How do you change the gradient background color? Not as a rendering but in the normal model space.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running autocad 2013 and it has some nice hatching options, but when I go to plot them with general layers that are setup to plot in black, they print in color. I have a monochrome.ctb file i'm using and if i plot regular lines they are fine.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a gradient using the gradient tool. If you look at the image I supplied, you can see a clear line between the white background and the -what is supposed to be- white bg color of the gradient. Why is this not smoother?

I have changed this new property for some Maps but AutoCAD Map always displays the default background color that I set up in AutoCAD Options.

Drawing contains some reference numbers to others drawings that may change and would like to be able to spot them more readily by scanning for color. Do not want to mask, just a different color. Thought this would be in mtext drop down but don't see it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a mac. I am trying to change the background color in paperspace from the eye straining white to a neutral grey. Everywhere I search I am told that the answer is in options>display and then change it to what ever you want. However, mac has preferences instead of options and no display tab. And in all the tabs i do have, there is no obvious alternative.

If I were using a *.ctb file it would be obvious, but I'm doing contract work for a client and am using their *.stb file, and I don't have the option of adding another option to their *.stb file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have CS5. The bugs and broken features in AICS6, make it unusable in my workflow.
I am specifically concerned about the inability to drag global color swatches from the color panel to Gradient stops in the Gradient Panel. I use this method to update a gradient color because I find it MUCH faster than option-dragging to duplicate a stop color, then deleting the unused stop. Since I do this constantly, I find using CS6 very tedious.
I didn't notice when and why it happened, but now when i draw white line, it appears brown. I didnt change any settings, just did my usual work, when it appears. Other colors are normal. What could it be?

I'm printing to an Epson R1800 printer.
Print. Choose Color Management. Choose Document. Choose "Photoshop manages color". Choose the correct printer profile that matches the paper I'm using. Choose Relative Colorimetric.
THEN, I click Print Settings...under the 4th drop downu I choose "Print setting..." again. Under "Basic" "color" and "Color settings" are grayed out as are some of the "Media Type" options.
Is this normal? The problem is my black and white prints are printing really badly. They have color tones. I've cleaned the nozzles on my Epson printer, done everything the print utility suggests. All the test prints look fine.
I've made some customisation in the ribbon of a 2013LT version.
Now some customisation functions are only available on the Full, so I download and install it but I can't find a way to import all those custom settings grom LT to Full...
Seems it works only from LT to LT or Full to Full..
Just upgraded a user to Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium 2013 but AutoCad 2013 and AutoCad MEP 2013 are not saving settings.
On first use the crosshair is large and angled, not standard. If I run "Rest values to default" then the settings are standard until I either restart AutoCAD or open a drawing then have the same strange cross hair.
Have tried creating a new profile, setting it as default startup profile by altering the shortcut but no matter what settings are not saved and revert to strange cross hair once AutoCAD is re-opened or a drawing is opening. If logon to computer as a user without a roaming profile all works fine.
Happens every year. Upgrade and spend half a day or more trying to get everything back to the way I had it. All I have is a couple small toolbars for commands that are several clicks deep in the ribbons and I want them "right there" all the time.
I thought Autodesk 360 might be a good tool for this. All it did was DOWNLOAD some old settings and destroy one of the toolbars I'd created. They really need an override in there to specify upload, download, overwrite or don't.
I'm trying to migrate (I guess that's the technical term) my settings from 2013 Mechanical to 2014 Mechanical. It's probably too late already, after 360 did its deal, but I really want to get this down so we don't go through it every year anymore.
I maintain that PTC had this part of it down Pro/ENGINEER. You had a config file that was editable plain text.

I tried even uninstalling photoshop, deleting the settings file, resetting everything... after I re-install photoshop, it's the same thing!
