I created a line (stroke). I am following along with the Pluralist Brochrue creation video tutorial. I cannot click on the stroke weight options in the toolbar, I cannot select or make changes to the swatch panel options, even though the line is selected.

I have an issue with Illustrator CS6, running on 10.6.8. I'll have an object selected, and I'll be using my Swatches panel to edit the colour of the object's fill, let's say. Then I will want to edit the colour of the stroke – as soon as I hit the stroke square in my toolbox, the Swatches panel disappears and the Color panel jumps out instead. Any example or the steps required to build such a panel. I've created a panel using CS Extension builder but cant figure out how to populate it with swatches.

I was always able to do this before. (should be simple...) I made a gradient and just want to save / add it to a Swatch Panel that I've already defined and saved. I used to be able to drag (I think) the gradient into the desired Swatch Panel and then 'save the swatch again' It won't let me do this today even though I just did it last night!
I'm working on a Windows 7 machine and I am using Illustrator CS5....
The Illustrator swatch panel is far more advanced and user-friendly than the PS version, i.e. create swatch folders, move and delete colours from anywhere in the order etc.
I'm increasingly surprised that Adobe haven't improved it with new releases (I am now using CC software and still nothing).
Are there any plans to match the Illustrator functionality?
I have created a swatch panel with my own colours - named "custom 1" in CS6...how to add a new colour to "custom 1" at a later stage? Surely once you create a custom swatch panel, it can have colours added to it?

I'm having this problem with the stroke weight on my objects staying the same pixel size when I adjust their size. I had this issue in 5.5 and learned how to fix it by the 'Transform Object' panel and deselecting 'Adjust Stroke Weight When Scaling'.
Well, that's turned off in CC, but the stroke is still obviously getting bigger when I increase the size of my object. The stroke weight still says it's the same, but a person can easily tell that the stroke is bigger. And, the 'Adjust Stroke Weight When Scaling' is greyed out. I can't turn it on or off. Something is going on.
im starting up illustrator, and the control panel (at the top) is missing. I tried restoring the essentials layout, restarting the program, and restarting the computer to no avail. the screen resolution is at the highest setting, and the control window is checked.

I just started using PS (CS6) and I added 10 new custom swatches that I want to save in a new swatch library. However, I still have the PS default library of swatches listed (that contains scores of colors). Can I select multiple swatches at once to save them for the swatch library? I am using Adobe Illustrator CS6 Classroom in a Book which refers to 'Fill color in the Control panel' without explaining what exactly it is. Googling "Fill color" returned an image of a label 'fill' but my Illustrator CS6 has no such thing. Instead, it shows a couple of pull-downs when the Selection tool is selected. what Fill color is on this Control panel.

THe panel is there with no info inside it. When i open the same job on another machine with the same specs as mine, the artwork is fine and i can see my object styles. WHen I open old artwork that has object styles set, I cannot see them, but again are fine on another machine.
I have a dual display setup at work, where the larger display holds the document window, and the smaller display holds most of the floating tool and function panels. I upgraded to OS X Mavericks, and now all the panels have moved onto the primary display. This is happening in all Adobe applications, whether CS6 or CC.
Even moving all the panels back to their previous positions and saving them under a new Workspace did no good. As soon as I leave one application, I go back to it to find the panels all on the primary display once again.
Will I have to trash all the prefs, or is this a new bug?
I try to add a predefined character style via eyedropper tool to another text. First i simply select the tool and click on the previously marked text.
Now the tool instead of picking the predefined characterstyle exchanges the current textfill with an appropriate textstroke.
I've already reset my preferences and short of a complete new installation of InDesign i don't know what to do.
Thought the CC had info how to deactivate my PH Shop program, my computer only allows uninstall, change does not work to get it deactivated. Need the license off the Microsoft Windows computer and onto my new MAC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt would be a nice feature to have a control panel in Inventor where you could take certain driven constraints and put them on this control than hit a momentary button to make your model move. Once example would be a hydraulic cylinder. Presently, we drive the cylinder to put things into motion, but I have to access thru browser and usually add symbols to make the constraint stand out (See image). If I had a control panel where I could tie that driven constrain to it and depress a toggle/button which would activate the constrain. I would then have full control and almost act like it would in the real world.
