I´m having problem with annotative multileaders. They work fine while I don't move the lead point. Once I change it, the annotative scale works just on the scale that I use to transform it. In any other scale, it returns to its original position.
View 3 RepliesI am having issues with an Annotative Multileader skewing at different scales. It was inserted at 3/16" (1st Image) scale and when I add a 1/4" (2nd Image) scale it becomes skewed at that scale (3rd Image the leader is highlighted to show what it looks like).

My company has a template setup with an elevation callout for curb and gutter. The callout displays a box around two elevations (TC and G). The TC and G Labels after the elevations only show up in paper space on a 1"=1' scale, which is how the referenced block was set up. I need the labels to show up in 1:20 and/or 1:40 scale in paper space but only the elevations appear. I edited and saved the referenced block but the changes don't appear to have taken to the template.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to using annotative objects, and I am having a lot of trouble with blocks and annotative multileaders.
I made a custom block (_ValveCallout) to be used in an annotative multileader, which was working perfectly, until I needed to edit the block I was using in the multileader. After I redefined the block, the attributes in the block seem to be displayed at the wrong scale, and the border around them isn't even showing at all. I have to redraw every multileader if I have to make a change to the block.
I am running Autocad arch 2011 (as Autocad 2011) and a co worker is using Autocad electrical 2012 and when he works in a drawing of mine the every annotative scale that is used in the file is attached to every annotative object. Which means I have to go through every object and delete scales that should be be there....all my annotative objects appear in every view port because every annotative object has every scale..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI created annotative multileader, but later on by unknown reason only two shown on my drawing, others are disappear in both module and paper space, the layer didn't change, the scale didn't change. When I click one and right-click select similar and make copy or move, everything display again, after click anywhere on the screen, nothing was copied and gone again, spent long time to try to figure out but still couldn't find solution.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMultileader Style that is Annotative, and once it gets drag/dropped on a Tool Palette, the Annotative aspect of the style no longer is enabled when it's activated through the Tool Palette on a fresh drawing? I've looked through all the System Variables related to the Annotative family (that I can think of) and still I'm not seeing the results that I want.
I can insert these into our Client Specific Template for our internal stuff, but we kick off new jobs all the time by producing a quick "test fit" for our client.
These Tool Palettes are networked on an enterprise level so it would be a real bummer if we can't get it to work.
I noticed that some multileader move when editing and some do not. This is very frustrating. Usually this seems to happened when annotative scale is on. I tried to avoid this happening by turning off annotative scale and this does not work. Instead I go to another file to find the other multileader text that doesn't move when I edit. I tried to find what causing this shift in the properties menu but can't see the difference between the two.
How to stop the multileader shifting!? Is this a bug?
I have a dwg template that has a Multileader Style that uses Annotative text. When I changed a viewport to a different scale....from 1"=1' to 3/4" =1', the text is not appearing to scale. It's very large. The Mtext changed to the correct scale but not the Multileader text. Where do I need to make a change?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn 2010, when you did a multileader, on the landing you had an arrow grip on both ends and then the box grip in the middle.. Now in 2012 they have the landing set to where there is an arrow grip at one end closest to the text and the box grip at the other end....
Is there any way to set the multileader grips on the landing in 2012 the way they were set up in 2010?
When using grips to move a multileader source block with the attachment defined as insertion point (the insertion point being the center of the source block) the grip point moves off of the block if the move is to the left of the multileaders end point. When the drawing is reopened the blocks move from where they were placed to the off insertion point grips. A screen shots jpg and a drawing file are attached

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I insert Annotative blocks and change the scale drawing (E.g. 1:100 to 1:200), attributes of Annotative blocks move to anywhere. I tried already ANNORESET and ATTSYNC, and it solved at that moment. But when I close and open the file, the problem appears again. I have to apply ANNORESET and ATTSYNC every moment. How can I definitely solve this problem?

For exemple, I shifted this tree a little bit to the left. I have a multileader pointing to the middle of it to indicate the tree species. When selecting the multileader, I can use the little blue square to move the tip of the small arrow but how can I move the other one ?
Since that multileader is pointing to other trees as well, I cannot move the whole thing.
I guess I could go to the paper space and into a viewport using that scale, but I need to do that quite often and I'm sure there should be an easier way.
I know it is a simple thing but for the life of me I cannot make it work. I must of hit a button and messed it up.
Annotative dims and text. I have multiple view ports ranging from 1/8 to 1-1/2 inch scale in one paper space. I have noted items (in model) and need them to appear in the different scaled VP's. However, too much is showing up. All scales in all vp's are active, not just the scale of the vp.
When I want to establish a new annotative text style, and I'm in the Text Styles dialog box, in the "Size" box, why will it not let me enter a Paper Text Height of 3/32"??? Every time I try it defaults to either 1/16" or 1/8". I have checked the Annotative box.

Is it a setting somewhere or is it a problem with the install? I don't remember if it ever worked correctly or stopped working at some point in my learning process on ACA 2011 over the last 6 mos.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have created a block in the model tab with the annotative scale set at 1'-0" = 1'-0" with the UCS set to World. When the block is inserted in model space either on the model tab or thru viewport it displays and prints correctly. However when the same block is inserted into paperspace on a layout tab the block appears correctly but when printed either hardcopy or PDF it is rotated 90 degress around its insertion. This malfunctions the same whether it is inserted directly or nested in a legend block.
It is also not one particular block or drawing but (mal)functions across drawings and block definitions.
I really don't want to have to make two sets of blocks for the project.
I seem to be running into a wall here, I have created an annotative dimension and copied it to the tool palette. When I go to dimension something in a new dwg that does not have the new annotation style, the dimension style does not keep its annotation setting. It brings in the annotation style but not the annotation setting.

This is a massive issue that makes this great feature virtually worthless.
If the text is going to rotate in multiple viewports you need it to stay in the same place!
Unfortunately, a new project we have does not allow us to use annotative objects, so we are back to switching scale by creating several dimstyles with a varying dimscale (eg. Dim96, for 1/8", Dim48 for 1/4" etc.) Now I have created a button on the tool palette that brings in text and it allows me to set the size of the arrow by matching it to the dimstyle, but the text comes in always at the same size - 9" which is 3/32" for a 1/8" plan. The arrow changes but the text does not. I know I have to change the CANNOSCALE, but I can't seem to figure out a way of making it work so that the user will only need to switch the dimstyle from the pull down up at the top right and then be able to use a tool palette button that will bring in a text with leader with it's arrow head and text height matching the dimstyle scale.

Is it possible to create the Annotative Text styles in an xref and amend these on a titlesheet when said xref has been imported?
I've checked the "Help" section of AutoCad but it all seems to relate to creating Annotative Styles within a single drawing.
I am running ACA 2011 X64.I have some leaders that I copied from one drawing into another drawing.
When copied the leaders do not display their attributes. I cannot seem to figure out how to do it. I have made sure they are both in the same annotative scale and that both have the current scales loaded.
I've modelled part of a ship's deck, it consists of rather simple geometrich shapes(Plates, knee brackets and profiles).
However, when i model the assembly and do some negative extrusions in order to get the model how i want it, it leads to a face failure during mesh generation.
How do I make annotative tags, callouts, and blocks non-annotative. AutoCad will not let me change them in the properties tab.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a co-worker who needs to create a block where the attributes scale with the anno scale, but the block container does not. He's creating a tree block and wants the canopy and trunk attributes to scale without scaling the tree symbol.
Making an attribute annotative and applying the scales to the attributes doesn't seem to work if the block itself isn't annotative.
Are we missing something, or is this just not possible?
