I have drawings (some with more than one sheet) from inventor 10. Now I like to open it in inventor 2013. The first sheet is showing, but I can't open the other sheets. I can print them, but I can see a listing of it or go to the sheet.
FYI, until December 2012 I worked in Inventor 10, now I have inventor 2013, so everything is new to me.
I just want to know how will I open a drawing file if its saved on an older version and I am using a latest version of autocad.

1: I currently am using AutoCAD 2011 is there any option to back save drawings to 2008? I do not seem to have this choice.Only 2010 or 2007 or 2004.
2: If I upgrade to 2014 or 2013 will I have the option to back save to 2008?
When I updated lightroom to 5.3 I did not update all the catalogs that were operating in 4.4 how do I update those catalogs.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use a machine called a shopbot to cut wood projects. Students draw the parts in Inventor, place them into a idw and use the save copy feature to save it as a DXF file. The shopbot uses a progam called partworks v2 and it reads DXF files. This worked great for the past few years until this summer when we installed the 2013 inventor on our computers. I contacted Shopbot and they said other people are having the same problem and the solution for most of them was to save the idw file as an older version. Last year we had AutoDesk 2011 and it worked fine. how I can save a 2013 idw as a 2011 idw?

Sketch:
Enable Heads-up Display
Edit Dimension when created
Look at sketch...on...creation
Part:
No new sketch goes to x-y plane
This may happen after when I open parts from Inventor 2011 (maybe 2010) into 2012, then create a new part. I would expect the 2012 App Options to be the master, so I don't know why a legacy part would be allowed to change those settings.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't understand why the right click - open drawing command had to be put in a submenu. Is there a way to customize the commands on these right click menus other than the marking menu? I don't really like the marking menu, and I don't want to put it there. There was nothing wrong with where it was... There are so many commands in the basic right click menu that a good majority of inventor users don't use. At least give us the ability to customize this.

I can select the .dst file, but when it "opens" I onlly have the icon in the seet set manager and nothing else, it is entirely blank.
I made a new sheet set, but now older versions of AutoCAD cannot read that one.
Converting/viewing higher version drawn .dwg files.? My version is 2011. & i had recd some higher version files that shows a message as:
I cant open or view these dwg files coz they are made from more recent versions. I had checked with autodesk.com for converter but failed?
I am currently using autocad 2002. An engineering firm has sent me a dwg file that was created using a much newer version of autocad. I asked them to save it back to version 2000, so I can open it. Well, I can open the file, but I'm getting this command "ARXERROR: eNotThatKindOfClass.. whenever I do a basic command??
Now I have gotten dwg files from other firms, and they have worked flawlessly. Would it be how this particular firm has saved the file?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am opening a file from 2004 and I am using AutoCAD Arch 2012. When I open the file everything is there, but the doors do not cut through the walls. The doors are still there but are not "anchored". Is there a way to fix this easily? I also lost everything out of my door schedule. I know I will get my schedule back when the doors get anchored back to the wall.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the Autocad 2013 educational version. I have a drawing with a .ctb file. When i print, it is printing with the lines in colour. I would like the lines to print in black or grey. I assume I need to change the plotstyle to a monochrome.ctb plot style, but cannot work out how to change the plot style.
Is the plot style changed in the model or paper space of the drawing, or in the print menu?
- I have looked extensively under File/ print and can find nowhere to change a plot style.
- under File/ plot styles I can select from a list of .ctb files - but it only allows me to edit them - not apply them to the drawing.
- In the drawing under the properties inspector i can see a plot style menu and it is currently showing the option ' bycolour' when I click on the pull down options menu, there are no other options. There is also a 'plot table type; but it says this is ' not available'
-When i type plot styles in the drawing it brings up a bring s up an edit plotstyle table window, and this has a pull down menu that displays arrange of plot styles , but when I select one it only allows me to edit the plot style table and save and close. It does not actually apply it to the drawing.
I was wondering if there is a big difference in the CS6 over the older version of 5. I was looking to upgrade, but I only see the Creative Cloud as a monthly fee. I also noticed the Creative Suite. Is CS56 available as a stand alone upgrade, or do I need to got with teh Suite or Cloud.

Apply to your technical support group".This "older version" is probably a trial version, I had before, which I had to uninstall "by hand" (cancelling files and registry items) since a regular uninstall procedure didn't work.

The Elements 5 ones were copied from my old hard disk to the new one - without using any version of Photoshop in the copying process. I believe that all the Adobe folders and files were copied, but I cannot work out which folder contains the photos.

So i uninstalled 9 and tried to put the photos in again. It sends a message that they already exist in the organizer, but they don't. Also, now when i hook up the camera it wont recognize any new photos and won't reinstall into the 11 organizer.
