I know that you can create a Custom dictionary for spell checking in AutoCad, I us one for adding new words daily. What i need to know, is there a way to remove suggested words from the Main DCT file? i.e. word is suppose to be "REFEED", but autocad wants to change it to "REEFED". These are totally different means, the latter not appropriate for client drawings.

Whenever I double-click on a single line of text, I get an AutoCAD message "Unable to find main dictionary. Could not start speller." I am using AutoCAD 2012. I have not changed to the path in my main customization file. It is:

We have a Custom CUI Enterprise file that we load in the profile settings (AutoCAD 2008). I transferred it though the CUI Editor and saved it for AutoCAD 2012. When I load it into AutoCAD 2012, the pull down custom pull down menu does not show, with or without the menu bar turned on. I have some partial CUI files that I did the same way. When I load them, and list them in the Main CUI file as such, they show up as expected. I even tried to list the Custom CUI Enterprise file in the same manor, but I get a "read only" type message and it still doesn't show the pull down.
I also thought about transferring it to another CUI file to partial load and not have a Custom CUI Enterprise file.

Currently working on a PowerPoint styled animation.I've parented the source text of 5 text layers to 1 text layer so I can easily alter the text. It is essential that I have 5 identically texted layers.
My requirement isn't much: To assign colors to individual words without having to separate those words into different layers.
After installing AutoCAD on 3 new Windows 7 workstations, one of them can't find the main dictionary. I can find dictionaries (*.dct) by using the Windows Search function, but when I try to specify a path with the Options command, I'm told that there are "None available". What do I need to do to get a dictionary path loaded?

I scan my slides on epson perfection v700at 50mg, save in windows vista sp2 desktop folder that opens in ps7 elements. then I add camera, date, comments, etc, then save. suddenly the file size decreases considerably. the change seems algorithmic. I save as a tiff.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having in CS6..I have a text block with a couple of styles in it (headings have one look, body copy has another). Here and there, some words are on bold. When I select some bold words and change the color of them, some other bold words in some other paragraph also change color. Not all bold words... just some. The behavior is unpredictable, so the exact words that get changed will vary, but once it starts to happen it won't stop. When I try to manually fix the other words (hopefully I noticed them before my client!) and change them back to black, sometimes that change reverses the color on the original words too. Sometimes not; it's like the effect is sometimes two-way and sometimes one-way. It becomes a real logic puzzle sometimes, a maddening game where every change affects something else and you can't find the combination of actions that will do the simple thing you want.
I haven't noticed it happening with non-bold text, but that could just be coincidence.
When this happens, the only fix seems to be to rebuild the text from scratch in a new text box. (Copying it all and re-pasting it does not seem to work—unless possibly I paste into a different document entirely.)
I want to add the menu in the main menubar where the File Edit etc. are there.

I have a problem with autocad WS on Autocad 2012, I've used a workstation of a colleague of mine, and I access to some personal drawings thru the "online" tab, unfortunately, when I press the "online drawings" and a popup windows appear to ask my Autocad WS data, I forgot to uncheck the "Remember my data" and now every time I click on "online drawings" it connect to my Autocad WS account.
Is it possible to remove my data from Autocad ? I tried to click on Logout on Autocad WS but it doesn't work.I have several personal drawings on it and I don't won't that my colleagues open or modify them.
This is my 3 days of using autocad 2012 3d. I have a basic knowledge in 2d. Attached is the drawing that I am working on. When you open 2.jpg - I want to remove that wall including the window but theres a message appeared that this is 3d solid. When I erase it all of the highlighted lines disappear. But when I am trying to explode all the lines the 3.jpg is view before I explode all the lines the after the 4.jpg is the view after explode. The wall have space in the middle.
How can I remove the wall without affecting the other 3d walls?

If I insert a table with our standard table style is is to big, so made a smaller text style, made a new table style with the new text style in it.
And if I insert a new table with the new style its still big...
But... select the table, right click, Remove All Property Overrides... And the text style is OK, only the row height is wrong, so in the table bar - unlocked, select the table again and move the right little triangle up until the rows don't get smaller.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working with tables that are linked to data from an excel file.After I create a table I dettach it from the excel file. I do not want the excel file to control the table.
I then need to update the text format of all the text in the table. I've noticed that the text strings are still formatted based on how the excel file was formatted.
The only way to remove this is to click on the cell, highlight the text, right click, and then select Remove Character Formatting. Unfortunately I have to do this for each text string.
Is there a way to remove the character formatting for all of the text strings at once?
Even better, is there a way to format the table so that it does not change the text style based on what is in the excel file but instead based on AutoCAD's text styles?
I have several hundred drawings that I needed to update the Title Block on. I used Toolpac to Redefine the blocks, then Scriptpro to run a simple script to ATTSYNC the blocks. This was all done in AutoCAD Map 3D 2012. Now, when my users open the drawings with AutoCAD LT 2012, they get a proxy graphics warning. I opened a drawing in AutoCAD 2012 as well and the proxy warning came up there too so I know it's not just LT. I assume it has to do with AutoCAD Map, however when I've run the same sort of processes (updating title block) from the command line in Map 3D, the proxy graphics aren't introduced.
I am unsure how to determine what proxy graphic was introduced. I've tried a lsp to delete the proxy but it says none was found.
