View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change the layout tab name to match an attribute in the drawing? For example, I have a block in my title block named REV and an attribute in that black named RevNum, I want my users to be able to edit that block and the layout tab automatically change to match, i.e. if they modify the RevNum attribute to be A i want the layout tab name to change to A. I want this to be transparent to my users normal workflow.

Also, I’m not sure if there are some other styles for the boundary of the lay out

Currently in AutoCAD LT 2013, was in 2000. In 2000 I had a drop down menu where I could change the background color. I used it to change the background to white before printing. In this forum I found out how to select monochrome in the print menu and haven't needed to change the background... till now.
When I print to my copier or to PDF the background is white like I wish. Then when I copy from PDF and paste to Word, the image is hazy. If I copy and paste to Paint, the background is black. The most important thing I wish to figure out is how it may be possible to transfer an image from my drawing to the manual I'm building in Word without it being hazy or black background, but I would also like to find how to change the background color.
Is there a way to change the color of the Vignette to match the page background color. It appears to that only Black is available at this time.
Is there a transparent vignette available anywhere .
I have changed this new property for some Maps but AutoCAD Map always displays the default background color that I set up in AutoCAD Options.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow I choose a color for any new objects I want to create. I've opened the toolbox with ctrl-b, which appears on the left side of the window. If I want to , for example, draw a red rectangle, I use the rectangular selection tool, then the bucket fill, and I don't see how to change the foreground color to red.
I've read elsewhere in the forum that there should be two rectangles somewhere on the screen that show foreground and background color, but I don't see them anywhere.

Everywhere I search I am told that the answer is in options>display and then change it to what ever you want. However, mac has preferences instead of options and no display tab. And in all the tabs i do have, there is no obvious alternative.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn Civil 3D 2010, the color of the paper background was a darker color and I was able to have yellow text on top of it and be able to edit the text. Now with Civil 3D 2013, the color of the paper background in paper space is white and I can't read the yellow text. I know that you can either turn the paper background on or off, but is ther a way to change its color so that it is darker?
