Opening AutoCAD LT this morning no problem. Closed it down and then opened it up again about 10 to 15mins later and get this message (see attached pdf).

It seems to be as I try to load x-ref's.
OK then update. I select never show this message agian ever (my favorite ) - but guess what a it pops back up. Nothing is wrong with the assembly

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am wondering if it is possible to have a message (note) appear upon the opening of a file? I would like to write notes about the files we are working with, so that succeeding users don't alter information parameters mistakenly, or get confused about the orientaion of a component, etc. etc. etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to replicate the problem, but it appears to be intermittent. It happens on multiple computers, we're using 2.8.4 on Windows 8 at the moment.
Scenario: GIMP is open with multiple files.
Browse a folder in explorer and select OPEN WITH GIMP or just OPEN. And a GIMP startup splash screen appears and reloads the GIMP application automatically closing and losing any work that was in progress on the prior GIMP screens.
illustrator cs3 - every time i open a file it tells me to repair/replace an image.. when i do it ignores the fact i did and tells me to repair/replace the same image again. what shall i do? is that a windows 7 problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a GIS person and not familiar too much with AutoCAD. As you may know we can easily overlay GIS fles in GIS software as much as we would like to have , while having same coordinate system. Now my question is , Is it possible to overlay( Or Open, Add, Insert,..) a dgf file into an exiting one?
For Example, I have received 4 dxf file which they have all same units and coordinate for Pit Design and I just want to have all of them in one dxf. How I can merge them? I saw a hint on web for Copy Base Point but it was too complicated.
I installed AutoCAD on my pc with windows 7 and to complete the installation I had to change the registry file EULA from 0 to 1. Now it works but when I try to open an existing file it crashes.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA fellow co-worker accidentally checked the box that says "don't open this file" (or something like that) that appears when a language file is missing upon opening a file from a client. He then also "accidentally" clicked the "perform this action every time" so as the warning window wouldn't appear any more. As a consequence there are now files that we cannot open on that computer. I've searched through system variable lists and come up empty handed.....

View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I open a drawing created in 2009 and try to publish it in 2010, DSD file message pops saying about unsaved changes (see attached). Since I don't use sheet sets, I do not have any use for DSD file. Is there a way to disable it?
In 2009 it was simple not to include model tab while publishing. Where is this option in 2010? I don't want to remove model tab from the list every time I publish drawings.
I need to delete an AutoRecovery file (.psb) in CS6, it keeps opening on launch. I can't find it on my computer to save my life. I have tried saving the file in various places to see if it takes care of it and it does not. Apparently, it is supposed to be in:
Mac HD/users/me/library/application support/Adobe/Photoshop CS6/Autorecovery
There is not an AutoRecovery folder or .psb file anywhere to be seen in the Photoshop or Adobe library folders, and I have looked everywhere. I have a brand new imac w/ OS x. I have tried searching everywhere for the file and folder, even in places that make no sense. I have searched my entire computer, even visually looking in every folder.
I have read a few message boards and apparently the file should be where it is supposed to be (file path above) and deleting it will solve this issue, but I cannot find it.
somehow a dwg file got deleted. There is a bak file for that but for some reason I can't open it. If I open up the drawing recovery manager in CAD that file is not on the list.Is there a way of opening the file?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD Civil 2013 and AutoCAD 2010 installed on my Windows 7 system.
Whenever I double click on a *.dwg file Windows starts up Civil instead of AutoCAD 2010 to open the file. Even if I already have AutoCAD 2010 running.
I went into the Control Panel Associations and attempted to Associate a file type with a specific program. When I pcik the *.dwg file extension the only option that Windows gives me is "AutoCAD Application". I even browsed to the AutoCAD 2010 directory and manually chose acad.exe but Windows just defaulted back to "AutoCAD Application".
I know that you can create a Custom dictionary for spell checking in AutoCad, I us one for adding new words daily. What i need to know, is there a way to remove suggested words from the Main DCT file? i.e. word is suppose to be "REFEED", but autocad wants to change it to "REEFED". These are totally different means, the latter not appropriate for client drawings.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI cannot seem to open .dwg files from an email using AutoCAD LT 2010
I get an error saying c:users"username" empoutlookj0814-052.dwg is currently in use or is read only.
Would you like to open the file ready-only?
I can save the file then open it. But the user wants to open the attachment straight from the email.
I've tried changing the attributes on the folder from read only but this doesn't work, tried another profile, again this doesn't work.
It does seem to only effect .dwg files when opening with AutoCAD LT 2010. If someone sends an xls, .doc, .pdf attachment they all open OK, I'm sure this is an AutoCAD LT 2010 issue. I have downloaded and installed both hotfixes / patches from the autodesk website and reinstalled the software but this hasn't worked either.
Why I cannot remove the ISO b1 full bleed from this plot config file?
I never print metric so there is no need to for it.
Even though I run the Dwgconvert function in DwgTrueview 2012 I still can not open the converted file in AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 SP 2. Fatal error with some hex memory addresses displayed. DwgTrueview opens and displays the dwg. just fine. AutoCAD R14 & 2000 open the file with no problem as well.

I recently reinstalled AutoCAD and am happy with everything else, it seems that when it comes to AutoCAD.
