How to permanently hide this tool bar?
As for the tool bar shown in the screenshot below:
What is its name?How to hide it permanently? Is there some settings in the “option” that controls it?
Software: AutoCAD 2014, AutoCAD C3D, AutoCAD M3D, Revit
Windows 7 (Ultimate 64 bits),
Firefox 20.0,
Kaspersky 2013.
I have created a custom tool bar for ACAD 2013. Each time I start a new ACAD session, my tool bar is not docked at the top of the screen and the other standard tool bars I do not want appear.
How do I permanently keep the unwanted tool bars from appearing? Also, in the upper left corner of the screen the following appears: [-][Top][2D Wireframe]. How do I get rid of if?
Is there a way to permanently attach a raster to a .dwg? I want to publish a large set of drawings on our Intranet and some have rasters attached.
I don't need to worry about links to references and how to post them so as not to break the link.
I am working on a rather big xref setup. The MAIN file has got about 10 OVERVIEW files refferenced in, each of the OVERVIEW files got another 15-20 DRAWING files attached.
Now when i attach OVERVIEW to MAIN it brings in all the DRAWINGS as unique xrefs as well.
Of course i want to see the DRAWNIGS in the MAIN file, but I'd prefer not to see them in the xref-manger (where i want to see only the OVERVIEW files).
An additional problem is that the DRAWINGS contain pictures on layout-tabs which are also shown in the MAIN file xref manager.
So long story short: is there a possibility to "hide" the sub-xrefs in the xref-manager?
I am working with a situation that requires me to block some lines underneath some text, and can't use a background mask because the text is located within a block. I tried to use wipeout, but I don't want the boundries of the wipeout to plot. Is there a way to set the boundries to not plot? I have tried changing the color of my wipeout object to 255, but for some reason I was unable to get that to work (I think that has to do with how my company uses plot styles to handle colors).

I currently have the ribbon docked at the side of the screen with auto hide on. next to the ribbon i have a couple of tool bars. when i move across to the tool bar i sometimes over shoot and activate the ribbon which hides the tool bar. Ideally, iwould like to slow down the reaction time before the ribbon appears.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have three dwg files. Each of them have separate MrSID files (image files) attached by georeference. Each file also has one or more polylines and hatch objects on top of the image.
ONE of these dwg files is causing problems. EVERY SINGLE TIME I plot the dwg file, the hatch and lwpolyline objects are UNDER the image. So I have to copy the hatch on top of itself and delete the original--then do the same with the pline.
I'm looking for a way to hide a layer in model space, but show it on ONLY my paperspace tab. Problem is, most of my work is in model space (different aspect of this drawing), and although I could pull the objects through to the paperspace tab, it just wouldn't be the way I feel it should be (3d objects should stay in model space imo). However, for the most part I don't need to see it in model space (except for checking 3d elevations of line segments), the finish product is a printed 2d top view.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIm trying to show some measurements in layout view. But when i dimension between 2 points i get the number 71,84. When i use the measure tool in model view i get 1150mm which is the correct length.
Sure there is some simple reason why the two arnt coming in with the same value. Also it isnt an issue with Units as i have checked both and they are both in millimetres.

I use the publish dialog box to print "dwg to pdf" for larg print jobs. I would like to set TEXTQLTY to 100. why does Autodesk make this NOT Possible with out opening each sheet one at a time. this should be a global setting.

I did it before but i'm not sure what I did to make it "stick". Right now, some images just appear on my PC, but after I send it, they disappear and just show the filename. I used Attach by the way.
How can I turn off the NAVCUBE and NAVBAR features permanently? instructs the reader to use a string value (REG_SZ) and set the value to "O" (presumably for "Off"; but that would conflict with "On"). I tried it with both "O" and "OFF".
So I've tried that approach; but it's not working: these UI-cluttering features (that I don't want to see) reappear upon launch. I've also tried setting these as 32-bit and 64-bit values (to zero). But that hasn't worked either.
So we just upgraded from 2007 (it's a long and unrelated story why it's taken us so long to upgrade). The other thing I've noticed is that when I drag the command-line box and dock it at the bottom (I want it permanently docked at the bottom), upon the next launch of AutoCAD, it appears again in the hovering undocked position. It's very annoying that AutoCAD doesn't automatically remember and respect the user's preferences. And since I'm ranting, my other impression with AutoCAD 2013 is just how incredibly slow it is. I've got respectable hardware (5.9 Windows experience index), yet AutoCAD 2013 launches like a dog.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently been upgraded to AutoCAD 2011 and have noticed that the Navv Cube is on. I have found by typing in the command NAVVDUBEDISPLY and selecting 0 that this turns it off however it seems to be set to turn back on every existing drawing unless it has been switched off in that drawing and then saved. I didn't use AutoCAD 2010 but have been told that the Navv Cube was turned off unless you selected it to be on. Is there anyway to have toe 2010 option or is this another feature of AutoCAD that they don't want to have changed

I am wondering if these points can permanently stick to the line so that if i change the position of the line, the position of the points will also change.

I have figured out how to temporarily delete them by using DELCONSTRAINT but once I make a new line they return. I would like to permanently turn off the constraints but have not figured out how.

I've been trying in vain to change the projection type in my styles editor to 3rd angle and keeping it like that for all future drawings.
It's easy enough to change projection type for an individual drawing by going through Manage > Styles editor > View Preferences, but I'd like all drawings in future to default to 3rd angle. I've tried saving the file as a new template (many times) in Templates > Metric but they always default back to 1st angle projection.
I have set mtext (with background mask on) to the foreground (using draw order: front, and draw order: above objects) but those settings do not 'stick' and often have to go back and reset all those values over again.
I've also tried using Draw Order on the objects under the text (draw order: behind) which also results inthe text randomly behind in front of or behind objects.
Is there a way to set mtext to be in the foreground permanently and not have to go back and mess with Draw Order all the time?
How the actual file location of a drawing can be shown on the ribbon insert of just the file names. For example, file name BOM.dwg is located in C:custom---. Currently, the tool bar is showing AutoCAD BOM. dwg but I want it to show AutoCAD C:custom---.
