I know that when I select a group of objects and then list them, the list displays the properties in the order I drew them, is there any option I can change this order? I mean, for example the direction I select them or something like that.

I've created my subassembly and I want to control the order of parameters to have a flow similar to the actual workflow.
What to do to change the settings so you can select an item or items and then type in the command you wnat to use? This seems to have changed between Autocad 2012 and 2013 and only executes command if typed in first then itmes selected.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this heavy issue, i can't send to back a line, an object or a hatch under other lines. In 2012 i used this feature a lot but in 2013 it's not working very much, maybe 1 time out of 10 and i absolutely can't say why.
HPDRAWORDER = 1 seems to work with a new hatch.. but i can't redraw everything.
Let's say i put an entire floor plan into block then draw over it. (I don't want to start a Xref discussion please) i can't send the entire bloc to the back.I used to do that with 2012, 2008, 2007.. but it's 2013 it's not working, is there a way to correct that?
Is there any way to modify the order of the views that have been placed on the drawing sheet? We have a lot of times where we place an assembly view to drive the title block and then place the child components for detailing. Too many time the assembly view gets forgotten until you are done detailing the other parts, now instead of the assembly name showing on that sheet it is the first part you inserted. I would like to be able to select a view and tell Inventor that I would like this view to be the first view instead so I don't have to copy and past everything from one sheet to another. I used to have some code that looked at that first view but I can't find it anymore.

They appear to be in alphabetical order, which, while frustrating, I can live with if AC will allow me to easily move layers around some other way.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to make Draw Order work well. The attached file and other ones I created would not work. The goal is to have the boarder and text (color 7) always stay on top after it is created as a block and pasted to any drawing. After pasting it, the text go underneath the shade (color 155). I have used Draw Order, picked the objects in the order I would like, repeated the same steps inside the Block Editor and Edit Block In-Place, still, the block would not work. I never had this issue before - seem to have stared today. Don't know what else to do. The only thing that works is keep recreating the block till one works, which seldom works.

Is there a way to change the order of the Profile Hatch after it's been done as later solid hatches are displaying over the earlier ones?
The only way I've been able to do this is to delete all and then create in the correct order which is a bit of a PITA.

I have been continually annoyed, when creating a vector mask-heavy document, with trying to select vector mask points by dragging a rectangle only to find that it instead selects a layer higher up which has a larger vector mask.

The only workaround is to manually select the points of my mask or to drag a rectangle from outside the canvas, meaning I have to zoom out or scroll to the edge - sometimes annoying if I am zoomed in quite far.

I know that the move tool can be set to automatically select a layer, depending on what part of the image is clicked, but why is there not an option to turn this off for vector editing?
Having trouble with the display order command? It does not work when you right click or when you type in the command. It says command unkown.
View 1 Replies View Related(Using AutoCAD 2013) I am trying to insert a .dwg as a block (which has attributes) using the "-insert" command, but the attributes order wrong. The .dwg I'm inserting is the "Exploded" version of the block (loose attributes) so that I don't have to explode it after inserting.

I Xreffed my Profile Border (title block) into paper space then xreffed my profile.dwg into the model space. When I plot, the gridlines from the border plot on top of the profile lines. Is there way to change the plot order of the Xref files?

I have come across a situation whereby when a user redefines a block in a drawing it is changing the draw order of the xrefs.The block in question is the Plan frame, and is located in paperspace. The user redefines the block and the xrefs change their draw order in the viewport. A regen does not unfortunately correct the issue.Drawings were created with Civil 3D 2010. The plan frame block is a dynamic block.

Using Autocad2013. Roughly two weeks ago we updated our company server. Since then, in the Sheet Set Manager, the 'Model View' tab is no longer in alphabetical order. The drawings are just randomly listed now, no order whatsoever.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using a symbol that includes a several text boxes. Each text box includes "prompted text" and "drawing properties". When I insert the symbol onto a drawing, the "Edit Property Fields" menu appears. In this menu, I can input my prompted field text or see the various "drawing properties".
My question is, how do I change the order that these property fields are displayed? It seems as if it depends on the order that the text boxes were created while defining the symbol definition. Is there any other way to change the display order?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used Gimp for years and today I simply cannot move layers. In the layers dialog I usually drag the layers into the desired order but for no reason the layers simply float back to their original position. I have tried;
- Clean install of gimp
- Opening various gimp files (xcf)
- Creating new xcf files
The layers are not;
- Locked
- Floating
