AutoCAD 2013 :: Error Message When Publishing?
Feb 1, 2013I'm using AutoCAD 2013 and I get a fatal error when it pulls up a print preview. If I have "Publish in Backgound" selected it proceeds to print. The error only appears to exisit when it pulling up the print preview. I have installed sp 1.1. I've repaired and reinstalled also. My AutoCAD 2012 is publishing fine.

Mar 30, 2009If I open a drawing created in 2009 and try to publish it in 2010, DSD file message pops saying about unsaved changes (see attached). Since I don't use sheet sets, I do not have any use for DSD file. Is there a way to disable it?
In 2009 it was simple not to include model tab while publishing. Where is this option in 2010? I don't want to remove model tab from the list every time I publish drawings.
AutoCAD LT :: Cannot Overwrite PDF When Publishing In 2013
Feb 6, 2013We seem to be unable to overwrite a PDF that we created with AutoCAD when PDFing anew with AutoCAD. In other words, I "Plot" a file in AutoCAD and PDF it as "New File A". When I later realize I made a drafting mistake and want to overwrite it, when I "Plot" it says the file is in use or write protected or something of that nature so I have to PDF it as "New File B" and then manually delete "New File A" and then rename "New File B". I might add I do not have to close AutoCAD to do this.

Dec 4, 2012I have no problems publishing to one file from multiple tabs, or plotting to multiple single files named after each tab. I want to batch plot to a single file with bookmarks named after each tab in my AutoCad file. I would think that it would name each bookmark "Filename-TabName" as it goes down the batch plotting (publishing) list. Right now, I print to individual files and combine. This creates bookmarks for each filename like I want, but I have to name my tabs in order, or re-order everything each time which is time consuming.
Is there a setting to create bookmarks as you print to a single file that are named after each tab? This would be cool and very useful. I cannot imagine that I am the only one who wants this.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Publishing Multiple Drawings To PDF
Jan 28, 2013I've started having a problem with the Publish command when publishing multiple drawings to PDF.
When I plot a drawing using the plot command, I don't have a problem.
When I publish one drawing using the Publish command it is also fine.
It is only when I try to publish multiple files that the problem occurs- the PDFs are produced, but the it is as if the drawing contents (paper space) has been shifted up by 10mm or so, cutting off the top of the drawing, and creating a larger margin at the bottom of the drawing. I use exactly the same page setup as for the single drawing plot.
There seems to be no setting that would change this, and the fact that publishing a single drawing works suggests that there is some kind of bug. At the moment i have to plot every drawing individually (or get my colleague to do it- it works fine on his machine, same page setup file!)

Nov 19, 2013I did a Factory layout which I would want to incooperate as an asset.
Can this be done by converting the layout to a ordinary iam?
I can make use of editors, change the data header ect... Is this possible?

AutoCAD 2013 :: Publishing To PDF Is Created Layered PDFs Even Settings Are Off?
Oct 24, 2012I have been ateempting to use the DWG to PDF.pc3 to batch convert a bunch of drawings to PDF. Everything appears to work well but I keep getting layers in my PDF's which I do not want as the slow down printing. I have turned off "include layer information" in the pc3 custom settings and I have also set "Don't include" in the publish options.
I am obvisouly missing something somewhere as I continue to get PDF's with layers.

Apr 1, 2013For the past couple of weeks I have been getting a message that autocad cannot save dwg because it is being accessed by another session. This doesn't happen everytime I try to save, and it happens in differant files. After hitting save 4 or 5 times it will usually let me save the dwg. but then I have to go into the folder and clean out all the temp files. I know that none of the other users in my office have the dwg open when this happens so I'm at a loss as to whats causing it.

Aug 4, 2013I have been working on a drawing that was originally created from an AutoCAD 2004 version, and I have since been working on it in AutoCAD 2013 student version. The drawing from autoCAD 2004 was of plans for a house and i saved them over to model them in autoCAD 2013.
I have since finished the model and tried to import the drawing into 3Ds max 3013 cersion and a message reading "ObjectDBX Classes" appears. I have read up about this and tried to download an AutoCAD 2004 ObjectDBX Classes Object enabler. I am unable to download this as I do not have a copy of AutoCAD 2004, this is only available at my work.
I only have AutoCAD 2013 and 3Ds max 2013 on my home computer, not at my work.

Apr 15, 2013is there a way to suppress the "missing shape file"-message.
I believe there was a checkbox to check this every time you open a drawing. I must have checked it, and now autocad always asks for it.
AutoCAD LT :: 2013 - Unable To Save To Drawing Message
Aug 16, 2012Several times, with different files, I get a message when I try to save a drawing using ctrl-S (or when clsoing an un-saved dwg);
Unable to save to drawing B: (file location folder)file name.
Drawing saved to B: (same file location folder)savD214.tmp
The only option is to click OK
Now there are several .tmp files in my job folder. I haven't tried to open them or anything else.
The original file will be lost if I close the drawing. I've had this happen when I clsoe the drawing before saving it - I'll get a message asking if I want to save the draiwng before closing it, and then I'll get this message, click OK, and the file will be gone. I have to to the .bak file, make a copy of it and change the file extension name to .dwg to get the file back.
If I get this message when I'm just doing a ctrl-S save, I immediately do a "save-as", copy over the original file name, and everything seems to be fine.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Recover Unnamed / Unsaved Drawing?
Dec 1, 2011I had started a new drawing on our template and worked on it for an hour or so. I had not saved it or anything so it was simply titled "Drawing2.dwg." Well, during a simple text command AutoCAD decided to crash. It said it could try to recover the drawing, but when I looked around for it I couldn't find it anywhere.
I've had this happen before...is there ANYTHING that can be done or did I just lose all my work?
AutoCad :: Project Keeps Reverting To Unsaved Layer State?
Apr 6, 2013i have a little layering system i set up. in my drawing, in modelspace (or on any of my sheets), there's a little drop-down box that saves 'unsaved layer state'. if i click on it, i can find my 'personal layer state', select it, and all my layers pop up. but then if i switch tabs for a second, it goes right back to 'unsaved layer state'. how do i keep this on my own personal one?!

I already converted all blocks to AutoCAD with Exploded AEC Objects, but the message persists.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Error Message - Unrecognized Version And Cannot Be Read
Jul 26, 2012I've started getting this random errror message today when doing random commands, such as switching from model space to my layouts and vice versa, or the undo command, "unrecognized version and cannot be read" and then it gives me the Ok/Cancel option. I hit OK, then says "is not recognized syntax, select OK to ignore or Cancel to abort" And I hit ok, and the command is carried out, but slowly.
I've looked this error up and it seems to have been around since 2000. It looks like it has something to do with print files and scripts, but we haven't added or changed any in years. Although I have been having printer issues. Yesterday this started and it's still happening - when I press the print button, no matter what printer is set to, it would take 2 minutes to see the dialog box, 2 minutes for just a preview, then 2 minutes or more to start printing. It doesn't sound like a long time, but it adds up! And it's still doing that on CAD alone... printing is quick in other programs.
I'm on AutoCAD 2013, Windows 7, 64 bit OS.

Apr 15, 2013We use scripts a fair bit in acadLT & from the Desktop icon. The 2014 behavior has changed in that it displays a warning (screengrab attached) before allowing the script to load.
This is going to be a pain for users. I can't see a way to add a folder as a trusted source in LT.

AutoCAD 2013 :: DWG Loads To 75% Then Hangs - Causes Message / Memory Low / Loss Of Work
Feb 8, 2013I was placing final touches on paper space viewports (changing transparency settings etc), after wrapping that up, saved. Then tried to Publish. That's where things went downhill, drawing/publishing froze, forced to restart, now the drawing only loads to ~68 - 75% and hangs / freezes. Eventually, I get a message box stating that AutoCAD physical memory low, continuing will result in data loss. Task Manager claims AutoCAD is running @ ~98% (650Mb).
I can upload the drawing to AutoCAD WS and open it on my iPhone/iPad, but the 3D viewports are limited in detail.
Tried opening on a MAC and the same thing happens.
Tried clearing the Cachemax/cachemaxtotal, still nothing...

1.While opening any file an alert message is appearing on the screen, for closing the same I Have to use ( X) close many times.
2 After opening the file every time I have to set the AUTOcad default setting once again, it is taking too much time,

Dec 21, 2013I'm very unfamiliar with any but the most basic stuff in Library and Develop. I've attempted to create a slide show, decided I wanted to change it and start over but it seems the unsaved slideshow is still hanging about.
I don't see how to get rid of it, I continue to see an 'Unsaved slide show' written near the top left/center of slideshow screen.I want to just ditch that attempt and start over.

May 19, 2012CS6 Thinks It Has an Unsaved Document Open But it doesn't. Yesterday I did some testing that resulted in a Photoshop crash that was likely due to a bad font. I restarted Photoshop several times after that and did some testing, then just left Photoshop minimized all night.
Today I went to close Photoshop and got an indication that it thinks a PSB document is open, with the same name as the PSD file I was testing with yesterday when Ps crashed.
I assume this may be somehow related to the AutoSave feature, but the file never opened upon restarting Photoshop.
Photoshop :: Creating Animated GIF From Unsaved File
Sep 16, 2013I used to be able to create animated gif's easily from unsaved files. I would simply select all the layers I wanted to use and process them.
After upgrading to CS6, I'm totally lost. I've followed half a dozen tutorials, but nothing works. The only way I can even load a frame into the Windows Timeline feature is to first save several images from my unsaved file, then reload them by choosing File > Scripts > Load Files into Stacks. But even then I can't find a Make Frames from Layers option when I click the down arrow on the right side of the palette.
Is there a simple way to create animated gif's from layers in an unsaved file on CS6, or do I need to reinstall my older Photoshop version in order to created animations?
Photoshop :: Where Open Unsaved Files Stored

OS X 10.5.8Photoshop CS4
After completing a many-hours-long automated process (Contact Sheet II), Photoshop decided to error out on me as soon as it finished. It has a pop up that says:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error."
It appears that I will need to force-close the application. What's frustrating is that the 102 files it generated are sitting right behind that error, but I can't get it to go away--it just pops back up when I click OK. I really don't want to lock up this computer for another day when the files are right there!
If I could only find the temporary files on my computer I'd quarantine and recover them on my own. I am a little surprised that no one seems to have asked this on Google (or maybe I just can't find it).

the process which I followed ---
1-) Created an empty Artset and filled it with layer contents.
2-) Then Rasterize the Artset.
3-) Then created a data filter containing the path where to export.
4) Then used AsJPEG( ) to create jpeg.
