AutoCAD 2013 :: Place Tool (with Its Icon) At The Status Bar?

(That is, at the status bottom bar)

May 16, 2013I finally managed to capture this phenomenon.... It happens every day, several times a day, but I was never able to capture it until now. Seems to occur when you open and close various palettes, but it's not reproducible on demand.

Sep 18, 2008Last night while watching the progress of the status bar I glanced down and saw there is also one in Photoshop icon on the Dock. I had never noticed it before.
Nothing earth shattering here but it's funny how you can walk down your street for years and then one day notice something. And you scratch your head and say "Has this always been here?

Jun 20, 2013I've just downloaded AutoCAD 2014 Student Version, and I can't seem to make my status bar on the bottom work. It's pretty annoying, as I couldn't manage to find the solution yet, did the access path to it changed compared to previous versions?
It's just blank grey (where OSNAP, DUCS, and other fun stuff's icons should be).

Feb 6, 2013In Elements 7 there are Transion Icons bwtween clips even when a clip is split.
It is possible to place photos etc between clips by dragging to icon.
This is is Sceneview & I take it that Quick in Elements 7 is similar.
There are no such icons in Elements 11 and all atempts to get photos places these at end and then these have to be moved.

Mar 2, 2013I am experiencing two problems. One is the tool icons in Photoshop are disappearing on the screen. I move the cursor and see nothing on my screen.
The second problem is at other times the proper tool icon and function is not showing up and working. I select for example the pen tool and the hand tool icon show up and the function works as the hand tool not the pen tool?

Sep 27, 2013A co-worker has been having issues with the ucs icon location. In a front view of his model the UCS icon appears where expected. when shifted to a top view the icon shifts over to the right from the location it was at in the front view? What is causing it?

Feb 12, 2013I am running AutoCAD 2013. My issue is that the top row of icons (New, Open, Save, etc. and all of the Autodesk 360 info) have become nearly invisible. If I hover the cursor over the icon it tells me what it is and I know I am clicking in the correct area. I think it was some sort of background transparency issue, but can't remember where to reset that to opaque.

Jun 18, 2013One of our clients would like different file icons for the .DWG and .DXF files. I have tried numerous ways of changing them (even went as far as extracting the icons from the "acadficn.dll" file where they are originally drawn from.
If I change the file icon for one file extension, then the other changes automatically.I would love to get some pointers.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Image Tool Icon Grayed Out In IDW?

My Image tool icon is grayed out in Insert Panel of the IDW.
I created a sketch in the IDW & have no way to insert a graphic.I checked multiple files including a new file forma template & cannot get the Image icon to work, it's always grayed out.
Is there an option setting I need to change?
We really should have the ability to cut & paste into IDW's.

As an example, for basic copy command, I would normally select my object to copy, type C, hit the space bar, and select my object again to copy to new location. With this override, I select my object, type C, hit the space bar, and in the command line, this appears:
Command: c COPY 1 found
Current Settings: Copy mode = Multiple
Specify base point or [Displacement/mOde] : c

Nov 18, 2013In AutoCAD 2010, the UCS Icon settings dialogue window has a 'Cone' setting for displaying coned arrows at the end point of each axis. This 'cone' setting has been removed from 2011-2014. What logical reason why this was removed and is it possible there is a hidden setting to bring it back in 2014?

Jul 12, 2013I thought there was a setting for this? I want to adjust the Osnaps so they appear further away from the point. IE: As I want to pick the quadrant I have to get so close to the quadrant before the osnap shows. I can't remember the variable to adjust this distance.

Oct 16, 2012Every time I open ACA 2013, my toolbars that I have loaded turn off. Well currently only the layers toolbar remains, my custom toolbar and the properties toolbar turn off every time I open ACA with the icon or the exe file itself. If I open a drawing file the toolbars seem to remain. I also just installed the service pack, no change.

Sep 18, 2013In ACA 2011 I have the project browser icon. This is easy to find and use in the 2011 quick access toolbar.
When I open the "Customize user interface" I find and select "Project Browser", then I see under the properties of the command I only see "Display" and "Advanced" nothing else is listed. This command is quite odd compared to other commands.
However, in ACA 2013 this icon is completely missing, I cannot find it in the quick access toolbar, when I search in the "Customize user interface" command list, I cannot find "Project Browser" in the search field of the command list.
How do I find the command for project browser so that I can drag it / steal it from another .cuix file?
Bonus Question: How do I stop the sheet set manager from always showing up? I use the sheets tab of the project navigator all the time.

Jan 22, 2013I am so frustrated about one thing that has been changed in the newest version (2013)
Before, in PL command, 2D, I could point my marker at one snap point on a line for example, then I drag my marker to one direction towards where I want the Polyline to start. I write in an number (ex. 1000 mm) for the distance from the snap point, and ENTER it. The polyline starts now 1000 mm from the snap point I chose.
NOWADAYS it attaches in an RANDOM, and for me, inappropriate place on the current drawing when I ENTER the distance
Is it some settings I have to change to get this as it was in the 2012 version?
AutoCAD 2013 :: Visual Error - Lines Streaking From UCS Icon And 2D Objects
May 1, 2013This has been occuring since installing 2013 and it's not just on my computer, our other drafter has the same issue. Once it happens on one drawing it effects all open drawings and the only thing I have been able to do to get rid of it is to close out all drawings and restart AutoCAD. Attached is a screen shot since its' hard to describe.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Setup Title-block For Everyone At New Place Of Business
Feb 11, 2013I'm trying to setup a title-block for everyone at my new place of business.
In this new job, 98% of our drawings are done in a single file with multiple layouts. I would like to set my template up so that things like Rev numbers and drawn by, and checked by etc., are updated in all layouts by changing just the first sheet. I also want to include a field for the drawn date so that it takes the current date (they want the drawn date to reflect the print date rather than the actual drawn date...)
I would like to incorporate attributes for things like checked by, engineer check, and such but make them so they don't appear unless you open the attribute editor.

Sep 6, 2013When I edit a block in place, REFEDIT toolbar pops up. This is good.
But why even I clicked "Add to working set" button on the toolbar, it still asks me select "Add" in command line?
Apparently I already selected "Add" button.
Is there a way to skip this command line option?
