AutoCAD LT :: Get Built-in PDF Plotter Quality Up To Adobe PDF Plotter
Jun 20, 2013How do I get the built-in PDF plotter quality up to my adobe pdf plotter. I want to do use publisher and make mulitple page pdf's and as I understand it I have to use the built-in plotter to do it. As of right now I have to sperate pages with adobe and then combie them to make a single pdf.
(how the built-in PDF plotter looks)
(How I want to have the built-in plotter look.) Without changing settings in my pdf viewer, I need to be able to send these out to customers.

Oct 9, 2013I wanted to use the program to design a robot for our school vex competition. Vex has provided cad files for all the parts. So, how i can import the seperate parts into one design. I can only open each part individually but cant find a way to combine them so can assemble the robot in one design.

I think there are some missing part for these. I have the same problem with revit 2013 while try to open a new file cause on there also there are some missing files about family.

May 17, 2012I have a new macbook and no printer. Id like to set up my print settings to plot to pdf and choose the correct paper sizes and utilize my line type print settings. I am using auto cad 2013 and see i can create a pdf but it doesn't allow my set my plotter up as a pdf.

Jul 25, 2011So we have a new plotter at work, and I am trying to use it with the publish command. However, because all of our old drawings are saved with our old plotter name, choosing the new plotter isn't an option for all of our old dwgs that havent been set up using the new plotter name. Since our dwgs number in the 1000s, going through each one and renaming them would be impracticable.. but having to individually plot each one is pretty impracticable as well..
So I tried to figure out a workaround, by opening up our new template that has the new plotter configuration on it, hoping I would be able to use it to set all the old dwgs that I have open at the time to the new plot setting.. but the printer name comes up as something different when I try to use it for publish, and if I use it, I get an error and nothing prints. I know the settings used in the new template work, I have been able to print it out. So what I'm asking is, is there anyway I can use the new plotter to publish all of our old drawings?
AutoCad :: Plotter On A Network?
Dec 28, 2011using a plotter on a network. I moved all my plot styles to a folder on the network where everyone can use them and pointed the path on each station. My only problem now is that each station seems to have the drivers ect.. for the plotter on stand alone stations. What happens if I open a dwg on my station and then close it and go to another station I get warning that drivers are not found,the device can not be found. Do I need to copy the driver and device folders to the network and have the settings on each PC point to that folder.

Mar 7, 2013Since we've migrated to Windows 8 64b we have problems wih plotting some layouts. If I select my plotter it automatically goes to none after selecting and sometimes I get the following error message:
Most of the times I can use the plotter in the other layouts / drawings, but sometimes I have to restart AutoCAD or reboot the computer before the plotter works again. In some layouts we keep getting this problem even after reboot. I've tried reinstalling the plotter (with different drivers), tried different computers, purge and recover the drawings but no luck. The Plotter is a HP Designjet 800.

The DRC files are in the DRVen-US directory, and is in my drivers search path. I have even changed the order of the search path to place that directory first, but no joy.

The problem is when I go to plot I get a warning message stating that "this plotter configuration cannot be used" and it goes on to list a few reasons why and selects the "none" plotter. Jul 18, 2012I have just installed AutoCAD 2012 and a HP Deskjet 510 plotter. The plotter does not print out the colours in true colour i.e. when the line on the CAD file should print in red, it is actually printing out in orange. There are also problems with other colours not printing out as they should.
I have printed PDF documents to the plotter and using this route the colours will print as they should so the problem is not plotter related. I suspect its something to do with the AutoCAD

I used to be able to select 2 separate printers and a PDF'ing option but all of a sudden they are missing?
The printers are connected via a network, are visible and usable in Windows and I can print to them from other software packages (word, outlook, etc).
I was away for a week and when I came back they were missing from Autocad (2011LT version 3).
The machine is a dell Precision T5500, Intel Xeon E5507, 4 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit SP 1
