3ds Max :: Stop Physx Toolbar From Opening On Startup?
Jul 1, 2011I can't seem to be able to stop the physx toolbar from opening on startup. I've tried deleting it and resaving the maxstartui file with no luck.

May 6, 2013I'm on Photoshop CS6 13.1.2 on a mid 2010 MacPro running OS/X 10.8.3. Everytime I start up Photoshop it also opens up a .psb image file which was editing some time ago. I don't want it opening on startup. I have tried:
1. Closing the tab
2. File/Close
and then exiting Photoshop and starting up again. The file sill loads.

3. Command-Option-Shift on startup to reset Photoshop. The file stil loads.

How do I stop this file from loading automatically on startup?
AutoCAD 2010 :: Opening Drawings From Startup
Feb 24, 2012I have been given a new lap top plus the updated AutoCAD rev. 2012.Supposedly it is superior to my old laptop but... it runs slower, the mouse action is awful, it's like stirring cold porridge.
Anyway, I have spent the first week battling with various bits, trying to get it to look & feel like my previous laptop using 2010.
The big issue I have is upon start up. Rather than loading the standard AutoCAD "drawing 1" regardless, I want to have the browser open up so I can select the' previous drawings loaded on my last session or select a new drawing or browse folders to find the drawing I want.
how I managed to switch this on, back when I managed it on 2010 version.I have given up on running up & down the menus.

I can override the OPEN command and substitute my own, but there are a variety of ways to get a dwg open. How to stop or abort opening a drawing consistently? Even if it's not .net?

When I used LR2, I saved these files only if I choose to. I always convert my files to jpg after I'm done editing in PS and don't need these huge files hanging around.

May 8, 2012I get a warning when I open another max scene on another machine here at work, it says:
"The MassFX authored in this file was created with a newer version of the plugins. Forward compatibility is not supported so things might not behave properly."
I am currently using PhysX for Max version: 2.7.1.0202.1800 and PhysX System Software 9.11.0621.
Third party plugins installed for Max being used in the scene are: Rayfire 1.57.10; Orbaz Particle Flow Box #2 ver. 1.07 and #3 ver. 1.53. I've gotten this warning in scenes saved from another PC, opened in another, and not even using any PhysX or PhysX capable plugins.
Maya :: PhysX Bake Command Fail
Jul 2, 2011I've experienced a major issue with baking rigid body simulations in PhysX for Maya 2012 64-bit Hotfix 2. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
The simulation runs fine in the viewport, even in Viewport 2.0. The animation is a classic 10-pin bowling shot. When I try to bake, the whole thing goes haywire. Pins lean over and start dancing insanely. Not a desirable outcome.
3ds Max :: Remove All PhysX (MassFX) References From Scene
Aug 22, 2011lately i am often experiencing a problem, where at the opening of scene, a message pops up saying "The 3ds Max file is made of old PhysX plugin. Do you want to convert to current version?" If i click yes, then max freezes, and even after 10 minutes remains frozen, so i have to terminate the process. If i click no, then this annoying message pops up everytime i open my file. I just cannot track down the reference to PhysX plugin in my scene. I can't find it. Is there any efficient way to search & destroy scene connection with PhysX plugin. It's like a plague slowly spreading across my scenes as i merge objects between them.

3ds Max :: Baking Physx Of 8400 Objects To Keyframes?
Mar 13, 2011When i press play on physx toolbar everything is simulating fine, from start to end.Problem is when i want to bake physics simulation to keyframes.
3dsmax freezes and whole process is taking a lot of time, about 8 hours.
Simulation without baking is taking only 20min.
3dsmax file before baking process have 20MB and file after baking have 9GB
Is there other, more efficient way to bake physics dynamics or to simulate physics Maybe using particles with physics? particle toolbox #2 ?
Maya :: Hotfix 2 / PhysX Has Disappeared - No Plugin Reference Or Shelf
Jun 2, 2011I have Maya 2012 Creation Suite x64 on Windows7, and just installed Hotfix 2.
PhysX has now disappeared, no plugin reference or shelf.
I've tried loading physx.mll manually, but reports missing procedures.
Also tried setting MAYA_PLUGIN_PATH to the nVidia Maya plugin directory, no luck.
What am I missing, and what did Hotfix 2 do?
AutoCAD LT :: How To Stop Drawings From Opening In Separate Windows Using Windows 7
Jan 10, 2012This just started happening after I downloaded DWG TruViewer. I am working on LT 2008 using Fusionware on a MacPro. I needed the viewer to convert newer drawings from an architect. Now, when I double click on a drawing in Explorer a separate AutoCad window opens for each drawing I need open. I prefer to just go up to Window>and click on the one I need at that time, especially if I have several to switch between because it is easier to see the file name I want.
SDI is set to 0
Taskbar is set to 0
Relaunched the program
I can't open files using File>Open because the program crashed each time and Autodesk is not issuing anymore fixes for 2008.  (Yes, we should upgrade but there is no money budgeted)
Right-click on any .dwg file and go to Properties>General>Change> and select the AutoCad LT launcher as the preferred program
Since I am in Window 7 instead of XP the File Types tab has been removed from Folder Options  so I can't fix it that way.
So, why did this change? FYI that stupid TruViewer made lots of unnecessay changes to my AutoCad and Explorer programs that I am still trying to sort out like changing the file icon and hiding the file extensions. Are they trying to make it hard to find files or what?
And next, how can I reset the default so that double clicking on a .dwg in Explorer opens in already open AutoCad window?

You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.

The Adobe Photoshop CC 14.1.1 (14.1.1.415) crashes immediately on startup under OS X 10.8.5 unless I am running logged into the root account. This happens when I try to run Adobe Creative Cloud.app as a standard user or as a user with admin privileges.

In other words, the only way I am able to run the Adobe Photoshop CC application is if I take the dangerious option of enablign the root account, logging into it and then directly running the application.

Photoshop :: CS6 - Very Slow Startup?
Jul 2, 2012I've just applied the latest update, but am experiencing very slow image loading times between LR 4.1 and CS6 Extended edition. I am using an iMac 27 2.8Ghz with 8Gig of System Ram, over 300Gig of HDD free space.

Upon selecting edit-in CS6 with an image in LR 4.1, CS6 starts up with a long splash screen, loads, then I get a spinning grey circle, then CS6 loads on the desktop, then I get a colored spinning circle, before my image finally appears.

I have performance set to an external scratch disk witih 624G of free space, 5644 MB of memory usage at 74%, HS at 30 CL at 7 CTS at 1028K

I have CS5 still installed and it's load times are about twice as fast as CS 6
