Is it possible to add a base depth to the transition lane assembly? I need to do volumes for my road, (pavement, base) but there is a section with a transition (which only has one depth), so that section is off.

I have created an alignment for the lane transition to follow but the wall stays in the same place. Shouldn't the wall move with the lane transition? The sub assembly are inserted connecting each other. what am I missing?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI need to have a subassembly for a superelevation where the lane and base slope to the left and the bottom of the sub-base will slope to the right. I was using the LanSuperelevationAOR subassembly, which worked fine with my superelevation when the lane, base and sub-base were all sloping the the left, now I need to edit the slope of the sub-base only to slope back to the right at a -2%.

I want to generate a report by sample line station that gives me the cut/fill quantities between my assembly(s) sub-base links and the existing ground. I have section sheets cut with sample lines and the EG surface DREF'd. Am I correct in assuming that you need to create the sub-base surface, (for every corridor, I have 18), to be able to get the cut/fill volumes? The corridor is Xref'd into the section cut sheets, so no hope of generating a surface in the cut sheets from the corridor. Can you have the EG surface defined in the Edit Material List and the sub-base as a corridor shape and get the cut/fill volumes? I have tried and I get zeros in the earthworks report.

i have attachment material report, the three numbers marked in my attachment are the end areas calculated by the software. So, i want to know how those numbers are calculated .. manual calculated with formula ..
In C3D 2009 you can generate material tables through "Sections" that tell you cumulative volumes for pavement, subbase and base material in separate tables. Separate, meaning you have to generate each table individually. Is there a way to create a materials table that gives me cumulative volumes for these three materials in one generation of a table.
Note: I am currently generating four separate tables (total volume and 3 material tables, 5 min per table) for each of my corridor driveways - I have 82 driveways total = 328 tables
What are some workflows people are using for creating P&P sheets?
I have a project that is 8 miles long so I created all the profile views (18) in one base map drawing using the plan production tool and then they are xrefed into my individual sheets.
I'm finding that doing a save or regen take approx. 30 seconds each time. That seems unusually slow to me.
I asked my reseller about it, and their comment was "We wouldn't recommend that many profile views in one drawing".
I assumed (maybe falsely) that if the plan production tool allowed it, then it should work.
I am trying to xref a base drawing. But everytime I insert the drawing, the scale factor always comes up to be 12. I tried changing it, but it won't let me. I have attached an image of the problem I am getting.

The surface turned out to be wrong because some of the points in the Lane Outside Super Layer Varying Width subassembly are uncoded. Everything I've looked at seems to be programming related (over my head). Do I need to download a composer for 2014? I didn't see one on the list for 2014.

When we use the offsets, we are having issues when we have a negative number: BC ST H-.5. The line will not offset, it just comes in directly on top of the original line. When we use a positive number, it offsets correctly: BC ST H1.4 V.1. Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed for it to read the negative numbers?

I have a base drawing with all my pipe networks data referenced in. When I xref this drawing into out drawings some of the pipe styles and structure styles are displaying differently than in the base file. Both drawings have same parts lists and styles.

I want to make some points in 3D sketch base on the Coordinate System that I defined (UCS).Is there any solution to make these points in 3D sketch just by inputing their coordinates in my UCS?
Example: the new UCS origin has (x,y,z) coordinates from the origin.and one of the points has the coordinates of (x',y',z') from the UCS.
So from the origin it has the coordinates of (x+x',y+y',z+z').Is it possible to just use (x',y',z') from UCS directly to get my point?
I am taking some AutoCAD classes at the local community college, using AutoCAD 2012.
Using previous versions of AutoCAD the copy with base point is in the on screen right click drop down window.
To use the Copy With Base Point The Clip Board icon needs to be selected. How to get the Copy with Base Point and other paste commands in the drop down window as in all previous versions.
It is about year I use Project Basejump (Bing Map servise) for AutoCAD Map 3D 2013 in my AutoCAD Map 2013 and it works good.
But lately I wanted to test AutoCAD Map 2014 downloading from Autodesk website demo version. I saw that Project Basejump for AutoCAD Map 3D 2013 can not installed to the new - AutoCAD Map 2014 version. I thought that it may be possible copping DLL files from FDO AutoCAD Map 2013 folder to FDO AutoCAD Map 2014 folder and adding commands (or strings) from "provider.xml' of AutoCAD Map 2013 to AutoCAD Map 2014 "provider.xml' file. But it did not worked. Is there any way to use Project Basejump in AutoCAD Map 2014?

If I wanted to link the base view to a different model, would this be possible.
When I double click on the base view it shows the file path for the model that is currently chosen; however, it is all grey and I am unable to edit it or choose another file path.
How to change this? Is this even possible? Is it because I have annotated the drawing view that I am unable to change the model path?
what could have happened in an assembly when I've changed the cube front view (3D)? The projection has changed automatically (the view) in 2D. In other assemblies didn't happened the thing I've mentioned before even if I did the same thing meaning that I've modified the front view but 2D stayed in the same projection.

Right now the default is 9' so when I select the wall & go into Properties, I see under Dimensions where I can change the Height but I have to select two points. I'm unable to type in 34'. Same thing with the Length. Where do I say I want this one wall to be 34'?
