I see the 2011 is still up and I have read many web posts about the 2012 version. However, the page is gone. I really just want the Caltrans content to see what is there.

What happened with Google Earth extension? I cannot find it in labs. I've installed Map2012 on new laptop and I'm sure I had Google Earth plug in on the old one.

View 5 Replies View RelatedNew user for civil 3d and the hydraflow extension for civil 3d. I have my pipe network created, all the correct catchments are attached to the correct basin/inlet. i have opened my network in hydraflow and am ready to run it. when I click run it says no flow. Now I know there is another step i need to set my flow wth TOC, I've inputted that, i am using the standard idf curve hydraflow, i have the areas with their coefficients, however it is not calculating my flow rather it is telling me no flow is inputted for certain lines i.e. the ones with MH connections and no inlets.
I have attached my .stm file to this thread, i changed the extension so it would post, just delete the .doc from the extension and it should work in your hydraflow.
I received file with an extension DTED. I know this is a Digital Terrain Elevation Data but I don't know how to open/ run it.

Okay so LDD 09 will no longer be supported by why do we get a new version included with C3D 2013?The install package is larger than the original so there are some differences.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFrom my lidar point cloud, I created a surface with 1 & 5 foot contours. I then put in a feature line between two hills to represent a fenceline. I go to look at the properties of that 487 foot feature line and the 3D length is only 1/2 foot longer than the 2D. The min and max elevations difference is 22 feet. So how can the 3D line only be that much longer than the 2D?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm learning how to create extension (flex - extension builder) for Illustrator and how to make it communicate with a plugin.
The samples provided in the SDK detailed how to load /unload extension from a menu item from Illustrator, and how to add / remove EventListeners to make the magic happen.
to sum up, this is something like that:
1- click on the menu item
2- load extension
3- add listeners
4- do your stuff......
5- remove listeners
6- unload extension
Basically my plugin is a module/service which is in charge of dealing with / modifying artwork tree. It has no User Interface.
My extension will have a user of this service.
What I would like to do is to load my extension as soon as my plugin is loaded, and unload the extension when the plugin will be unloaded.
Or notify when extension is loaded or unloaded.
Is that possible and hw could I achieve that?
I'm using Inventor 2011 and I can't figure out how to set my dimension settings so it breaks the dimension extension lines automatically when crossing over other dimension extension lines. I saw that others say it just happens, but it is not "just happening" for me. how to set my dimensions so when dimension lines cross each other one of them automatically breaks?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am starting a Job in 2013 for the first time. Upgrade form 2011 C3D. The pipe structures are no longer updating when the surface updates. It will obtain an elevation from the surface when the structure is created but when I change the surface or even set the structure to a new surface, the Top of Casting will not update. Any thoughts as to whether or not this is a 2013 issue or if there is a new setting I need to change? This worked perfectly in 2011. I didn't use 2012.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to create DXF in AutoCAD 2012, Civil 3D 2012 and Lt 2012 and every time I try to open the DXF after creating it, it comes up with:
Error in APPID table
DXF rear error on line 21308
Invalid or incomplete DXF input - drawing discarded.
I've tried saving it various DXF formats: 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2010, and all show up with the same error.
just tested. no good. don't do it.
just a friendly warning. stick with 2013+win8
or
2012 + win7.
crashes all the time editing alignment/profile. (better). and corridors. (very bad).

I have windows 8 on new asus laptop N56VZ. Installed civil 3d 2013 with no problems (i see some people have problems with installing) but it doesn't work normal. It crashes every time i try to edit an alignment, old or new.
I had windows 8 beta on an older asus laptop and civil 3d work there normally. Then I upgraded it to win 8 and it started crashing like described.Today i bought that new asus n56vz with windows 8 and it is crashing.
I'm not finding any way to add a profile to an alignment using .net api.
Is com the only way?
I can get at pvis via .net, so seems off they would leave out ability to add profiles.

Just had to repair my installation, now I am unable to use any Civil 3D commands, anything with "AECC" in front of it is coming back with "unknown command"?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to use the "DWG to PDF.pc3" driver, I'm getting TIN triangles in my PDF. They don't show up in the "Print Preview", just in the resulting PDF. They also don't show up if I print directly to a printer. Only in the PDF. Never saw this before installing SP2.1.

I just installed Civil 3D 2012 64 bit on a new computer running Windows 8. It starts up fine, but when I pull up a drawing, about 1 or 2 minutes later, the program shuts down and I have to restart Civil 3D. I've pulled up several different drawings from different sources, and it does the same thing. First, a window pops up for a split second, and I can't read the contents of the window. Then, I get the window that says Civil 3D is shutting down.

We just recieved 2014 C3D upgrade from 2012. I opened a 2012 dwg and saved in the 2013 file format. now when i attempt to open the drawing in 2014, C3D freezes while loading the drawing. It can't seem to get past "reading triangles from file". Weird thing is i can open a copy of the original 2012 DWG and work for minutes or hours in 2014 saving many times along the way and if i close the DWG and attemp to re-open, it freezes up everytime. I have done this same procedure with other DWG's and don't have any issues.

Iv'e been using Land Desktop 2005 and 'am checking out a trial of 3D 2012. Needless to say I'm used to the 2005 format where there is simply a tab for Projects to create a new project or manage existing projects.
