View 4 RepliesUnfortunately I only own Photoshop Elements - although my college uses the latest Cs2 (MAC).
I have worked at home (Windows XP) on my Elements (it does the job well). Now, what I was wondering is if there was any way of being able to open my Elements file with the CS2 version? Or have I wasted my time?
I have no idea ......... It is important that the tutor is able to view the original file, so that they can see the layers etc.
I have tried sending the file via email, but there is no chance of attatching this file. But if I am certain that the file will open in college, then I could burn the file to disc?
Let me know whether Adobe Photoshop CS6 of version 13 is compatible on Windows 7 64bit Operating System? In case if it is not compatible on Windows 7 64bit OS,then will there be any free upgrade provided by Adobe.
If not then what would be alternative product to be installed and the License cost details per head. Also please provide the URL or location from which the licensed product can be downloaded as well as the installation documentation.
I have the 2013 AutoCAD Student Version and I want to transfer my file to the AutoCAD 30-Day Proffessional version, Can I do this by easily Copying and Pasting the drawing from version to version?

It was working fine on 8 but crashes on the loading screen now Ive upgraded to 8.1. Upgrading to 2014 is not an option for me as my professor uses 2013 software and he will not be able to open 2014 files.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm trying to do an assignment with Autodesk Inventor. We use Autodesk Inventor pro 2012. For some unknown reason EVERY time i download inventor 2012 pro the installation fails due to a corrupt file. So i thought (In desperation) i would downlaod the 2013 version and see if it would install. Lucky enough it all installed correctly. So i continue with my work on the 2013 edition, and when i go to save it it tells me, that i will not be able to use this file on previous versions. (Which i need to do). Is there by any chance a way to save files, that are compatible with older versins (Like in Word) ?

Explains what the strike through text style is but not how to add it to my Text Editor ribbon. My understanding is that it should be a button in the Formatting Pallet under the Underline button, mine just shows Background Mask there. When I expand the formatting pallet I don't show a strikethrough option there either.
How can I check with which autocad version a drawing is saved?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI changed the configuration in Tools/Options/Open and Save/File Save, to save as Autocad2004/LT2004 Drawing (*.dwg). But sometimes automatically the program saves as Autocad2013. It is critical for me because I work with people that still use Autocad2004.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have drawings (some with more than one sheet) from inventor 10. Now I like to open it in inventor 2013. The first sheet is showing, but I can't open the other sheets. I can print them, but I can see a listing of it or go to the sheet.
FYI, until December 2012 I worked in Inventor 10, now I have inventor 2013, so everything is new to me.
I've started getting this random errror message today when doing random commands, such as switching from model space to my layouts and vice versa, or the undo command, "unrecognized version and cannot be read" and then it gives me the Ok/Cancel option. I hit OK, then says "is not recognized syntax, select OK to ignore or Cancel to abort" And I hit ok, and the command is carried out, but slowly.
I've looked this error up and it seems to have been around since 2000. It looks like it has something to do with print files and scripts, but we haven't added or changed any in years. Although I have been having printer issues. Yesterday this started and it's still happening - when I press the print button, no matter what printer is set to, it would take 2 minutes to see the dialog box, 2 minutes for just a preview, then 2 minutes or more to start printing. It doesn't sound like a long time, but it adds up! And it's still doing that on CAD alone... printing is quick in other programs.
I'm on AutoCAD 2013, Windows 7, 64 bit OS.
I have installed the student version of Autocad 2013. My professor has asked me to convert my dwg files into 2010 format, as she is unable to open them. When I attempted to do so, Autocad informed me that I cannot convert files with the student version. Is there anything I can to to fix this? Or, can she somehow convert them on her end?
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change the saved version when running a titleblock update?
Even though my save preference is set 2010, anything saved during a titleblock update is in 2013.
Noticed this in 2013 & 2014
My AutoCAD 2013 crashed and as a result the recovered file was saved in 2013 format, instead of my automatic save profile option version set to AutoCAD 2000.
As we have other users in the office without AutoCAD 2013, how do i change the default crash save to a newer version (ie. AutoCAD 2000)?
I've just downloaded AutoCAD 2014 Student Version, and I can't seem to make my status bar on the bottom work. It's pretty annoying, as I couldn't manage to find the solution yet, did the access path to it changed compared to previous versions?
It's just blank grey (where OSNAP, DUCS, and other fun stuff's icons should be).
I am using the Autocad 2013 educational version. I have a drawing with a .ctb file. When i print, it is printing with the lines in colour. I would like the lines to print in black or grey. I assume I need to change the plotstyle to a monochrome.ctb plot style, but cannot work out how to change the plot style.
Is the plot style changed in the model or paper space of the drawing, or in the print menu?
- I have looked extensively under File/ print and can find nowhere to change a plot style.
- under File/ plot styles I can select from a list of .ctb files - but it only allows me to edit them - not apply them to the drawing.
- In the drawing under the properties inspector i can see a plot style menu and it is currently showing the option ' bycolour' when I click on the pull down options menu, there are no other options. There is also a 'plot table type; but it says this is ' not available'
-When i type plot styles in the drawing it brings up a bring s up an edit plotstyle table window, and this has a pull down menu that displays arrange of plot styles , but when I select one it only allows me to edit the plot style table and save and close. It does not actually apply it to the drawing.
I am doing a placement at company and they asked me to edit a drawing but i don't know how to convert or import the file.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCopied the printer configuration (pc3 and pmp) from AutoCAD 2013 to AutoCAD 2012. Plot the same drawing with that same printer configuration. The plot setting are exactly the same in both versions.
Since version 2013 we got problems with how colours appear in the drawings.
They turn very dark. See the attached files.
It's important to us that white really shows as white.
