Apr 6, 2011Is it possible to add a base depth to the transition lane assembly? I need to do volumes for my road, (pavement, base) but there is a section with a transition (which only has one depth), so that section is off.

Jan 19, 2013Whenever I try and click on the "Render Settings" button, it gives me this error at the bottom right of my screen. It appears in red, so I am guessing it is a critical error or something along those lines.
But once I click the "Render Settings" button once more, the window pops up (with the addition of the error) but with absolutely no options or tabs to choose from or click on. With the exception of the render layer option and the render type (Maya Software and so on). This leads me to believe that this error (being: Error: ImportError: No module named stereo), is preventing Maya from functioning properly and preventing me from modifying all of the appropriate render options.
Lightroom :: Error Message When Switching From Library Module To Slideshow Module?
Jan 26, 2013I am running LR4 ver4.3. All of a sudden I receied an error message stating cannnot switch to module. I have tried all the usual stuff before going out to the web to look for fixes. On adobe's site they recommended 6 things which I did exactly as instructed and still nothing..I am running iMac mountain lion and everything on my computer is up to date.

I have in the past brought in the data successfully (2012, though not often)?
Datum and projection are correct, the data goings in to ArcGIS(had GIS group five the file a try).
The error message in not any more specific than "there was an error processing data"
CorelCAD :: Import From Technical Designer X5
Jun 1, 2011I exported a drawing (Clipper ship drawing) from TDX5 to CorelCAD .dwg format.Here are some first findings/remarks:
1. Bezier curves are displayed as "segmented" lines - should be bezier curves or adapted splines. (My Clipper ship drawings contain hundreds of bezier curves next to B-splines).
2. Texture fills are not displayed properly, only fragments and on wrong places.
3. Hidden layers are exported and shown - there should be an option to indicate whether a hidden layer should be exported or not. Better still in CorelCAD a hidden layer should remain hidden until a "show layer" command is issued. Now you have to delete a hidden layer before exporting the drawing. (My ships drawings contain many layers, many of them often hidden).
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: HecRas Import Georefrencing Error
Sep 19, 2012I'm new to exporting from AutoCad Civil3d 2011 to HecRas and I've run into a problem and not sure what the solution is. I export out my alignment, sample lines and surface data to a GEO file and when I try to import it into HecRas it gives me the error that not all my cross sections are georefrenced, its as though the samples lines past a certain point on my alignment aren't georeferenced (according to HeacRas)

Oct 19, 2011I have three .des files that I cannot open. I can see the drawing in the preview window prior to opening but the files themselves won't open. Sometimes the error message I receive states there is an error reading a bitmap, other times that there is an invalid object in the drawing.
Given the choice of abort, retry or ignore, I click on retry which make another window pop up with the same message and choices. Clicking ignore only makes Designer crash. Is there some command in Designer similar to the audit command in AutoCAD that can save these drawings for me?

Aug 19, 2013It seems that the object was created by the Geotechnical modules. It cannot be exported to AutoCAD. I tried to use the command "Export or Explode", all object will be disappeared e.g. borehole onto the profile, geologies contour line onto the profile… after clicked the commands.

Mar 13, 2012I just upgraded from LR3.6 to 4.0. When trying to import images the import module freezes for a few minutes and then displays the import screen. However, when selecting a source the program freezes again and eventually crashes.
I had the same issue when upgrading to 3.6 some time ago and then found that disabling some USB controllers solved the problem. This works for LR4 as well. As I don't need all USB connections this is a workable solution, however, disabling controllers should not be necessary to run a program.
System is an Acer Aspire 7811 64 bits w/ Intel i7, Win 7 Home Premium, 8 GB internal mem and no external drives.

May 11, 2004I have Photoshop 7 installed ands till recently it was running fine but from just day before yesterday I cannot use the filters. Whenever I try to use it it says "Cannot complete action due to error in Module Interface", I have also tried by reinstalling photshop but it doesnot work.

I would like something like catchment area but the ability to specify a depth distance. Or specify a depth in the water shed analysis in the surface properties.
The only way I know to do what I want is user defined contours for each elevation. Is there a better way to do get a specific shed area for a depth?

When I import a Nef uncompressed file into Elements it gives me an error box...Unsupported Color Depth. I must change these pictures to a supported color depth. Jan 23, 2011I'm currently setting up a band set and want to include a band "pipe invert depth" i.e. basically trench depth.
There are properites in the band label style composer for "pipe invert level" and for "cover" and for "pipe diameter" but not pipe invert depth.Is there a way to display the pipe invert depth relative to the reference (design) surface/alignment?
A secondary question to this is can you use basic arithmetic in the band label style composer? eg pipe cover + pipe diameter?

Also I've seen charts with depths as fathoms and feet so 64 feet depth would be 104.

Aug 21, 2013I was recently trying to find the normal depth in a natural channel to use as an outfall water surface elevation in SSA. I double checked the normal depth calculations using the Express Add-On in Civil 3D. I found that while the normal depths correlated closely for channels with a single roughness coefficient, they varied considerably if a composite roughness coefficient was used for the left and right overbanks. This leads me to believe that composite roughnesses are being calculated incorrectly in SSA. I would like to use SSA for floodplain analysis, but am unwilling to do so until I have confidence in the calculations.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Subassembly Composer - Ditch Depth In Fill Condition
Feb 2, 2013I am trying to create a custom subassembly using SAC 2012 that will place a 1' deep ditch at the bottom of the slope in a fill condition. The trouble I am having is how to hold a consant 1' depth on the backslope and vary the foreslope since the daylight offset and elevation is variable depending on the slope of the existing ground. I need the attachment point to be the edge of the shoulder so it seems like a loop that varies the foreslope length would be required but loops are not allowed. I will also have the option to target a profile but I also need the ability to hold a constant ditch depth.
How to model this condition.
