I have created a dynamic block which has hatchings in it.
In the block editor when I do a test of the block everyhting runs smoothly.
Howevfer when it is in model space it fails to keep the hatch boundary associativity. Even when the same dimensions are used as the block has as default.
Why would this be?
I am in the process of fixing one of our dynamic blocks. It's a fairly simple fix where there was a typo in one of the names of our items in the lookup that needed to be fixed.
I changed the name of the item in the lookup table. I went and did the test block and it seemed to work fine, but when I bring the block into a drawing, it reverts back to the old lookup as if I did nothing at all.
I made sure that the path was correct and I even just dragged and dropped straight from Windows Explorer to no avail.Does AutoCAD keep referring to the old block? Did I forget to change something else?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some trouble with a file in Illustrator CS6. Within a layer, when I add a fill to an object, the fill doesn't block out the object paths beneath. For instance, say I have a square object overlapping a circle object in Layer 1. The square object is above the circle in the layer. When I add a fill to the square, the circle stroke still shows through the square even though the overlapped part should be blocked out by the fill. The square is set to normal visibility, and I have made sure that there are no duplicate paths that would account for what I am seeing. (I.e., it's not a case where there's a second identical circle path that is on top of the square, so that it remains visible in spite of the fill.)
Other details:
- I'm mainly working with a white fill, but the problem is the same with fills of any color
- When there's a fill color in the circle path as well, the circle's fill color *is* blocked out—just not its stroke.
- I have restarted Illustrator and restarted my computer and these have not changed anything.
- There are other layers within the same document where the normal layering rules work.
- I tried copy/pasting some of the problem objects into a new document, and in the new document, the fill works properly.
- If I move the problem objects to another layer, then the fill works as it should. But as I'm dealing with a number of paths, it doesn't make sense to create a layer for each to solve the problem.
I can't tell if it's a matter of working in too large or complex a file.
I'm testing out a simple Block Table in the Dynamic Block editor and when I go to save the Block, the following alert pops up. Is there a way to "test" the Block to check all the necessary constraints? Or am I just suppose to go about this with good 'ol fashioned trial and error? Seems the block is working just fine so is the alert just a moot point?

When using the block editor to rename an existing block to clean that instance of the block name out of the file, the block replace command from express tools does not work.
I select a block enter block editor save block as (new Name) save and exit block editor.Insert new block into the drawing.Express tab on the ribbon select Replace Block select block A to be replaced by Block B purge out instance of block A after complete. It reports 0 blocks replaced
attached is a file with 2 blocks called Drain and Drain X each have the same visibility states I want to replace Drain with Drain X to purge out Drain from my file.
I am using Autocad 2013 on a 64bit PC.
I saved and run the Civil OE 64Bit. All the items shown have been selected and installed.
I can only see squares when I open a drawings that comes from the civil engineers.
Is it any option to keep text righ-reading even if block is rotated (by AutoCAD command ROTATE, not dynamic action)?

How to capture the real point of a line within a block?
I used the following method to captured some entities from a block.
I need the point of the entities, to redesign a dimension.
But if I move the original block, and then run my program. The dimension is redesigned in the original location of the block.

I like to think of myself as pretty competent in AutoCAD but I can't figure this one out for the life of me...
I hope I can explain this clearly: When I rotate an object using grips, the object is not shown spinning in real time. I select the object, pick the object's grip, hit <Enter> <Enter> to go into the rotate command and the object will rotate maybe 45^ or so and freeze (visually).
If I use the command line "Rotate" command, the selected object(s) spin in real time or if I use grips to rotate but then use an object snap, it begins to spin in real time for some reason.
I would like to use grips to rotate my objects and be able to see them rotate (like I used to in previous releases).
I have ACAD Civil 3D 2010.
My computer died and needed a lot of work, including a new mother board and new graphics cards. Now LR 4.4 doesn't show photo's. LR seems to be working well in every other way but where the photos should be the spaces are blank.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am cloning a photo... no problem... I changed the resolution, then the clone stamp doens't do anything. I changed the resolution back, still doesn't work.
I click on the color I want it to clone using the option key (I have a mac), then when I put it on the area that I want to change, nothing happens.
Here I attached a sample drawing.
There is a wipeout on top of 2 blocks.
DRAWORDERCTL is set to 3.
But when I explode these 2 blocks, one block inherits the parent block draworder and stays below the wipeout while the other doesn't.
Does Inventor Pro 2013 works with Vault Pro 2012.

What I do is I draw a series of arcs to replicate the reference image also attached in this message. Also, when I print this into PDF, what happens is that the lines break where the arcs intersect in CAD, also attached here.

It says the assembly is in inches but when i go into the individual parts blocks they are all 25.4 scale. Is there a way to not have all the parts scaled up when it is imported?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe use a number of blocks with block tables for data extraction here, and whenever one of the blocks is modified and updated, all of the block tables reset to the default value. This happens for any block reference change, not just changes to the block table (which makes sense that it would reset).
How can we update these blocks without having to manually change all of the block tables afterwards?
my problem is whenever i make a new block a stretch point appears even if its not a dynamic block . also its not a stretch point, because when i click on it, it just move the block , and it always appear on the coordinates 0,0 it cause me a problem when I insert the block , autocad use this point as a base point , and its very far from the real block .

Drawing 1 : Contains tree blocks that have a specific scale dependant on the tree size
Drawing 2 : Contains a block with just a point and attribute data about the tree (name, size etc.)
This block is approximatly at the same location as the tree block (0,1 m precision)
Problem I want to join these two items together. In other words, in the tree block that is scaled correctly i want the attribute data with the name, size etc. These blocks don't have a corresponding unique number or something like that.
I try to place a block on top of another one, and make the new placed block the same same size as the other one. But the block scalefactors doesn't change.

How come the .Net method doesn't work?
I'm trying to make a dynamic block with attribute text. I've made a FLIP action to it but the text will not follow.
In the Command Window i get this text
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 16 found
Select objects: 6 unlocked AttDefs filtered from selection.
We have AutoCAD 2014 and 2012 currently in our office. We have a civil file that works perfectly fine with 2014 (we usually save all files down to 2010 so all our consultants can use them). When we open it in 2012 the object enabler does not seem to work only showing empty boxes with AceeLand90 text in the lower left hand corner. The civil object enabler on 2012 is up to date and the drawing was saved down to 2010. Not sure what I am missing and why it doesn't wort to have the Acee Entities shown in 2012.
