I have been unable to get the hole notes off the IDW. Got the general notes to work with the following

Aug 13, 2012Is there a way to make Inventor automatically add a note, along the bend line, indicating bend direction, number of degrees and bend radius?
Also, in 2013, where are the bend tables located? I've checked the help file, and it's telling me cprogram filesautodeskinventor 2013design data
I followed that path, but I do not have the "design data" folder it's calling for.

Jan 11, 2010I am trying to create and display multiple Notes on an Inventor Part. I select the face, right click, select create note, and the note gets created perfectly. However the next note I create does not get displayed in the graphics window. It gets added to note in the browser. Is it possible to get all notes created displayed on the model?
I also see that the note automatically adds the Author and the date to the note. Is it possible to edit this information. It says the information is read only.

Oct 3, 2011Every time I create a chamfer note, I have to edit it, because I don't like '1.5 X 45° ', I like the lower case of '1.5 x 45° '. Only a small detail, maybe, but that's how I prefer it. Can I edit the template somewhere so that this happens automatically?
Similarly, can I edit the hole note so that the tolerance (6H, etc) is not shown for tapped holes?

AutoCAD Inventor :: Dimensions And Notes Disappear When Reverenced Geometry Is Deleted
Nov 20, 2012This following happened frequently.
1. We spend a lot of time creating a drawing with dimensions and leader text.
2. The part or assembly changes (feature or components are deleted or replaced)
3. Dimensions that reference deleted geometry disappear.
From what I can tell, the dimension will turn pink/purple and not disappear ONLY if one of it's attachment points is still valid. However, if all the attachment points for the dimension or leader text are gone, then the dimension or leader text simply disappears.
We spent a lot of time creatin these dimensions and/or leader text and would like to know if there is a problem. We have had many instances where we though the drawing was done only to find vital info missing. To make sure this doesn't bite us again we currently have to carefully compare archived revisions of the drawing with the current drawing to make sure everything is there.

Jan 12, 2012Why do I have to select edit hole note each time I use the hole feature tool? It will not keep my settings to show qty.
It seems that I should be able to save it to my library and make it the default. I have saved library,templates all with zero luck.

Dec 6, 2012I changed jobs about three weeks ago, and went from AutoCAD 2012, to Mechanical 2009. The transition has been seamless, except for one thing: text. The templates here are set up with generic notes etc, using single line text. I can't stand it.I tried the txt2mtxt trick, but it didn't work. Anytime I convert existing text to mtext, or try to create new, mtext, the editor window will come up, but not allow me to type anything.

Same goes for the legend- they don't want to see something if it does not apply to the sheet.
Other than bringing in those notes and legend into each sheet and modifiying it, I can't think of another way to do this. Previously, if I needed to change the wording of note 4, I change it once and I'm done. If I need to change anything now, I will need to open up 20 sheets.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Create Key Notes Automatically In R2013?
Jun 26, 2013Is there a way to create key notes automatically in R2013? Similar to automatic numbering in mtext, but with a hexagon or circle around each number at the beginning of each line. Right now I just type my paragraph then manually insert a key note with attributes at the appropriate location. Problem is when I add or delete text from the paragraph, the line spacing may change, then I have to manually re-align all the key note blocks.

We are looking at using this to make SSM more user friendly to manage our keynotes and general notes as custom properties in the SSM. We already use SSM to plot large jobs, populate title blocks and when notes reference other sheets.

Mar 15, 2013Does the Style setting Plan Readability work for General Notes? I've been thinking we should use notes for all our text so that they react the same as all the other Civil 3D labels. But they don't seem to. They scale correctly but stay parallel to the UCS.
I've tried this in a fresh drawing from a simple template and from an OOTB template. They never rotate in a layout. Is this the normal behavior or am I missing a setting? This is how I have it set in my style:

When I change before/after Paragraph spacing settings in the Text Formatting window, I get a message reading "please provide a value within range of 1/4" and 4". Photoshop :: CS5 Adding Notes
Feb 24, 2012I just recently found out about the "Adding Notes" feature in CS5. I was able to add notes. However, when I saved the photo as a jpeg, and then re-opened it -the notes were not there.
Am I doing something wrong or will notes only re-appear when the photo file is saved to a psd or tif?
