Is it possible to convert an arc into a segmented line? I have been looking for a couple of days now, but i cannot find the right command in either the help function or on the internet.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
my question is if I have a curve in 3d view, and I want to project every point on it to a level 0 to make it a line.

Most of us create notations using mtext so it's easy to edit and manipulate. Is there a way to convert the single line text back to multiline after it's exploded?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis screen shot shows part of a shape, this shape was solid with a gradient accros it and now for some reason its got all these rectangles split into it. ( screen shot shows mouse hoovering over one of these rectangles ).
When you save the document as a PDF you can see all the lines which the shape has split into.
Im guessing it has something to do with the gradient? I need to revert it because the shape was quite complicated to draw and i'd rather not have to redo it.
I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2010 and received a .DXF file that contains 'solid' objects. Unfortunately the next tool in my workflow doesn't understand 'solids' only polylines (and a few other basic shapes like circles, lines, etc). Is there some way to convert the object in AutoCAD?
I tried the 'boundary' command but when it asks to 'Pick Points' and I click inside the solid, it always gives the error 'Valid hatch boundary not found'.
What am I missing here?

It is a drawing from an house designer, I am adding structural members and notes over the drawing. I could xref, but I need to move/erase some of their notes as well. It becomes cumbersome to switch to the source dwg, edit & save, move to current dwg and refresh, to have the note where needed.

I have a complicated 3d mesh and i want to use some edges in another software. The software accepts lines and i want to convert mesh to simple lines. I can make 3d polyline from the mesh but i can't convert it to line.

My objective here is to delete all the elevation points except one. It would be time consuming to pick each elevation point and delete them individually (in this case there are about 15 but sometimes there are more).
