AutoCAD 2010 :: Way To Hide Or Collapse Rows In A Table?
Sep 26, 2012Is there a way to hide or collapse several rows in a Table with a single click? This would be similar to grouping rows together in Excel.

View 1 RepliesI've linked a table to an Excel file. It comes in with twice the number of rows that are needed. There are 35 rows of data and it comes in with 70 rows. The print area in Excel is set to only the 35 rows. Can I truncate the table?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add rows above rows in the middle of a table. The options under Rows are all grey/not available. The last row will allow me to add a row below and the top row will allow me to add a row above. I'm unable to Delete rows, too. The table is not listed as locked or anything. Aside from retyping the table, is there something I need to do to be able to edit the table?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've used the attached code to set the number of colu9mns and rows in a table adn it works with all my tests.
However I also receive the warnings:
"Public overridable property NumRows() As Integer is obsolete. Use 'Table.Rows.Count' instead"
and
"Public overridable property NumColumns() As Integer is obsolete. Use 'Table.Columns.Count' instead"
Dim tb As New Table() tb.NumRows = 6 tb.NumColumns = 3
Both the Rows and Column Count property are Read only.
I have two tables in a drawing one of the tables has all my info and formulas. The second table has cells that are linked to the first table cell content. All works great except I need to add rows to the table with the linked cells. When I add the row this causes the row number to change. I have tried using the $ like you do in excel but that has no effect. I do not want to link my tables to an excel spread sheet because we use VAULT as our storage and it is really finicky when checking in drawings or checking out drawings.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI create a sdf file and add a squema for non feature class, for association with an existing feature class squema property.
But the table is empty andlocked with no chance of adding values. Since it has no geometry, how can I put some rows on it.
I try to import using bulk copy, but then I cant remove or add rows.
How can I insert values in a sdf table?
I have created two table rows in an iAssembly that I would like to have a iLogic code written for.
What do I need to use to trigger between these two, when, for instance, a certain numeric value is entered in the parameters? Within the assembly file, when I use the iPart.ChangeRow (or iAssembly.ChangeRow) and put the . I am filename in the first spot, it says it cannot find the file.
This is what I am using, and the error states it cannot find the . i am file I am referencing.
IfParameter("Window_Cutout_Vertical")<=1AndParameter("Window_Cutout_Horizontal")<=1TheniAssembly.ChangeRow("A60_RHR_Door_Assembly.iam", "A60_RHR_Door_Assembly-02")ElseIfParameter("Window_Cutout_Vertical")>1AndParameter("Window_Cutout_Horizontal")>1TheniAssembly.ChangeRow("A60_RHR_Door_Assembly.iam", "A60_RHR_Door_Assembly-01")EndIf
I use the Corel Draw table tool regularly and since upgrading to SP1 the tool no longer works. I can create a table but cannot add rows, columns or even import tables from MS Word. All functionality has gone.
I am also running a machine with X6 without SP1 and the table tool works fine so what I have to do is create the tool in X6 and then it works fine in X6 SP1.
Also noting that the upgrade has not fixed the instability on the 64Bit version as every time I select an object to move it Corel crashes.
I want to draw up a large grid or table in AO sized paper. I will then get it laminated and use it to write down on the left hand column each company I see and sell to. Then beside the company running horizontally I want little check boxes that I can tick off with a marker to not when I last visited that company.
So how doe I make a large sized table with evenly spaced columns and rows etc.
I though that I could just select the table button and set how many rows etc then click and drag. This works, but I want to be able to enter in a value of say 100mm wide by 30mm high and set that for each grid.
The only setting like that is for the actual whole area of the grid/table not each individual cell. Can it be done like how I said?
I would like to know if its possible to make a plugin which will create a button without the user entering any command?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am creating a standalone .exe with VB.net that opens an Inventor .idw and creates a few custom tables. I want one of the tables to have no border at all.
So far I have tried:
Dim oFormat As TableFormat oFormat = oInvSheet.CustomTables.CreateTableFormat oFormat.InsideLineWeight = 0 oFormat.OutsideLineWeight = 0 oCustomTable_Hardware.OverrideFormat = oFormat
But that does not hide the border lines.
I've found no similar code to try out that dealt with table borders or that sort.
I am using a link to an .xls worksheet to populate a General Table in my .idw (Inventor 2012). See attached. The blank space underneath the first lines of information will always be blank, no matter how many rows we get. Is there a way to have the drawing hide the blank/empty cells, make the borders invisible, etc?
I have tried using the Insert Object for an Excel file instead of using the Table feature, but it does not appear to be an updatable link. As in, if I change data in my .xls file, it won't update the inserted object to the same info.
In our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.
Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

I am working on a rather big xref setup. The MAIN file has got about 10 OVERVIEW files refferenced in, each of the OVERVIEW files got another 15-20 DRAWING files attached.
Now when i attach OVERVIEW to MAIN it brings in all the DRAWINGS as unique xrefs as well.
Of course i want to see the DRAWNIGS in the MAIN file, but I'd prefer not to see them in the xref-manger (where i want to see only the OVERVIEW files).
An additional problem is that the DRAWINGS contain pictures on layout-tabs which are also shown in the MAIN file xref manager.
So long story short: is there a possibility to "hide" the sub-xrefs in the xref-manager?
I am working with a situation that requires me to block some lines underneath some text, and can't use a background mask because the text is located within a block. I tried to use wipeout, but I don't want the boundries of the wipeout to plot. Is there a way to set the boundries to not plot? I have tried changing the color of my wipeout object to 255, but for some reason I was unable to get that to work (I think that has to do with how my company uses plot styles to handle colors).

Is there a way to slow down the reaction time of the ribbon auto hide. I currently have the ribbon docked at the side of the screen with auto hide on. next to the ribbon i have a couple of tool bars. when i move across to the tool bar i sometimes over shoot and activate the ribbon which hides the tool bar. Ideally, iwould like to slow down the reaction time before the ribbon appears.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have three dwg files. Each of them have separate MrSID files (image files) attached by georeference. Each file also has one or more polylines and hatch objects on top of the image.
ONE of these dwg files is causing problems. EVERY SINGLE TIME I plot the dwg file, the hatch and lwpolyline objects are UNDER the image. So I have to copy the hatch on top of itself and delete the original--then do the same with the pline.
I'm looking for a way to hide a layer in model space, but show it on ONLY my paperspace tab. Problem is, most of my work is in model space (different aspect of this drawing), and although I could pull the objects through to the paperspace tab, it just wouldn't be the way I feel it should be (3d objects should stay in model space imo). However, for the most part I don't need to see it in model space (except for checking 3d elevations of line segments), the finish product is a printed 2d top view.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have imported an Excel 2003 spreadsheet into an AutoCAD 2010 Table, all came in fine except the following formula =ROUNDUP(((SUM(E27:E33))/24),0)
Does 2010 not support ROUNDUP ? The formula is used to calculate the number (whole) of driver boards required to drive the number of LED's calculated by the SUM function. Each driver board can drive 24 LED's, so if i have 23 LED's I need 1 driver or if I have 25 LED's I need 2 drivers
Also is there a list or table that shows what Excel functions are or are not supported in AutoCAD? I can't seem to find one.
Is it possible to write “If statement” in the table?
For example, I wanted to have the following if statement:
If b3>180º, d3 = b3-180º
If b3<180º, d3 = b3 +180º
Is this possible in the AutoCAD the same way we do it in excel?

I'm attempting to create a table within autocad that I can update as I add new things to my drawing.
I have a ton of dblocks that carry attributes with them, and I want to be able to have the table in autocad populate with the information from each insertion.
The table in autocad will be linked to an excel spreadsheet that should also be updated (either as a separate action or automatically... not sure what would be better).
The table in excel will go through a system of formula that will divide it up into useable groups for me. How do I update a table within Autocad, instead of having to create a new table every time I want to add data to the extraction information?
We use a table with an inserted jpeg image (company logo) as our title block. Everything works fine when you start a new drawing, however, when one tries to insert the template into an existing drawing or thru a new layout, the table that is our title block comes in mirrored with the rows and columns all out of whack.

I copied a piece of an Excel file into AutoCAD as a table. It comes in with the truetype font even though it is assigned to a table style that utilizes an shx font and the correct text style is assigned when I double click in the cell. If I click into the cell and change the text style it will change the font but this will be very time consuming. In the end, I need an AutoCAD table with this information.

But every so often I get a stubborn one that just will not open. It will select and the quick properties box will appear and then the properties box, but nor firing up of Excel. Usually if I am persistent I can get it to work, but I have one right now that is more stubborn than I am.
