After Effects :: Lossless Rendering Files - Audio Doesn't Match?
May 7, 2013
I've been rendering lossless files in after effects for a year now without any problems. Now all of a sudden when I render .mov files, the playback is frayed and jumpy... audio doesn't match, etc. I've tried rendering lower then upper fields and vise versa, and both at once. nothing works.
When I import a particuar video clip into premier, there is a problem with the audio. It plays absolutely fine until 9 minutes through when all of a sudden the audio loops back to the beginning. The video carrys on as normal untill the end of the clip but the audio starts from scratch. I have tried removing the video, renaming, moving location, starting a new project, but no matter when or how I play the video the audio starts again 9 mins through! The video plays fine in any media player except premier. I have tried exporting the video but unfortunately the audio error also gets exported. The clip is crucial to a video I'm making and can't be re-shot!
I have a .wav file in my composition that I see the waveform going across the entire composition. If I grab the first 10 seconds of my composition and hit 0 on the number pad, it correctly plays the audio the entire time. When I render that composition, making sure audio is enabled, it doesn't work. The resulting .mov file plays the audio for the first 5 seconds and then just abruptly stops.
It seams that when editing in After Effects (CS6) despite doing everything i've been told to do i get no audio when editing video clips imported from my digital camcorder. The only audio it seams i can hear in it is an actual song or audio file (MP3) and the worst part is when i render out the video after adding my effect even when i check the audio output box in the Output Module, i keep most render settings the way they are? but i have tried everything that i have seen suggested but nothing seams to work and no matter what i do i cannon manage to get any audio from my finished products unless there is an actual song in it.I must also add that in the Output Module i have tried many formats such as MPEG4, H.26, AVI, WAV, Windows Media and many others, none of them make a difference to the audio, only the quality of the video.
I am working on a motion graphic, it contains a background a camrea and a couple 3d layers, when a I render it it a 2 of the 3d layers shake randomly. This does not happen in the preview. Using CS4
When I try to import a .m2ts file into After Effects CS6, there is no audio track what so ever not even if I do the RAM Preview. However, when I play the clip in Windows Media Player, the sound is totally fine. But whenever I import the clip, After Effects detects the video as having no sound. It doesn't even give me the option to check the little speaker icon in the timeline.
Have reinstalled Premiere Pro 6.0.5 because I cannot drag Audio Transitions or Effects to any Timeline sequences in my Projects. Have tried modifier keys, but to no avail.
I am trying to batch convert several thousand TIFF files to lossless JPEG-2000, but I can't get it to work.
When I open a single file and "Save as" JPEG-2000 with the lossless option checked, the result is truly lossless. But when I record this as an Action and then Automate/Batch this action, the output is not saved as lossless.
I have created keyframes from audio file and used them to generate some effect, all works fine, it is amazing how easy it is However, I would like to generate flash (?) so that these effects would be dynamic to different audio files after export.
What I want is basically to create effects that can be used in life event to the streaming music.
I use pr5. I got a clip (.mov with audio) and imported the clip and enable the cache source media so it will be transcoded into stone. Now after i edit the clip into the timeline , i want to reveal the master clip. so i select the clip and the audio as well (sync) and try to do match frame (F key). I got new clip reveal in my desktop but only the video, it got no audio. How to get the audio back from the original source ? why the match-frame is ignoring the audio ? so far i have to do silly steps by re edit the source clip back to the timeline to pair back with the audio. is this a bug ?
I am having an issue exporting my sequence which contains final AIFF mix (24 bit 48 kHz) into a 'same-as-source' ProRes 422 file with 24 bit audio. I am specifically trying to export media with 'Match Sequence Settings' checked to create an identical output of what my sequence is. I wind up only creating a PR422 with 16 bit audio rather than 24 bit audio.
My sequence contains ProRes 422 media and 24 bit AIFF final stereo mix (1 audio file) from our Sound department.
My sequence is currently setup as "Custom" at 1920x1080, 23.976 fps, Square Pixels, Progressive, etc. Audio is 48 kHz (I don't see an option for choosing different bit rates in the 'Sequence Settings').
Using 'Match Sequence Settings', my options to alter the audio are "greyed out" and unavailable. I'm not sure why 'Match Sequence Settings' doesn't recognize that I am cutting with 24 bit audio and, instead, only exports 16 bit audio.
The audio sounds choppy and I cannot figure out why Im getting it. I'm experimenting with Corel VS to learn how to use it. IF I use audio files ripped from a CD I get choppy audio after the project is rendered to a wmv hd 1080p file. It sounds fine during the preview playback in the project though.
Music that I have downloaded from the web does not do this. I assume I am doing something wrong when extracting audio from disks? I am just using Windows Media Player to RIP the CD's with. Should I use something else?
I use VS ver 10.0 and during working on a project there were no problems. I use different files (audio and video) and after rendering lost some mpg audio files. Video is still there but audio is muted. wma and one mpg files works fine.
Project properties: PAL (25 fps) MPEG files 24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps Lower Field First (DVD-PAL), 16:9 Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps) Audio data rate: 224 kbps MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo
wma file properties (works fine after rendering):
mpg files, different ones (works fine after rendering):
I have created three projects and produced from them 3 perfect MPEGS (PAL DVD 16:9 Stereo) - I am now trying to put them together into one single MPEG, but the finished MPEG audio stutters occasionally. I am going to try and remove the additional link vids in between them and see if that makes a difference. Let me know if you need any more info.
my video and audio to synchronize after rendering. About end of last year when I first brought this issue, I was made to believe that I do not have a “good” or “powerful” enough system to handle what I was doing.
I am having a very difficult time trying to figure out what is wrong with my audio in VSPx4.
When I put a video in the timeline and click on it so it is on the "clip" the video plays fine but the minute I switch it to "project" the audio dissappears. If I render it in any format, the audio doesn't return. Also, if I multi-trimm a video I am no longer able to get audio either.
Lastly, if I split the audio from the video I cannot play the project at all. It just gives me a frozen screen...
I have re-installed VSPx4 and have all the patches updated.
Trouble with PS5 and LR4... when I go to "edit in Photoshop" from Lr... it opens and doesn't match the image in LR (colors)... same goes when saving edited image back to LR... also, when Saving from PS to desktop, it looks terrible unless I "Save for internet" ... how can I get this to all match?
My color settings are synchronized across all CS applications. I'm trying to see document both as a soft proof and not. Neither mode improves the color differences I'm seeing on screen. Photoshop displays color TOTALLY differently from all other CS applications: Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator & Acrobat.
In the image below, Indesign is on the left. Photoshop is on the right. Image appears in Bridge, Acrobat and Illustrator just like InDesign.
i've checked my monitor screen-up...everything is set to "standard". adjust Ps-CS6 image...it looks swell. print the bad-boy on my Epson NX430...and the image looks dark. or like mud. or too bright.
how can i get the printer, monitor, and Ps-CS6 to be on the same page, colorwise?
I'm trying to cut out a selection using Quick Select (all refine edge settings off) and then paste into a new layer. However, I can't get a 100% pixel perfect alignment once I paste. Cut/Paste using the rectangle select does match 100%. The quick select tool should allow for 100% pixel perfect alignment, correct?
I made a simple panel in photoshop and used the #number for the color selected to fill one side of the panel in my CSS code. When the page is rendered there's a very slight difference between the panel and the background which I expect to be exactly the same.
Under Save as, extension does not match format chosen (ie, if I choose JPG, it gives my file a IIF extension. I have to choose JPEG 2000 to get JPG, all are off by one position)
I am using Inventor Professional 2013 what im trying to do is create a flat pattern so I can send out to get formed. I need the panel to be 7.75" Width 53.50" Height and 2" Depth. When I click unfold where the 45deg is, it doesnt match up with the bend. Im not sure if its supose to be like that or what lines i need to keep to get the correct mesurments.
I'm trying to plan an access road which must run at least 2.5m away from an existing fenceline. I've put a few parallel road lines in at 3m distance, but at the fence bends I decided to put some circles at the bend points to give me a 3m radius. When I did this I was suprised to find that the circle extends further than my access road. I've dimensioned them both up, CAD is telling me they're both 3m away but they're clearly not at the same distance.
It's my first time using SSA, and I had finally created a network and storm that I thought was working properly (using TR-20 routing with an SCS II storm), until I took a closer look at the profile outputs - and noticed that the graphed Max HGL line does not match the Max HGL listed in the table below. The difference was 856.2 on the graph and 858.01 on the table at one my structures, for example.
The ability to import pipe networks is nice in SSA, but if the output data is always this wacky I may have to go give up on SSA and go back to using Hydrocad.
I have an intel 3570k cpu and an nvidia gtx 670 gpu, and it only uses my gpu for the 3d clview, but when it renders photos, it only uses my cpu, which makes rendering take so much longer.
Is there a reason that After Effects keeps crashing and only getting to a certain render point when pressing "0"? If I split projects into different compositions I don't tend to get the same issues, but it's more pain than it's worth spiting one video into 4 parts.
I am trying to make about a 7 second clip of some photography (converted into that cool 3D paralax effect) with a lens flare and a CC light rays effect. The damn thing took two hours and was less than halfway done, which seemed extremely long to me. Here is my setup:
i7 4770 (2 processes for system, and 6 for AE, with 2 gigs per process) Nvidia 760 4bg 32 gigs ram (4 set aside for system and the rest for Creative Cloud stuff) SSD: system, media cache HDD: projects, files
Everything else I've tried to render has been reasonable times. For instance 5 minute clips usually take about 15 minutes. I've tried variations of the multiprocessing tab to no avail, and changing the media cache to HDD which didn't work also. Just seems like something is going terrible wrong.
So I guess my question is twofold.
1) How important would it be to get another drive? (I'm between adding one SSD or getting 2 HDD's per my budget, which presents another question of would a 2 SSD, 1 HDD setup be better than a 1 SSD, 3 HDD setup)
