Jul 27, 2013I get this message even after 3 attempts to unistall and re-install lr5. I even deleted the downloads and re-downloaded it twice to make sure. It will not let me import or do anything.I an trying to do the free trial so I can decide between this or Aperture. If I cannot run the trial, I wonder if I will be able to run the full version! I will be using this in conjunction with nik soft or topaz, and need to know if everything will play nice together.

Jun 18, 2012When switching from the Library to Develop module, there's a several second delay. However, when going to the Book module, LR4.1 will beach ball for a good 15-20 seconds. Other modules (Slideshow, Print, Web) are better, but....
My spec's: 2010 15" MacBook Pro, 2.4Ghz i5, 8gigs of RAM, 500gig 7200rpm HD, nVidia 330 with 256mb of video RAM.
Lightroom :: Does Turning Off Modules Speed Up 4
Apr 18, 2012It seems that in Lightroom 4 you have the ability to turn off individual modules by right clicking on them and unchecking whichever ones you don't use. I'm wondering if when modules are unchecked, does that increase the speed or performance of the system?
I recently upgraded to LR4 from 3 and definitely experienced a major slow down. That being said, when I uncheck everything except the development module, the sluggishness completely disappears. Is turning individual modules off actually improve performance?

Dec 29, 2012Each time I want to edit an image from LR in PS (edit in PS as hdr, edit in photoshop as panorama,...) I´m asked to update the ACR module from PS CS5 to ACR 7.3 which is not possible. Is there a possibility that this incompatibility will be abandoned in future updates of PS and/or LR?

I've asked this question before, and Adobe's response was something I'd expect from MicroSlop ("it's a feature, not a bug) - specifically, it takes upwards of 25 seconds for the Book module to load (system specs below). Adobe's response was that the individual modules don't load until you click on them. Blurb book quality - I've had a couple of friends, and numerous posts on the Blurb forums, complaining about the quality of their books. I did several with Aperture and had no issues. After I have re-imported a corrupted xml file with print templates, LR starts with error "An error occured while trying to switch between modules" (or so, translated from german).This happens after selecting a catalog - however, regardless of the catalog choosen (even after creating a new one).Funny enough, for other users on the same system, the problem does not occur.

Apr 9, 2013I have been working on a set of images from a recent vacation and created a web gallery to display them. I am using a Retina MacBook Pro and I noticed that when loaded in the browser (Safari), the gallery images look slightly blurry - similar to "non-retina" prepared images. I also created a slideshow in the slideshow module and they look the same.
if this is due to the fact that Lightroom is not rendering the preview images to be compatible with retina (HiDPI) support? I have invested in such an expensive piece of hardware and I'm getting such blurry looking images.

I installed service pak2 today and now all of a sudden I am not able to insert fields. I get an AutoCAD warning that says " there are no registered modules to edit fields or demand loading is currently disabled. I have not changed a single setting other then loading service pak. This sheet set is over a 150pgs right now.

Mar 29, 2011The latest version has built upon the QuickSwap module (select 2 images and then swap them with one click) by adding a QuickSwapSize module which not only swaps 2 images, but also swaps their sizes.The macro also has the original module SwapImage module which pops up a userform and allows the user to choose how the 2 images are swapped (e.g. swap the position of their top left corners, bottom right corners, etc). AutoCAD .NET :: Merge Modules For Installer For RealDWG 2013 Application
Feb 20, 2013In the process of cretaing an installer for a RealDWG based web application(VS2010 web setup project). The intended target environments for now will be win server 2003 and win 7. They will be fairly clean in the sense that no other autodesk or realdwg based products are installed or is planned to be installed.
The tips and techniques chapter of the RealDWG documentation have a section of how to create an installer and it says that all merge modules from the Redistrib folder should be added to the installer.
However the Redistribution requirements chapter mentions that for Shapemager functionality either a couple of merge modules should be included (for read/write support) or a couple of other merge modules should be included(read only support).
I've tried to only include the mergemodules that are listed as required but that did not work when I tried to run the deplyed app. (acdbmgd.dll missed several dependencies to other dll's that were not listed as required). When trying to include everything I get errors when doing a validation of the msi in Orca(probably originating from the shapemanager mergemodules).

Mar 12, 2013I am trying to set up auto importing by tethered shooting with a Canon 1Ds (but don't think brand and camera matter.)
I never use DNG, and am not aware of, and after a lot of searching, cannot find anywhere in the LR4.3 preferences at which I specified DNG conversion. In the Auto0Import dialog there is a File-handling tab that offers one choice: how to spell the dng suffix. The files I want to import will come in as CR2., and testing this with other folder destinations and with Canon's EOS Utility prove that the camera is "sending" CR2 files.
