What or where is the setting to change the dimension value input to automatic rather than accepting the default every time I put a dimension in? I don't want to be prompted for input.

I have a question the command prompt.
The line have the name of layer : 0 (default layer)
I create another layer. It's unicode
And I will change name of layer 0 to 도면층1.
But I can not input unicode character to command prompt.
But It was changed from property dialog.
Can I input unicode character from command prompt?.
Previous version(AutoCAD 2008,2009,2010,2012) CAD worked well.
I have this working without the prompt, if I under manually the margin via var margin = 10; it works. it also seems to return correctly when I print what the input from the user is, but it doesn't seem to want to work and freezes.

I am used to entering my fillet radius dimensions in the command line with [F]illet, [R]adius, then entering a value.
However with 2014 an extra prompt has been added (or enabled) which would mean the path was [F]illet, [D]imension, [Radius], value. I was getting frustrated with this and tried fiddling with the settings ([F]illet, [S]ettings) but could not sort it, and now when I do go to enter a dimension the only option I am left with is to "Select fillet arc", meaning I have lost the ability to enter a value in the command line.
How do I regain the ability to enter a numerical value for a radius?

has something changed in 2011 controlling prompts to save pdfs when publishing from sheetset manager?? im using page overrides, which uses dwg to pdf.pc3 file. it publishes but no prompt for file name. i have checked the sheetset publish options and it is set to multiple & prompt for file name, however it still doesnt prompt and saves it in the folder nominated. where else is this controlled?

The program crashes when I try to enter numbers.For example when I want to move a line 12" and select move then go to type in 12 the AutoCAD program disappears. I am using Windows 7.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I create a line using dynamic input, I key in the length, TAB, and the angle. Is there a toggle setting somewhere that will allow me to enter angles greater than 180°? Drawing Units are set to Base angle north (270°) angles in D-M-S measured clockwise, yet dynamic input angles are measured from east (0°) both clockwise and counterclockwise. I.E. an input of 90° gives me either north or south, depending on where the cursor is located.
Ideally, I would like to be able to enter either 225° or -135° and have the line head off to the southwest. So far, I'm stymied and have to resort to command line entry. How to make dynamic input do what I want it to?
After closing and reopening my command prompt, I find that it is now at the bottom left of the screen and no longer part of the main graphics window. How can I get it to display at the bottom of the main display?

For example, whenever you use the distance command it automatically turns the dynamic input back on. We have turned off the settings under drafting settings - dynamic input. I have also turned off the tooltips under options - display tab. Is there a patch or update?

I get the above error message when i try to open a DXF file which was exported from LSS. The survey data from TPS seems to export fine, but the GPS data won't open.
I've read the previous posts on this error messages, but most seem to be relevant to autocad 2007. However tried the remedy suggested (through MS word) but that didn't work.
We recently switched to 64-bit ACAD on dell M6500 laptops. I used to use dynamic input all the time, but after the switch I noticed when using Dynamic input turned on, when you go to draw a LINE, after you pick the first point, the mouse "lags" and becomes "glitchy". I had the problem "fixed" once by our IT guy, he updated the driver or something and everything was fine.
But now it is doing it again.
How can I import a csv file produced from a total station survey containing the NEZ data from the points surveyed into AUTOCAD?

Are there Inventor 2013 plugin (i.e., add-on, 3rd party, AP) to convert a list 3D Cartesian coordinate system locations (i.e., points) to Inventor to work points(x, y, z)?
I found that I cannot create 3D points in the assembly. Is this correct? I did find that an Inventor part may be used to create a 3D sketch that creates points in 3D space. In the past few days, I found two ways to create 3D points within a iPRT; the batch way uses an Excel file but it then does not allow me to name the points in the feature tree. The second way is to create them one at a time but that take way too much time.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am UNABLE to follow a tutorial on how to make a repeatable pattern using 'texture transfer' on some fire I want to make into a pattern!!! every time I select the area I want to use and the 'input map' and paste as new image and I tell Resynthesizer to use that image it ALWAYS errors out as "The Input Map Should Be The Same Size As The Input Texture Image" according to the tutorial another person gave me on this forum he said NOTHING about being the same size!!! in fact, his selection was SMALLER than the actual image that he was using Resynthesizer on!!!
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn AutoCAD 2012 My dimension style/scale seems to change automatically. I'll add one dimension in paper space,and then the very next dimension will be in a different style. It will say 30" one time, then 400" the next. Seems like it picks its own scale randomly. It happens with the default dim styles as well as custom styles.

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to move the horizontal text of a vertical dimension that's outside of the extension lines to the right or left?
This was possible years ago with a simple stretch or moving of the text grip. Now, if the dimension is above the extension lines, the text is to the right. If it is below the extension lines, the text is to the left.
I am attempting -- without much success -- to put my dimensions in paperspace. The problem is that sometimes (almost always) the dimension value is in paperspace. That is, when I do a Linear Dimension of two points of an object while in paperspace the resulting value will be a few inches instead of many feet.
My model is drawn at full size; my viewport is set to 1/4" = 1'-0"; I am using ACA 2012.
I am not sure if it instructive, but I have found:
- The only time it comes out correct is if my first point is at 0,0. But if the second point is 0,0 it will be wrong (paperspace value). Bizarre
- most of the "wrong" dimensions have the "Associative" property set to "No". The box is grayed out so I am not sure how to change it.
- If I MEASUREGEOM, the value is the correct model space length but if I do a linear dimension using the same two points the value is in paperspace.
After creating a parametricly dimensioned, fully constrained, 2D drawing I wanted to add a couple of annotative reference dimensions to two different curves. I first select the parametric radius dimension (default is annotative). Next I click on the curve, then click the desired location. The dimension shows up, highlighted for editing. I press enter. Now the over-constrained window pops up giving me two options: Create a Reference Dimension or Reselect the Object. I choose Reference Dimension. The dimension immediately disappears. No error shows in the command bar. Attached is the file. It is the two large radii along the bottom (or top, its symmetric) that I am trying to give reference dimensions.
