I scan my slides on epson perfection v700at 50mg, save in windows vista sp2 desktop folder that opens in ps7 elements. then I add camera, date, comments, etc, then save. suddenly the file size decreases considerably. the change seems algorithmic. I save as a tiff.
View 4 RepliesI made an artboard of 1500 x 1500 pixels with some type in it, the type was converted to outline. Then i descreased the size of the artboard to 150 x 150 pixels and the type (outline) became deformed, So I had to use Illustrator CS6 to do it. I decreased the size of the artboard and the path kept its orginal shape.

Currently working on a PowerPoint styled animation.I've parented the source text of 5 text layers to 1 text layer so I can easily alter the text. It is essential that I have 5 identically texted layers.
My requirement isn't much: To assign colors to individual words without having to separate those words into different layers.
How can in retain my original jpg file sizes when processing multiple file in 11 using expert mode.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm having in CS6..I have a text block with a couple of styles in it (headings have one look, body copy has another). Here and there, some words are on bold. When I select some bold words and change the color of them, some other bold words in some other paragraph also change color. Not all bold words... just some. The behavior is unpredictable, so the exact words that get changed will vary, but once it starts to happen it won't stop. When I try to manually fix the other words (hopefully I noticed them before my client!) and change them back to black, sometimes that change reverses the color on the original words too. Sometimes not; it's like the effect is sometimes two-way and sometimes one-way. It becomes a real logic puzzle sometimes, a maddening game where every change affects something else and you can't find the combination of actions that will do the simple thing you want.
I haven't noticed it happening with non-bold text, but that could just be coincidence.
When this happens, the only fix seems to be to rebuild the text from scratch in a new text box. (Copying it all and re-pasting it does not seem to work—unless possibly I paste into a different document entirely.)
How to set image size/resolution when opening a raw file in pse 11 editor? win 7 pro; pse 11 settings: edit>preferences>print resolution = 337.596, screen resolution 109 dpi( 27 inch, dell U 2711). Originally print resoltuion was set to 240 dpi but was changed in case this was causeing a problem. CRAW v 7.4.0.137 Camera alpha 65, image size is: 6000x3376 dpi; (83.33x46.88 inch) Problem is: Currently when I edit a RAW file in CRAW and then open in pse editor image size is: 6000x3376 px; 25x14.667 inches at 240 dpi ( by ration this corresponds to:17.773x10 inch at 337.6 dpi)
I am trying to change settings so the raw file opens as: 17.776x10 and anywhere from240 to 337.6 dpi whatever works or is esiest to set.
My settings are for use in creating blue ray dvd movies and with cropping and editing printing high quality pictures for family.
Some of the thumbnails on elements 12 organizer have an error message of "File Size too Large" and are not displaying. All of the photos are jpeg file and are aound 8mb.

How do I identify what any given color is?
When I click on a letter, it shows me a visual block of the color, but doesn't tell me what the corresponding color number is.
Problem being, if I see one letter and want to take its color to use it elsewhere, I have no way of knowing what that color is.

I find this excellant for fireworks and certain architecture prints.
Problem is that in CS6 I cannot adjust Set Up dialog to get entire paper printed correctly. The printer(both Canon's 9000mkii/9500mkii) always have a border. Red River(the paper I use) sez use 8x12 but there is no 8x12 setting.
the paper size in the CS6 Print menu (PS Manages Color) so the copy is inked 100%?
I have Photoshop CS6 and Elements Premiere 11 and both were showing estimated file sizes properly up until a couple of weeks ago, and both stopped at the same time. Using Image, Mode I have verified on both that the images I am trying to save are 8 bit and not 16 bit images. I am on Window 7, 64bit.

You would expect that when you change an image to 150 x 100mm it would stay at that size and not be added to.
