Dim sval As String = Application.GetSystemVariable("OSMODE")

I know can change this variable using Application.SetSystemVariable("OSMODE", Val) but what value to change it to.
How to adjust the Qleader Settings(ex. to set the points number to unlimited, etc).

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe use ordinate dimensions for all holes in parts. Unfortunately there seems to be features frequently left out of ordinate dimension mode. For instance, by default Inventor uses center and quadrant object snaps. Unlike in normal dimension mode, there is no right click option for disabling quadrant snaps. This is a constant annoyance, especially when dimensioning a print with a lot of holes. Is there any other way or hidden setting to disable the quadrant snap? In addition, add member is missing from the new "marking menu" completely so we have to enable the old right click menu to get it back. Are we the only ones using ordinate dimensions?

I have a drawing of Clock Face here (see the picture below), which requires donut for the outer circle. My first question is, looking at the picture, what would be the limits, grid, and snap settings? I made an attempt with the limits (0',0') (12',9'), with Grid =0'-0 1/2", and Snap = 0'-0 1/4", but it didn't work out well. I tried to make the Snap 0'-0 1/32" but it couldn't, neither 0'-0 1/16", nor 0'-0 1/8". Why can't I set the Snap to 0'-0 1/32"?
Next, I would like to know how the outer circle could be constructed with donut. The small inner circle below it is of 1'-11" + 1" + 1" in diameter, that is, 2'-1". If then the Donut (as shown) is to be of 24" inside x 1" thick, the 2'-1" DIA circle would disappear within the thickness of the Donut, leaving no gap between them both. How could this be drawn,
How to keep the snap mode settings from disappearing after certain commands. For example every time I use a lisp routine I have to go and reset my settings because they are no longer the way I had them set before I performed the lisp command.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to adjust the settings in pan, zoom, and orbit. I've been using these commands with my mouse button and wheel. These 3 commands are not behaving properly. Whenever I make a small scroll on my mouse, the view port zooms all the way until I cannot see anything, which is very unlikely. The same goes when I use Orbit, a small movement/click in my mouse, makes a very big difference in a view port.
But everything goes well whenever I start new drawing.

I work with a land surveying package. I use both AutoCAD 2006 and R14. When I export a cad dwg from the survey software and open it in R14 my drawing units are as I want them E.G Direction Control = North = 270 and should be set to clockwise. If I open the same exported drawing but in 2006 the settings change. If I create a new drawing in 2006, the settings are as I want them.
I have been working with ADT 2012 for a month now, and I am missing the way that my crosshairs used to snap to a grid, even if a command is NOT active. If I am zoomed in close, I used to be able to have my pickbox/crosshairs snap to the 1" grid that I have set up. However, that I only works if I have a command like "LINE". What setting do I need to change to make this work the way it has for YEARS?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have ACA2011. I received a Topo from someone an it's grade lines are Proxy Entities. I need to snap to one and can't. Is there a way to snap to these? I just want to move the topo to the right Z height, but need to snap to at least one grade line to do so.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Autocad Architecture 2013. When I type in "units" and hit enter, two Chinese characters show up in the command line. If I continue to hit enter, it allows me to change some values but a dialogue box never displays.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to ACA 2011 in plan view I am unable to snap to the edges of walls. Toggling the osnap setting check box to allow object snap to act on wall justification lines seems to have no effect as it always snaps only to the justification line and to nothing else. This is extremely annoying and makes it impossible to dimension to the face of a wall that is center justified. Is this a bug or am I missing some new setting somewhere? All my layers are unfrozen including layer 0.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen using the 'space generate' option when inserting a space, the tool automatically turns off 'object snap' and then of course it doesn't turn it back on at the end of the operation. I tend to need to switch back and forth from auto generate to polygonal insertion and having to reset object snap every time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed autocad architecture 2012. when i opened it to start creating a new drawing/project the unit of measurement was in Millimeters.. i needed the Unit of measurement to be in architectural units, so i used the units command to change it to architectural units. the problem i am having now is that i think the Grid Scale is still in MM. when i tried to draw a line on the grid the line appeared to be tiny. the length of the line was 36'-5". i adjusted the scale to 1/4"=1' but that didnt change anything. in order to see the line that i drew i have to zoom in so much..
How do i adjust the grid scale to be the same as the units?
how to adjust the display level on doors.
I have attached a PDF of my problem.
In the sketch is a simple room with 3 types of doors.
A Single door which displays properly
An overhead door which has a sq box attached to it and
A Double door which has all sorts of lines/boxes displayed on it
Ho do I get the doors to appear normal in plan view.
One of the CAD engineer in my office is facing with a new problem. Until two days back she was able to use the "mid between two points" object snap. But recently it dissappeared from the shift+right click short cut menu. method to bring it back to the shortcut menu?

In every other Adobe program you can control the "ratio" of the small caps function by percentage. (The small cap is 80% of the large cap, etc)
I'm not seeing where I can adjust this vital setting in Photoshop, any version.
I have an inactive snap shortcut menu. When clicking shift + right mouse button the menu appears but when I typet
"E" for "ENDpoint", "M" for "Midpoint" or when I just click over the respective icons in the menu nothing really happens and I get the following message in the command bar:
"Command: _endp Unknown command "ENDP". Press F1 for help."
or
"Command: _mid Unknown command "MID". Press F1 for help."
I tried following, none of which worked:
1. resetting the main customization file ACA_Global.cuix
2. switching between different profiles and cuix files
3. reinstalling Autocad Architecture 2013
4. uninstalling and Installing Autocad Architecture 2013 service pack 1
5. installing older versions of Autocad (2008 and Architecture 2012)
6. reinstalling Windows 7 and installing Autocad Architecture 2013 again
I've tried everything I can to adjust my mouse's scroll wheel to pan as opposed to zoom and I just can't seem to get it.Is that an option they got rid of?

My accelerator keys for the right-click object-snap cursor menu do not work. For example, I will be drawing a line and I will bring up the object-snap menu, then I will select ‘E’ for endpoint snap, the ‘e’ will display in the dynamic input window and the snap does not work.
I'm looking for an option to adjust the grid size and to snap-to-grid.
For some purposes, you can find a way around this, but it is a pain when working on a project that requires perfect precision.
The topic has been brought up before, but I'm hoping to hear of any news on the possibility of implementing it. I don't assume there has been made any plugins to cater this need since earlier posts on the matter, so I'm hoping to persuade developers to implement the feature in a new version of paint.net instead.
If you need to know more specifically what I'm looking for, then it's basically what you have in Adobe Illustrator or any decent 3D modelling software you will ever come across. It would work pretty much exactly like the grid already in place, except you would not be limited to working only with individual pixels, but rather groups of pixels as you zoom further out. The grid would preferably have thicker lines every 5, 10 or 15 lines, etc. for user to position the various elements.
Is it possible to change the settings of red files that exists in a sequence?
I've tried altering the red import settings of a sequence that contained the same clip cut up and a sequence that contained red files and non-red files, but the change seem to only work on the original clips.
Is it possible to adjust the settings for the Color Fade Vertical, or Horizontal, or Center...i.e. position of the color transition zone, width of the zone, etc?
PSE 11, Expert Mode
I am trying to get renovation mode to work properly. When i use it it seems to change item that existing to a new layer on color 8 (I specified color 8), but not to by layer. I want to be able to assign an item and have the color be set to by layer instead of a forced color.
It also changes everything in the drawing. Say i have multiple objects on layer A-Wall, it changes all those objects instead of just the one i select.

how I can move a user from one computer to another and have them keep all of their settings in AutoCAD Architecture 2013.
We are upgrading user laptops. I have used the Windows 7 Easy File Transfer utility on the first couple, but it does not appear to copy the users AutoCAD settings. When they open AutoCAD for the first time on the new computer, they have to set up all of their toolbars, etc again.
I have even tried copy and paste of theWin 7 AppData Local, LocalLow and Roaming folders ... but even that does not tranfer over the toolbars, menus, etc...
make it so that when a user logs into the new computer and opens AutoCAD, it is exactly as it was on the old computer?
I have my workspace saved, but everytime I open AutoCAD Architecture, all my tool bars are messed up again. What is going on? How can I get it to standarized my work environment?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe recently had a draftsman that drew with snap on (he no longer works here), and now all the drawings he worked on have this setting turned on. I thought it would be as simple as opening up the drawings and either hitting F9 or clicking on the toggle to turn off snap. That doesn't seem to be the case. Snap mode seems to be tied to individual sheets, and every viewport. I have multiple sheets in a drawing and each sheet has multiple viewports. The last thing I want to do is open every drawing, click in every viewport on every sheet to turn off snap.
I have snapmode set to 0, but it will only turn it of in whatever sheet or viewport is active. I have to write a lisp routine that will go through every viewport on every sheet to set snapmode to 0?
