put together the following. It works great if the start/end points are perpendicular to each other. How do I solve if line one start point is in a positive direction and line two is in a negative direction?
(defun c:test () (setq L1 (car (entsel " Select the first line: ")) L2 (car (entsel " Select the second line: ")) )
i know DIMANGULAR command will let me draw a dimension to display the angle between two lines, but is there a way for my commandbar to show me what the angle is rather than draw a dimension?
I often want to simply know the angle but not display it in the drawing, and it'd be good if there was a command/lisp which showed me in the command line area, or perhaps a pop up window, similar to what the TLEN lisp does here: URL....
I want to get the minimum and maximum x, y coordinate values of selected lines. In other words, i want to find the top, bottom, left and right edges of a set of lines.
I got the attached lisp file from the web which automatically labels the lines with their length. Resulting the values of the length in the absolute values of the length instead of saying that the length is in inch. i.e, i need to remove the inch sign (") from the suffix of the length.
The PARTS LISTS on our old drawings are simply text entities and lines. Some are MTEXT. But our new drawing template has us creating our parts list using the actual AutoCAD TABLES entity.
I'm looking for the best method to go from lines and text in AutoCAD, to an AutoCAD table. As of now, I have to retype everything since I can't select a column/row or group of text entities, copy/paste into a table.
Any LISP function that will allow me to go from TEXT and LINES to a TABLE? I've tried B2E (lisp name) but it's not working - found that on a lisp site somewhere.
