View 4 Replies View Relatedchanging the color of the background isn't too hard, but if you have for example a drawing (which is black on white). How can you smoothly change one of the colors to another?
For example
all black > blue
grey > light blue
light grey > lighter blue
I have about 200 pictures that have a white background that I need to change to blue. Normally I would use the wand, crop it with the pen or do a color selection. The only one that is working is the pen but it is taken way to long and was hoping someone would know on a better faster way to change the white background to blue and possibly even making it a action so it wouldn't take that long as like I said I have 200 that I need to do.

Later on, I want to have them with a Christmas background instead of the kitchen wall, so that will be my next step, but I wanted to start off with something easy to learn.
I don't want to cut out the background using the magic eraser, etc. I'd rather just change the color.
I'm trying to edit a picture of my wife from our wedding. She loves a picture that wasn't one of our formals but wants to use it as a formal picture. The problem is the background is completely different then the background of the formal pics.
I've been able to clone the formal background into most of the picture but I'm stumped with the parts that are behind her veil (which is see-through). I'm trying to go from a tannish color to a dark blue/black. Anytime I select the area and try and darken it I also darken her white veil.
I got a question about Photoshop CS. You know how when you are painting with the brush tool and then you press ALT to sample a color right? Well, it normally changes the foreground color to the color you sample, but mines just suddenly started changing the background color instead O_o. I rest tools, turn off the machine, but weeks later I find myself constantly have to switch to the background color, using (x) whenever I sample. Its a pain in the ass! How do you change it back to normal?

Using, "Color to Alpha," I tried to select the background of my .jpg image. The background is white, the picture (logo) portion is silver. Because of the closeness in color, when I select white, the software selects the entire image to become alpha (transparent).
When I select the color of the picture, silver, I am able to select just the logo portion. How can I take the logo portion, which is now converted to transparent, and give it a black or transparent background, and then return the logo back to its former color silver. The logo is perfect, it is just that I recently switched my site from a white header to a black header and the image has a white background, so that does not look good.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way in LR4.1 for me to change the background color where the top text is displayed on thumbnails in the library? Currently, mine appears to be light (or medium-ish) gray, with the first line in black and the second line in a gray that's very hard to read against the slightly lighter gray background.
I"d like to either make the second line text black (like the first line) and/or the background lighter so it's easier to read both lines.
I have taken some pictures with my camera, I cannot adjust the white balance of the camera, so the pictures come out with a slight grey background. I want to change that to a white background.

I think I need to change the cdrTextPropertyFill using cdrTextPropertySet. If you look at the Property Manager Window with Artistic Text selected go to the 5th tab (format). On the bottom is background color: with two drp downs. One for textbox background and one for character background.
I would like to be able to change these settings in a macro. I think this line is finding the text on the graphic, now I need to change the background.

Is there a way to change the layout tab name to match an attribute in the drawing? For example, I have a block in my title block named REV and an attribute in that black named RevNum, I want my users to be able to edit that block and the layout tab automatically change to match, i.e. if they modify the RevNum attribute to be A i want the layout tab name to change to A. I want this to be transparent to my users normal workflow.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need changing the line weights.I was given an AutoCAD 2009 file that already had the drawing created. In the Model space, the drawing has been created on Layer 0. Some of the other lines have a different layer - but most of it is created on Layer 0.My manager has asked me to simply make some of the lines bold and leave the rest as is.
When I turn on the LWT button at the bottom of my program, the line weight is extremely bold (shows "By Layer" for the line weight). I have gone back to each layer to select a thinner line weight and saved the drawing. However, when I go to print, the line weight defaults back to the “By Layer” line weight.
do I need to be in Layout space to make these changes permanent?
I have then created a new layer (with a new colour) and selected my preferred line weight – and changed the lines that I want to be thicker, to the new layer I created. When I go to print, I went into my printer settings and insured that the new layer I created and colour has the preferred line weight I want. However, when I preview my drawing, it has made all the other layers thicker, and the ones I want thinner.
Should I follow the previous forums and threads using the pline and pline edit?
I am looking to find a way to detemine the origin point of the paper background in the layout tab. I have a drawing border that has a tic mark in the lower left hand corner and I want to place that point at the lower left corner of the paper backgound.
