AutoCAD 2010 :: When Open Large Facility Building Drawing - Mouse Is Jumping On Screen
Dec 17, 2012When I open a large facility building drawing my mouse is "jumping" on the screen.
The resolution of the mouse does not allow me to select obejects on the screen because the mouse jumps in large increments.
I do not have this problem on smaller drawing, such as electrical schematics.
Is there a setting to increase the resolution of the mouse movemrnt id AutoCAD?

Jun 3, 2013I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.

Feb 21, 2012For as long as I can remember, across all versions of Autocad, I've had problems picking the right item on the popup menu for object snap (shift-right click). It frequently picks the item below the intended one, i.e. it will pick Parallel rather than Perpendicular. Trying a second time works every time. This problem has been so consistent that I don't believe it is user error. The item is highlighted, after all. There is no way I'm repeatedly missing it. Is it possible to calibrate the mouse in Autocad?

Oct 15, 2010The screen flickers when I move the mouse around an open drawing. I just applied the latest patch to Civil 3D 2010. It was not doing this before the patch.
Have Quadro 3500 video card. Updated the driver for that with no change.
Have a Logitech wireless mouse, M310. Up dated the driver for that with effect.
Changed to a wired mouse, no change.
Is there a setting in Autocad where I can set the refresh rate so that it does not refresh while moving the mouse. Or at least slow the automatic refresh rate down?
Illustrator :: CS6 Mouse Jumping Around Erratically
Jan 17, 2013Since installing Illustrator CS6 I am finding that my mouse jumps around the screen erratically while trying to draw making it almost impossible to use the program. It is particularly bad when I connect to a projector for training purposes. This doesn't happen with any previous version of Illustrator (or any other program for that matter). I know it isn't something as simple as my mouse because I tried several different ones but to no avail.
I am using Illustrator CS6 for Windows on Windows 7 and my problem is mainly on my laptop which is a Dell Vostro 1520.

I have tried turn off tooltips on general options but... yes I dont see tooltips but the mouse seems to investigate the objects below the cursor....
In adittion,. is there a variable to control this ?

Photoshop :: Mouse Jumping Erratically In Illustrator?
May 12, 2007Illustrator has been having a problem where anytime that I click the mouse down, it starts jumping around the screen, usually to about 2" down and 3" from the left of the screen. This is only in Illustrator though, Photoshop, and any other programs work fine.
I've tried disabling the Logitech driver too,

I have an existing OS plan that is 'off grid', and would like to adjust the vertices at the ends of all the existing lines and polylines so that they all sit on a grid point. Aug 23, 2012When zooming, I middle click the mouse to bring up osnaps, then type the letter to force the snap I want. That stopped working today: the menu pops up, I type "E", the menu goes away, but it doesn't default to endpoint, there's an "E" on my command line.
I'm not sure if this is a Service Pack 1 issue or not, but I just installed that yesterday.

"E" for "ENDpoint", "M" for "Midpoint" or when I just click over the respective icons in the menu nothing really happens and I get the following message in the command bar:

or
"Command: _mid Unknown command "MID". Press F1 for help."
I tried following, none of which worked:
1. resetting the main customization file ACA_Global.cuix
2. switching between different profiles and cuix files
3. reinstalling Autocad Architecture 2013
4. uninstalling and Installing Autocad Architecture 2013 service pack 1
5. installing older versions of Autocad (2008 and Architecture 2012)
6. reinstalling Windows 7 and installing Autocad Architecture 2013 again
AutoCAD 2010 :: Model Space Jumping During A Command
Jan 9, 2012We are running AutoCAD 2011 and 2011LT on Windows 7 with 12gb of ram and a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 video card.
The problem did not happen to often when we were on XP, but now, whenever we're in a command, the screen jumps as if snaps were turned on with 1/2" spacing. We've tried upgrading the drivers and graphics cards as well as installed all updates I could find. We make sure drawings are purged and audited and Layer manager IS NOT kept open.

Jan 17, 2013My application has suddenly started to link the hatch pattern to the area boundaries.
The objects remain on their own layers, but I am not able to delete the hatch pattern without deleting the boundaries.
I cannot edit the hatch pattern either as the application no longer recognises the hatch pattern.
Have i changed a setting unwittingly?

Jul 10, 2012Form Autocad 2000 to 2012, there is always with this problem. It happens sometimes in object snap, it does not work to snap a intersection point (two crossed lines) when drawing a line or arc or others. For sure, these two lines are in the same plan and can be filleted or chamfered. So I turned on the Apparent intersection, it works with apparent intersection point, I am not sure if this apparent intersection will cause other problem. I am working on pure 2-D drawing, do not want to get any 3D objects inside the drawing.

Nov 21, 2012I have autocad 2011.I am trying to get my autocad to snap to the closest line.
I draw a pline at a 45 degree angle. I press enter and I click the starting point again (in this instance the bottom point) and I draw another line near the other one, the nearest snap indicator shows up, but when I type "2" (units in Meters) and press "enter" the line is drawn where the cursor is and not along the 45 degree angle.
My goal is to get the second line to follow the first line with a different length.
