I have been creating a drawing of a Assembly and realized that I had drawn it on a Company "D" size border by mistake. How do I change it to a "B" size border without starting over?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to access any data of any Border in a Drawing files when creating a sketch in the file?
I'm trying to make a Title Block that take up the whole length of the Border bounded page and 10 mm high, anchored on the bottom.
Currently I had the Default Border "changed" by Inserting it and changing the margins to fit to approximately my printer's printable area. It seems at this stage when I created a new title block defn I'm basically given a blank sketch with the origin at the bottom left as my only "snap point".
I found one through subject suggestion about using iLogic to change the size, but that isn't exactly what I'm trying to do as that seems just a switch for different Title Blocks that's been made up.
I thought about just drawing the title block in with the border, but I don't think that's the right way to do it.
Is there any way to draw your Title block in this case beside manually figuring out how big the Border is and dimension with that raw number?
(Just curious as it would be just a simple subtraction, but if I changed the Border margin I would have to repeat the arithmetic...)
I am having a problem changing my tube sizes. Basically when I create a new route and populate the route, I want to be able to change the size without adding hundreds of sizes to the library. So I right click on the tube and select change size. The when I select a different size and select apply nothing happens? I push update and still nothing happens?
When I try to change the tubing size again it shows the size that I change it to but the tube doesn't visually change? I have noticed the same with the hose. What I also noticed is when you change the size on pipes it does change. How it is possible to change the piping sizes by right clicking on it and select change size when this function doesn't seem to work on the tube and hose?
I just download the AutoDesk Inventor 2012 but I didn't use this software before. I just download an example and refer youtube to create my own parts. But when I place all parts together, i.e. assemble all parts, I find that the parts are not looks good because the size either too big or too small. I try the whole afternoon but I still can't find the way to change the size of an individual component.

There are times when I start a drawing on a C size border/sheet and it gets too cluttered as I add views or annotations. Is there any way to insert/change the sheet size to the D sized template without starting over?

When creating text, changing the size is as easy as editing the text and changing the size. With a dimension, however, that method doesn't work. View 3 Replies View RelatedA coworker brought this to my attention and I was also immediately able to reproduce this. We use content center C channels and other common beams a lot. After inserting one into an assembly if you right click and select change size and edit the length it typically doesn't update to the correct length.
Example:
Insert a 10" Ansi MC/C channel any size
right click and select change size
add +.0625 to the existing length and hit apply
measure it at 10.06252 in
repeat change size and type in 10.0625
measure it at 10.0625
repeat change size and type in 10 + .0625
and measure at 10.06252 in
It seems to mess up more when you do math but it also screws up entering a simple number
10.000325 usually ends up as 10.000315 in for me.
Editing the part directly from it's parameter dialog doesn't yield anything like this.
Is there a way to change the leader arrowhead size without changing the dimension arrow/tick size?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure what I did to make this happen or how to change it back, but for some reason when I change the size of an object/line it changes the stroke weight as well. (For example, if I drew an ellipse with stroke weight 2 pt, and then increased the size the stroke weight would be 2.856 pt or some such number instead of 2 pt.) How to change this back?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI set a border up to be 24"x36" and it appears to be slightly outside the dotted lines for paper space when I x-ref it in. I also noticed on my plots that 3'-0" is measuring close to 3'-1" which means I have screwed something up.
I have the plot settings set to "Extents", "1:1" and I am using the Cute PDF plot driver.
Instead of creating a border that is 24"x36" do I need to create one that is exact to the printable area to make it the right scale? Not sure what the printable area is or how I figure it out though. Lost.
I want to change the size of the image in Gimp to 3957x4429 px (67x75 cm) at a 150dpi (the image we have has a 300 dpi.) When i do this in image - print size it keeps changing the width.

I've created a round rectangle. I want the shape to be black with a white border. However whenever I finalize and save, my white border disappears and I'm just left with a black shape. Edit > Stroke is'nt highlighted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI made this in paint.net and specifically the border in the "effect" "Borders N' Shapes.' I was using the 'move selected pixels' tool to get my text centered just right and then after I would make the adjustment, a big rectangle (basically right around the entire image) would show up on the screen, and I would use "deselect" to get rid of it, but the corners got permanently messed up. I tried to do a new border wit "Borders N' Shapes' but it didn't work.
I even--I know, not the brightest thing, but I tried using the rectangle tool and getting as close to the inside of the borders, cropping and selecting, and then re-sizing it to my original 1600x2400 but paint.net crashed when I tried that.
I'd really rather do it the right way anyway. I can go back and basically re-set everything, but I have changed fonts and font sizes and like I said I have the spacing just the way I want it, so it would be a fair amount of work to go through again.
any way of restoring the border without changing the 1600x2400 dimensions? I had a 3 pixel light gray border. You'll see how it's goofy on the left upper and lower corners.And how do I avoid those rectangles that show up (that I used the deslect to get rid of) when I use the move selected pixels tool to adjust individual text in the layers?
i currently have a logo that is 460X440 pixels and 12.17cmsX11.69cms and the resolution is 96 pixels per inch.
i am wanting to change it into a 2cm X 2cm avatar that is less than 6K in size,
how do i do this? everything i try makes the output file about 24k in size.
the reason i am doing this is the forum i regularly post on has a max avatar size of 6k.
The attached files are two sprockets. The original part has 30 teeth. I need 34 teeth.
The MODIFIED part has one of my attempts at making 34 teeth. I have tried the following with the same error dialog box (see below):
1. Edit Sketch_6 (associated with Extrusion1) by deleting all but one of the teeth lines (2 arcs and 2 lines that make up a tooth) and making a circular pattern of 34.
2. Same circular pattern, except this time I "Close the Loop" (right-click on one of the teeth line segments > Close Loop > click on all the segments until the loop is closed).
3. Same circular pattern, except this time change the resulting patterned lines into construction lines, trace these lines with arcs and lines of my own (not construction lines), and close the loop on my own lines.
When each of the 3 attempts failed, I tried deleting Extrusion1 and making a new Extrusion feature from Sketch_6. I cannot select what I want in Sketch_6 in order to make the teeth.
I'm at the point where I'm just going to take the dimensions from the circular pattern sketch of 34 teeth, delete Extrusion1 and Sketch_6, and make my own sketch and extrusion.
For the future, I really would like to know - why is it so difficult to alter features like this? Yes, I understand that Sketch_6 is not fully constrained, and on top of this I am not privy to how it was generated in the first place (this is a part file from a vendor). But it does not strike me as something overly complicated for the Extrusion feature to recognize a change in its associated sketch. This is not the first time I have encountered something like this.

After contacting both Apple (I am running MacOS 10.8 Mountain Lion) and HP for answers, I burned a lot of time with Adobe either just plain not getting an answer because I didn't buy it or being given the run-around. I need to know what Photoshop is doing to block the available capabilities from working.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just opened a drawing, bound all the xrefs and saved it. I noticed that when I save the drawing in model space, the size is 10mb smaller than if I save it in paper space. This is the same drawing, and all that is changing is whether I save it in model space or paper space.
What causes this? I tried it on 3 or 4 drawings and got the same result - but only when I bind the xrefs.
I've just recently changed jobs and so I'm working on a new (to me) system with Autocad Mechanical 2013. I had been working with Mechanical 2010.
One (of the many) issues that is bothering me, is that I can't seem to scale resize individual dimension. Normally, I'd create the dimensions and then if I needed to tweak the fit, I'd go into the Properties pallet and change the overall scale under Fit. Not really a good standard of practice, I know...
But when I do that on my current system, the dimension doesn't change at all.
On top of that, I have a weird refresh problem. If I grab a dim by the grip and move/stretch it, it doesn't actually show the new position unless I Regen. Is that a setting or maybe just a slow reaction by my computer?
Where do I find how to change the workspace border size and color? I see no such options in TOOLS >Options > etc.

The strange thing is that when i look at the properties the line size and weight still appear to the same .
Per the attached exhibit, how to get the plot border to cover the entire sheet border instead of just the bottom left corner.
