I'm attempting to animate a stroke similar to the the new Siri interface in iOS7...The stroke is fixed at both ends but bounces relative to the users voice. How I could possibly recreate this in Ae or even tutorials that exist that follow this same idea?

I need to animate a butterfly in 3D. I created the wings with 2 identical shapes. I animated the wings flapping with the rotation tool. So now I have a stationary butterfly that's flapping its wings. Should I animate the butter fly on the same comp or should I create a new comp and import the butterfly into that new comp? I tried to animate the butterfly moving in a new comp, but it's difficult to work with because you're animating the whole comp, meaning when you select the butterfly, it's the whole comp you're selecting, not just the butterfly. This makes it difficult to work with.

I know settings in Layer Styles can be tweaked in simple animations, how can i do it to a filter effect? I use photoshop & flash does anyone know anyway to do it smoothly? any plug-ins or methods?
the only method i can think of is to create multiple images then adding them in flash, but that wouldn't be smooth enough for me and it will make my flash file too big if i import so many images.
can anyone suggest any workaround to that? any software/plug-in that can do that? The effect im trying to create is the flipping of a page, i found a filter to curl the ends of the page already, but it only saves a image at a time.
I have created keyframes from audio file and used them to generate some effect, all works fine, it is amazing how easy it is However, I would like to generate flash (?) so that these effects would be dynamic to different audio files after export.
What I want is basically to create effects that can be used in life event to the streaming music.

I am thinking particularly about a method to easily (automatically) reduce the volume of the background music when a voiceover starts and raising it again after the voiceover is finished.
I find the existing process of capturing a volume node fiddly and, for me, a bit hit and miss.
I've just bought VideoStudio Pro X4 and I want to mute the sound on my clips as I'm going to have music playing instead. On page 115 of the manual it says I will find the clip volume control in the Music and Voice tab. I have been all over the program interface and clicked on virtually everything but I cannot find a Music and Voice tab. In the end I had to split the audio for each clip and delete it. how to find the Clip audio volume control?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a composition which has two pieces of VO. Each has an associated text block.I want to play the first VO when the first text is clicked. Then, when the VO ends, I want the first text block to fade out, the second to fade in and play the second VO when tapped.
I have the timeline set up with labels to play through the transitions at the end of the first VO. No issues there.I have the audio playing when I click on the text blocks. All good.However, I do not know how to make the timeline wait for the audio clip to end before playing.This is the code for the first text block:

This plays the audio but also plays the timeline instantly (so the text blocks fade from one to the other as soon as the audio starts).
I figure I need some sort of code in between which says, essentially, 'wait until the audio finishes then [play timeline]'. But as much i have searched I cannot find anything to do that.
I edit a ton of parties with cross dissolves on most cuts. Being able to see the waveform in effect controls and match the bass kick or snare would save me hours of time and hundreds of key strokes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running both PS CC and CS6 on my mac mini (late 2012, 2.3 i7, 16 GB ram). When I try to use the lighting effects filter on CC, it opens, and all the sliders in the properties box work, but without the tools to point and modify the light source. On CS6, lighting effects opens with the expected oval shaped tools and the intensity adjuster. I am assuming that it is not the Mac-mini, as it handles both versions, CC and CS6,Is this a bug in CC? I have searched and found nothing to this effect. I am assuming the video capabilities are adequate as the lighting effects option is not greyed out in either version. Also, I have made sure the image I am working on is in 8 bit mode.

I have looked through the discussion site and done everything suggested -- Adobe is up-to-date, as is my graphics card; I have changed the "Drawing Mode" from Basic to Normal to Advanced. (I do note that since I updated the Video Driver, the OpenCL option is now greyed-out. I'm not sure why.) I have copies of the relevant System Info below.

I still can't control the keyboard shortcut commands in After Effects. Why is the command to duplicate different in photoshop and after effects? Doesn't adobes project managers work with each other? Or do the sections close their doors and do their own thing? The 3d space is different in every application they own.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen designing for the web, I often like to give text boxes a thin, 1-pixel stroke of a slightly darker color than the box itself. I've noticed that when using the Stroke layer style options, setting the position attribute to "Inside" and the blend mode to "Multiply" has the undesirable effect of multiplying the border color with the background, instead of multiplying the border color with the box color (see figure 1). This seems like a bug to me. The only way I have found to achieve the result I'm looking for is to create a duplicate shape above my box layer, set the fill to 0%, and then apply the stroke effect to that layer (see figure 2). Any way to accomplish this all in one layer? I know I could just set the blend mode to "Normal" and choose my darker color explicitly, but I want the layer style to be portable, so I can use it on boxes of any color and have the resulting stroke a darker shade of that color.I am currently using Photoshop CS4 on a Mac.

But -- I'm sure there's a way where I could keep that text and effect editable while adding a stroke to look as if I united so the stroke follows the group and not the individual letters.

I'm looking for a way to use Photoshop or Corel Painter to "draw" an alphabet, while capturing the strokes as they are done in real time. I don't want to see the application's screen cursor. I also don't want to take the completed letter(s) and reveal them with a matte. This doesn't look real, and is also problematic where lines intersect. So, I'm thinking there must be a way to do a video screen capture, but I'm not familiar with applications that do this.

This example appears to have been done with real media, ink and brush. I'm guessing the artist may have shot video from behind a translucent substrate as the letters were drawn, and then flipped the video (so the letters weren't backwards). It looks great, but I'm hoping there is a way to mimic this effect on my Mac.
I am wanting to buy/use software to enable me to create gif files that has bouncing balls with different letters on each ball.
I have tried to create them using paintshoppro, but this would involve creating each letter seperately, is there something that i can use where i change the text and the programe does the rest?
When I try to import a .m2ts file into After Effects CS6, there is no audio track what so ever not even if I do the RAM Preview. However, when I play the clip in Windows Media Player, the sound is totally fine. But whenever I import the clip, After Effects detects the video as having no sound. It doesn't even give me the option to check the little speaker icon in the timeline.

for some reason my video in AE that i am rendering is not in sync audio wise however i have the original file and the audio is fine. why is it that in AE the video is not in sync?i previewed it many time in different scenes however when the video hits about 2mins the video suddenly becomes off synceven tho the original video i have isnt.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have this audio layer that I want to add as a soundtrack to the intro video I made. The audio is a bit longer than the intro so I added 2 keyframes at the end of the audio to act as a fade out (I decreased the audio levels from +0.00 dB to -19.00 dB). The problem is when I export the project, I don't hear this faiding out. Is like AE doesn't "reads" the 2 audio keyframes. (When I hit play inside the project, with RAM preview, I can hear the fading out, but not when exporting). I have to mention I export the project as .FLV, as .AVI exports much bigger files. I attached a screenshot so you can see the keyframes I'm talking about.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a .wav file in my composition that I see the waveform going across the entire composition. If I grab the first 10 seconds of my composition and hit 0 on the number pad, it correctly plays the audio the entire time. When I render that composition, making sure audio is enabled, it doesn't work. The resulting .mov file plays the audio for the first 5 seconds and then just abruptly stops.
I'm using the Creative Cloud version.
