Feb 20, 2013If you select any object ( a line in example ) you must to enter esc by keyboard .....
I'd like (I 'd need ...) to do this with my mouse....

AutoCAD Inventor :: Cannot Exit IV 2012 - Hangs On Exit
Dec 16, 2011I am using Inventor Product Design Suite 2012. When I try to exit Inventor 2012 it just hangs there indefinitely every time. I have to use task manager to shut down Inventor. It doesn't matter if I use Inventor during that session or not. It was installed with all default settings and most current patches installed. It was also installed with administrator privledges and UAC turned off. This ia a clean install on a new hard disk drive.
The AutoCAD products in the bundle will hang sometimes on exit if plotting was the last command in that session.
My system is:
HP XW 8400
Dual Zeon 3.0 GHz CPU's
4 GB Ram
NVidia Quadro FX1800 Graphics Card
Windows 7 Professional with all current updates
All drivers are current
There are no anti virus software packages on this system. The hard drive still has 120 GB free space.

Nov 29, 2012On occasion when on a layout tab and making a few changes in model space and I preview while model space is still active, crosshairs disappear when I exit preview. So I then save, close and reopen, it is then back to normal.

May 20, 2007Finding some "usability" issues with PS...If i want to edit a textbox I know I have to specifically select the text tool but after making a change to one text box im finding the only way i can exit the current textbox and select another is to click another tool on the toolbar, then click the other textbox! Surely I should just be able to click the next textbox straight away to select it(?) Or there be some short cut to exit current selection (?)

Sep 5, 2013When modeling, I regularly select multiple polys/edges/vertexes/etc., so as to manipulate them as needed. When selecting them, I hold down Ctrl and left-click with my mouse, which is when my issue occurs.I have an extremely annoying tendency to move my selection around a little when I'm in the process of selecting objects - most of the time I notice and undo it, but every now and again, I miss miniscule movements, only to discover later on, that parts of my model is out of alignment.
So, is there any way to disable the mouses' ability to move selections around? I'm more than happy using the gizmos for moving selected objects.
Photoshop :: No Longer Move Selection Tool With Mouse
Jun 14, 2012All of a sudden in the last two weeks I can no longer move my selection tool with my mouse. It will only move with the arrow keys. Also, I am unable to deselect by clicking the mouse, only by Ctrl+D or selecting another tool. I have not changed anything with my system in 5 months.

Apr 28, 2011I'm trying to use GIMP on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick), installed using the regular packages. It seems to work fine apart from one problem: when I make a selection with e.g. the rectangle selection tool, there's no visible feedback of how big the selection is, only the cursor is visible(couldn't take a screenshot while the mouse button was clicked, but tried to show it at [URL] ......).
If I try to resize a rectangle, the inside purple line moves, while the outside purple line stays where it was (instead of showing how big the new rectangle will become when I release the mouse button).
Also, possibly related, there are sometimes purple artifacts from old selections.

Mar 20, 2007On Civil3D 2007, at least on my machine, the mouse seems to move slowly when it is over the drawing space, but moves at normal speeds when over menu or toolbar items and when in other applications. It's almost as if the "resolution" of the mouse changes as soon as it is over the drawing area in Civil3D. The result is that the mouse/pointer falls behind a little bit when you move it, almost like it does when you use a remote computer over a slow network connection. This makes it difficult to have precise mouse movements.
I should also mention that I don't have this problem in any other applications, including Land Desktop 2006. Some hardware specifics: Dell, P4-HT 3.0GHz, XPpro machine, 2 gig of RAM, RADEON X600 256MB video card, single monitor, Logitech Mx500 mouse, all updates current.

Apr 12, 2013how to turn off the mouse function when the mouse cursor moves over a feature, such as an edge, point, or surface, and highlights it. I don't want it highlighting the features automatically. I want it to highlight once I click over a feature. My colleagues and I are very distraught by this feature, and will be discontinuing our use of your products that do not allow us to turn this feature off. I'm not sure why you'd want to weed your customer base like this, assuming that I can't turn this option off from the research I've done pouring through the hundreds of complaints related to this issue. I haven't been able to find any posts recently, or regarding Inventor 2013 specificially on this issue, so I was hoping this version had the option of turning it off. Does any of Autodesk's software, such as AutoCAD, have the option of turning it off?

I installed c3d 2013 trial still i get same problem. I installed autodesk certified driver same problem.

Dec 19, 2012I would like to add a Rebuild Surface command to my Ribbon Modify Panel. I would also like to have it included in my Right Click menu after a surface is selected. There doesn't appear to be any way to initiate a surface rebuild from the command line and I don't find a command for it in the CUI editor.
There does seem to be a rebuild command in the API but I am not a programmer. Is this possible without programming?

Oct 15, 2010The screen flickers when I move the mouse around an open drawing. I just applied the latest patch to Civil 3D 2010. It was not doing this before the patch.
Have Quadro 3500 video card. Updated the driver for that with no change.
Have a Logitech wireless mouse, M310. Up dated the driver for that with effect.
Changed to a wired mouse, no change.
Is there a setting in Autocad where I can set the refresh rate so that it does not refresh while moving the mouse. Or at least slow the automatic refresh rate down?

I have tried turn off tooltips on general options but... yes I dont see tooltips but the mouse seems to investigate the objects below the cursor....

Apr 26, 2013It used to be with previous releases of AutoCAD that when I opened the application it restored the window size and position to how it was when I last used it, but with 2013 and now 2014 I find this is not the case.
Basically, I most of the time am happier not having the application fill the full width of the screen, so I have the left side pulled in a certain amount, but not only do I have to pull it in each time, but there is also a small gap at the top, bottom an right side that I have to close up, which is irritating.

Jan 25, 2013If I have one layer containing different kinds of objects in different colour, is there any way I can select all those of one color? For example, I have houses in magenta and roads in white but in the same layer. If I mark a house and use Select Similar the entire layer will get selected although I just want to select the houses. Can I do a selection based on the colour they have?

Jul 8, 2013I've got a bunch of tags with a dedicated "tag mode" style, and if I select them individually I can add them to a table, no problem. However, if I try to do a mass selection of a swath of labeled lines or arcs i get the option to convert all non-tag labels to tag lables (I don't want that) OR don't add those labels not in tag mode (presumably keepin those that are). The problem I have is if I select the latter it deselcts everything. Am I missing something or does this not function as it implies (or at least how I wish it would)?

Dec 5, 2012I am developing Addin for inventor in C#.
I have added single panel in my new ribbon tab. This panel contains a single button.
When user clicks this button then a dockable window is invoked.
Now I want to insert 'Exit' Panel(and "Finish" button in it) to kill the above dockable window.
e.g. If we switch on sketch mode then to exit from this mode the 'Finish' button is there in all tabs of ribbon

I want to use this behaviour in my addin.
Is there any API to add this 'Exit' panel to terminate from any button command or do we need to add it ourselves?
