Undefined group code 10 for object on line 2106.
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.
I created stream profiles in RASPLOT using its DXF Editor but when I try to open up the DXFs in AutoCAD I get the above error.
When trying to open the dxf file provided by my customer in AutoCAD 2013, it terminates with the error message as
'Undefined group code 440 for object on line 4974 Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded.'
I am getting "Undefined group code 440 for object on line 3222." when I try to load a DXF back into CAD.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've recently updated one of my PC's. I tried to launch VS x5 and I received a "corrupt file message" with error code 38. I've read all of the previous threads here and others online referring to Protexis Licensing V2 in the Services tab. I've un-installed, reinstalled several times. Would be nice is a "Repair" option was available. I've entered the serial numbers, several times, made it to the "Register Product" page but can never get the program to start. This was an update from VS 4 and I've entered the serial number for that when prompted. I have the program working just fine on another completely new system. Both are running Windows 7.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to be able to choose a desired feature line when extracting from a corridor? For example, when subgrade and finished grade are on top of each other, it seems subgrade is always coming as default for extraction. I'm not getting the option to select the desired point code as usual for some reason. The best way I found is by turning off the subgrade feature line from the corridor properties, which is a bit tedious.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a feature line, and a labels table created for it. The table has the following columns: Line or Curve #, Station, Segment Start X, Segment Start Y, Segment Start X, Bearing/Delta, Length, Radius, Grade Ahead.
what code I need for the table to display the station of the feature line at the start of the segment?
I also have an alignment with the same stationing over top of the feature line, but Im not sure how to code a reference text into the table either. I can create an end segment reference text for the plan view labels but even if I copy that code into the labels table it doesn't work.
When saving to PSD i'm getting error with no description.
Design with around 20 layers with 3 text layers. What can be wrong?

Is there a way to project just one feature line (or anything appropiate...polyline, 3d poly etc) into the sections group or profiles ?
The thing is that Projection tool, labels everything that's a Block, Point, 3d poly ...etc to the sections group.
And it puts all labels in the same layer.
My project theme requires to project forest limit on every section. This is appearing on the survey as a polyline along the road. Civil Engineer / Infrastructure of metropolitan transports [URL]
The message reads "One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specified format. The operation was not completed and no file was created." I am using AutoCad Civil 3D 2011.

Also, I'm not sure if this is related to the first part. In the same drawing I have several png files that I can't get rid of.
Just picked up this Extendscript for a quick utility function. I can't seem to use any of the "usual" Javascript logic contstructs to test for undefined object properties.
Example:
typeof(app.activeDocument) === "undefined"
This is an *error* in Extendscript (Error 1302: No such element). I don't believe it should be, but if I'm supposed to do something different in Extendscript.

Bring that back from the archives... because I am still very fond of redoing hundreds of cross sections because you're incable of redistributing the graphs when a sample line is added to a an existing group... and blow up all of the projections well done.... way to leave out a super critical dynamic component.

I have a baseplan I was sent for senior design project and it was previously created in an earlier version of autocad. However Im not sure which version it was created in. There are almost 3000 points and contours but I can not use these points to create a surface. I am ultimately trying to create a surface and then a profile for a road to design vertical curves throughout.
I cut out a few points and copied them into a new drawing due to the size of the actual file

I have a corridor with an associated sample line group, and I have produced some material volume tables to give me quantities for my corridor structures and cut/fill volumes. When I look at the material volume tables they are at a seemingly arbitrary stationing. The sample line group which the material volume tables are (supposedly) based on are on alignment L1000 and they run from station 1133+73 to station 1154+00 every 10 meters. The material volume tables show volumes broken down by stations starting at station 3719+58.66 and runs through to station 3786+08.92. It is sampling at a seemingly arbitrary frequency, there is absolutely no alignment in my drawing that has stations remotely resembling those numbers, and there is definitely no sample line group it could be using that samples an alignment or stationing anything like that shown in the materials volume tables. When I run my corridor I get an error message that says "Failed Target Not Found" it is for the subassembly provided by WisDOT called UrbMedian.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on a 6 mile highway project whose surface file is 85MB big. So, I created a Data Shortcut of this surface and used this for creating profiles. However, at some locations the corridors go below the surface(as per their original profile) which was not intended. So, I need to restrict the surface to follow the corridors but not go beyond it.
I have created feature lines from corridors and tried to add them as breaklines to the surface. But " error adding breakline" error pops up.
Is it because I am trying to add the breaklines to the mirror surface which I created from Data Shortcut ??
Will it be useful if I copy feature lines to original surface file and add these feature lines as breaklines in that file??

correct font style from 1071 group code in style table of dxf file ? I am able to read the Font name and font file name from group 1000 and 3 respectively, but not able to get the font style: whether it is Regular, Bold, Italic etc.
I know i have to decode the long values in 1071 group codes like: 50331682, 50372882 etc. But dont know how to arrive the Regular, Bold, Italic etc Font Style. How to decode this value ?
The requirement of above information to me is that i am making a Graphics viewer for a specific purpose which reads and displays Graphical Entities from DXF (ascii) file.
I am trying to use object snap (intersection) to position the end of my sample lines at the intersection of the sample line with a polyline. The object snap works with sample lines left of the alignment centerline but not on the right. How do I correct this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use the create feature lines from object command from the Survey pull-down menu and choose a "Associate figure survey point to vertices" I get a survey figure that uses point elevations at some vertices and 0 at others. However, if I use Create Feature Lines from Objects under the Grading pull-down, and use a surface made of just the points, I get a a figure with all the correct elevations.
I checked the vertices where the survey figure drops to 0 and the line is snapped to the point, distance = 0.0000. What gives?
How shall I draw lines into a created surface using raw or full description of ascii file format(COGO)
for example in the imported file i have points to describe a road center line(CL),or edge of the road(ERD),breaklines(BRKL) and want lines represented by the descriptions to be drawed in the surface so that i can use the lines as guides in profiles design.I didn't want to use point number which are not serially ,and have tried to use point grouping without any success

I have a marker on a cross section that was projected from a short feature line that I created from a 3DPolyline. If I move the cross section (they never come in correctly, right?), the feature line moves too. If I use a 3Dpoly, this doesn't happen. Only went to the feature line because for some reason, when I went to Project Multiple, the 3Dpolys weren't picked up.
Now I wondering if I've moved feature lines on other projects where I have moved the sections. Could be a real problem. Most of those, though, had a mix of feature lines and 3Dpolys, so they would only be partially messed up! Hopefully, I moved the sections before doing the projection.
