Feb 15, 2013Trying to change the color of a layer in a viewport (different than the default layer color (i.e. model layer color)). Objects are set to bylayer. Changing the VP color in the layer dialog brings up the color dialog, select a different color, click OK and the VP Color DOESN"T change in the layer dialog. It stays at its previous color. Occurs on several machines.

Feb 25, 2014I'm using Lightroom 4.1.
There an option in Catalog settings called "Automatically write changes into XMP". I like it. Very much. But not for JPEG.
The reason is rewriting the original datetime of JPEG file by Lightroom. It rewrites it even if I don't make any changes in the Develop module. For example, if I simply change item's Caption in Library or item's Copyright field then Lightroom instantly changes my JPEG. I don't want such behavior. I'll try to explain why.
Sometimes datetime of the file can contain important information about when this photo or video was made. For example, some phones don't write EXIF information into the video files (e.g. 3gp). Therefore, the only place where we can see when this video was shot is the datetime of the file. If Lightroom rewrites original datetime, we will lost this info.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Adding JPEGs In 2014?
Aug 2, 2013My instructor taught us to attach images with materials rendering tool to add jpegs to our 3d modelling. Every time I try to use it, it stretches my image to nothing but horizontal lines and despite trying to modify it with the texture editor it eventually colllapses the autocad. Jun 7, 2013It used to be that I could take any ,jpg file, then save it as a .png so that I would have a transparent background in order to render the pic. Now, for whatever reason, when converted the background remains white. What setting has changed that I can no longer get a transparent background after the .png conversion? Gimp V. 2.6.8.

Mar 9, 2012Editing a video in LR4 you can capture a frame, adjust the color, and save a preset to apply to other videos. BUT the frame capture is a jpg so you can't specify a color temperature; you hve to use the slider(s) and cross your fingers. I have two consecutive videos, one shot with AWB and the other set to Shade. I need to adjust the AWB shot (very cool) to match the Shade shot (very warm). There are so many sliders, I can't even get close to matching them.

Nov 2, 2012After reading many webpages and watching many tutorial videos about which color space to use, I get odd results. I understand that sRGB is more for web applications, and that Adobe RGB 1998 has a wider gamut, and that ProPhoto has the widest gamut of colors, particularly useful with printing.
However, in LR 4, when I export to jpeg as sRGB, Adobe RGB, and ProPhoto, the differences are very noticeable. sRGB looks the most vibrant, Adobe RGB looks flat, and ProPhoto looks dark with a greenish cast. I expected ProPhoto to look best, or is that only for printing, and I have to process differently?

Dec 11, 2013I am using the Color Exchange feature in Gimp 2. I am trying to change a red background to black. The Color Exchange feature allows me to do that, however, it comes out with only part of the color changed and it all very blotchy.

Feb 25, 2011Using autoCAD 2009, having problems with my line changing to a lighter color, when I draw a line going horizontal it would be the color of the layer I put it in, when I draw a vertical line, the lines turns lighter, for example using color 31, horizontal it's the color I assigned it when vertical it turns white, red does the same thing except for when vertical it is pinkish, how do I get it back to be the same horizontal or vertical?

Jun 26, 2013I am going through an architectural background, converted over from Revit. I have to go through and routinely burst the object, then qselect, choose what is not equal to bylayer, and change to bylayer.
I don't want to burst everything, making a monster out of the file, but going into every individual block to change the colors within the block to bylayer is also extremely time consuming.
Is there an easier way? maybe a wishlist item for ACAD 2014 to include objects within blocks, when using QSE?

However I do not know the radius of the angles A, B and C. I know that all the lines have to be the dimensions marked.
Can Autocad automatically bend the angle say, at A without changing the dimensions in order to complete the polygon? I tried this URL.... but found it wasn't what I wanted.

Oct 26, 2012We need to xref a drawing with a different unit. When I go into the drawing file I want to xref and use the "-DWGUNITS" command I change it from feet to inches and use Architectural. Answer yes to all questions and certain objects disappear. Most of the objects are pline or spline objects. Here is what I see in the AutoCAD Text Window:

AutoCAD 2013 :: Changing Properties Default Values
Dec 2, 2013changing some properties default value for 2 items i have here. I want to keep the new settings inside my dwg template but i don't find any why to do it yet.I have to modify these manually or use match properties.
THE TEXT: Has the first picture, i would like to keep the setting Line Space Style: "Exactly" instead of "at least" all the time, each time i open a new autocad. How can i modify this default value? is there a way to do it ?
THE LEADER: Has the picture, in my dimension style i use 2 mm standard closed filled arrow. BUT i like to use the "dot" style sometimes but i like to use the dot at 1 mm not 2 mm.
Is there a way to set individually each type of leader tip size ? With dimension style override it's not working for now..Or maybe if i could change the default properties value for the particular dot in a configuration file?
