I just recently found out about the "Adding Notes" feature in CS5. I was able to add notes. However, when I saved the photo as a jpeg, and then re-opened it -the notes were not there.
Am I doing something wrong or will notes only re-appear when the photo file is saved to a psd or tif?
What I am attempting to do is: add text, some dims., and some info. to a viewport i have added to a drawing for my field guys. I am a sheet metal worker and have produced a drawing of duct work. one viewport is a plan view, one is a swiso, and another is a left-elevation view. everything is good except the left-elevation view which I would like to add details to. I am assuming I need to change the ucs so that i can place lines, dims and text and get them to show up without them snapping to 0 z.
how to hide notes? I use notes a lot when I work with someone else on the same file and I place the little postits near or exactly on top of the area I'm writing about. Is there a way to hide those like you can hide guides? I'm working on a particularly note-rich file and it's starting to look like a porcupine.
When I go to save my document, the Notes check box is grayed, no matter what I check or uncheck, and no matter what type of file I select it to be saved as, so I can't create any annotations.
I need to bring musical notes into a Photoshop document to create an opacity mask. Where can I find musical notes to match what I see on music sheets minus the lines. Just the pure notes. Not looking for a "free" option. Would be great if there was a font option because I need to write several lines to wrap around a 3D object.
Can I share my notes in properties in PSE7 with windows XP picture and fax viewer? I like to create caption, notes, comments in PSE7 on photos but when I look in windows XP picture viewer I do not see any of this information I would like to see any one of these things.
I have several spaces with the same types of case work. But instead of having each type have a general key note, I would like each instance of the type have a unique key note similar to the way doors work.
I use romcat to catalogue and find files that we create. I've noticed that if X5 is installed on windows XP the save dialogue shows place to insert 'keyword's and 'notes' as before, however if X5 is installed on Vista or Windows 7 the field are now listed as 'Title' and 'Subject' and cannot be used by Romcat. Under a Vista or Windows 7 installation when a 'save as' to an X3 or earlier version is used, the dialogue box refers to 'tags' and 'comments' which are read correctly by Romcat.
Is there any way the save dialogue can include' keywords' and 'notes' without saving as an earlier version?

I am working on some VB code to reterive the dimensions fron an IDW and put them on an excel spreadsheet for an Inspection report. I found some code to which gets the linear dimensions and have added tolerance type and tolerance bands.
I have been unable to get the hole notes off the IDW. Got the general notes to work with the following
Dim invDrawNotes As Inventor.DrawingNotes Dim invActDrawNotes As Inventor.DrawingNote Set invDrawNotes = invActSHT.DrawingNotes
I changed jobs about three weeks ago, and went from AutoCAD 2012, to Mechanical 2009. The transition has been seamless, except for one thing: text. The templates here are set up with generic notes etc, using single line text. I can't stand it.I tried the txt2mtxt trick, but it didn't work. Anytime I convert existing text to mtext, or try to create new, mtext, the editor window will come up, but not allow me to type anything.
Is there a way to show the description for something. Let say i made a bridge and i wanna show the description on the model that the length is 10M and the base should be this and that. i wanna show the instruction on the model so the next person who works on the project knows what this object is and what is does. it's like a blueprint.
Any way to create sheet notes in Revit? I would like to be able to point at anything and place a tag (like a circle with a letter inside) and then have a list of notes that I can place on the sheet. I don't want to have to tag a specific item (like a door or a wall), I just want the arrow to indicate a point in space (like an arrow connected to text), but have a tag at the end of the arrow instead of text then have that tag reference some sort of legend that I can place on a sheet. Is this possible in Revit? If not, why not - this is a common requirement in architectural drawings.
I have placed a srting of text on an Inventor 2012 drawing howver I can't edit it once placed - double clicking / right clicking does not give me any options.

I would like to add notes to some pictures in my Lightroom catalog. I know how to use keywords, but in some cases keywords are not enough. For example if you want to note the names of a group of persons from left to right. You can enter the names as keywords, but then the names will be sort alphabetically - so you have the names, but later no information who is who on the picture! I would like to enter notes to some pictures, but don't know how I can do that in Lightroom? I think about many cases where notes would be useful. Another example is, if you would like to describe a situation, which the picture shows (What happened there? Background information to the picture or something like this). You only can enter keywords, but you are not able to enter some sentences. Any existing solution or could this be a new feature in Lightroom? I prefer to add notes to the Lightroom catalog not directly into the metadata (like EXIF or XMP).
I need to make a series of subtle corrections to match an output. I want to use Virtual copies. But I can't see how I can for instance label copy 1 "Reduced Saturation" or "-10 Clarity"
With several VCs of the same original image, If I try to change something in meta data it copies over to its siblings as well.
where I work I have to take photos of bank notes and use them for promotional purposes. we have permission to do this, but my Corel PhotoPaint software wont let me use the images!
I am having trouble exporting to a PDF to use in an InDesign document. If exports fine, but it looks AWFUL and doesn't show my annotations or notes clearly at all. it's all blurred.
Currently we have about 30 sheets where we xref the same construction note and legend. The client is asking us to remove notes that don't apply to each sheet. For example, sheet 1 will not need note 2, 6, 10, 11. Sheet 2 will not need 3, 5, 10, and 11, etc.
Same goes for the legend- they don't want to see something if it does not apply to the sheet.
Other than bringing in those notes and legend into each sheet and modifiying it, I can't think of another way to do this. Previously, if I needed to change the wording of note 4, I change it once and I'm done. If I need to change anything now, I will need to open up 20 sheets.
Also, they want to remove the note completely, and not just cover up the note with "Not used this sheet."
When using alternate dimensions in hole notes it repeats the full note for both dimension units. I would like to only have the dimensional data have the alternate information and not repeat the full note (see attached file).
I posted this in Autocad General but was wondering if I can do something using C3D tables or labels...

Is there a way to create key notes automatically in R2013? Similar to automatic numbering in mtext, but with a hexagon or circle around each number at the beginning of each line. Right now I just type my paragraph then manually insert a key note with attributes at the appropriate location. Problem is when I add or delete text from the paragraph, the line spacing may change, then I have to manually re-align all the key note blocks.
