It seems that the object was created by the Geotechnical modules. It cannot be exported to AutoCAD. I tried to use the command "Export or Explode", all object will be disappeared e.g. borehole onto the profile, geologies contour line onto the profile… after clicked the commands.

I have about 500 .dsf files (from iGrafxDesigner ... maybe 1999 version).I need to convert these to .svg. I would like to avoid having to write an import/export script, but I have done scripting for AutoCAD, Rhino3d, and Lightwave3d, so if necessary I could do it I suppose.

Seems it takes forever to respond to changing styles/views/visual styles etc and Civil 3D goes into the classic dimmed screen and "Not Responding" mode.

For instance, I select Field A and Field B as active fields in the Object Data Manager and enter "x" and "y" respectively, as the fields' value. The callout then produces the text "Field A = x" and "Field B = y". I only want to display the field's value (i.e., x and y). I don't want or need the "Field A =" or "Field B" = " displayed.

The problem is the contours have the elevation listed under object information, not geometry (the contours were brought in from a GIS file, which I do not have access to, or I would bring them in again with the elevations properly assigned, this is not an option). AutoCAD MAP loads a some AEC modules when initialising.

I have a sheet set that i have been adding sheets to for a couple weeks and inserting fields to reference page numbers and titles. I installed service pak2 today and now all of a sudden I am not able to insert fields. I get an AutoCAD warning that says " there are no registered modules to edit fields or demand loading is currently disabled. I have not changed a single setting other then loading service pak. This sheet set is over a 150pgs right now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn the process of cretaing an installer for a RealDWG based web application(VS2010 web setup project). The intended target environments for now will be win server 2003 and win 7. They will be fairly clean in the sense that no other autodesk or realdwg based products are installed or is planned to be installed.
The tips and techniques chapter of the RealDWG documentation have a section of how to create an installer and it says that all merge modules from the Redistrib folder should be added to the installer.
However the Redistribution requirements chapter mentions that for Shapemager functionality either a couple of merge modules should be included (for read/write support) or a couple of other merge modules should be included(read only support).
I've tried to only include the mergemodules that are listed as required but that did not work when I tried to run the deplyed app. (acdbmgd.dll missed several dependencies to other dll's that were not listed as required). When trying to include everything I get errors when doing a validation of the msi in Orca(probably originating from the shapemanager mergemodules).
I have a lot of AutoCAD files which have embedded OLE objects (excel) inside. I want to be able to export only the text from the Excel OLE object using VBA (or Lisp, I don't mind which) without having to fire up the OLE application (i.e. Excel).
The embedded OLE objects have no link to any external files - so I imagine it must all be held somehow inside the AutoCAD file, but how it can be accessed?!!?

Can you export an OLE object from a DWG back to an Excel file/document?
I am transforming water system components from Autocad dwg files (created in Civil 3d 2013 I think) to a personal (or file) geodatabase in ArcGIS 10.1. I am not familair with using Civil 3d.
I would like to know if there is some way I can export (as ESRI shapefile) AECC alignment objects (waterlines) as lines/polylines and preserve associated data (flow direction and station label info) as field attributes associated with the lines/polylines. I am not sure if there is elevation data associated with the alignments, but would want to preserve that data too if it is available.

What does this mean or is it a bug?
When switching from the Library to Develop module, there's a several second delay. However, when going to the Book module, LR4.1 will beach ball for a good 15-20 seconds. Other modules (Slideshow, Print, Web) are better, but....
My spec's: 2010 15" MacBook Pro, 2.4Ghz i5, 8gigs of RAM, 500gig 7200rpm HD, nVidia 330 with 256mb of video RAM.
It seems that in Lightroom 4 you have the ability to turn off individual modules by right clicking on them and unchecking whichever ones you don't use. I'm wondering if when modules are unchecked, does that increase the speed or performance of the system?
I recently upgraded to LR4 from 3 and definitely experienced a major slow down. That being said, when I uncheck everything except the development module, the sluggishness completely disappears. Is turning individual modules off actually improve performance?
Each time I want to edit an image from LR in PS (edit in PS as hdr, edit in photoshop as panorama,...) I´m asked to update the ACR module from PS CS5 to ACR 7.3 which is not possible. Is there a possibility that this incompatibility will be abandoned in future updates of PS and/or LR?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI opened a shirt in daz and exported as .u3d then opened it in photoshop cs5. I then painted on it, etc and got it the way I wanted it. My problem is I can’t get the .u3d object back in daz or saved as an obj or any 3d format so I can get it back in daz. When I use the daz bridge export as u3d it opens a accept window in daz but nothing loads.
I know the shirt is not going to be the same as when I exported it but I would still like to get it back in daz. The shirt was just want I picked to try and learn how to get models back and forth between the two programs. Do I need to use the adobe bridge? And if so how? I tried to research exchange file but has no luck.
How do I get Libray to display in the Modules area?
