I do have Acrobat Reader and Distiller installed too.

Apr 3, 2012We're having problems opening X5 docuements that contain barcodes on them. When trying to edit the barcode it says "failure to launch server application" and if the barcode is rotated, its stretched to fit the area it was in but its back to the orginal unrotated position.

When I used LR2, I saved these files only if I choose to. I always convert my files to jpg after I'm done editing in PS and don't need these huge files hanging around.

Sep 23, 2012I have no previews for just PSD docs in the mac finder for a week or so now. I can see other types of doc previews. I run snow leopard on a mac book pro that is about 2 years old.
Oddly enough the trouble BEGan for me after running a normal maintenance script in ONYX (I clean the cache about once a week or so). Could be coincidence. I just installed the little "patch' from adobe but that does not work. I can see the previews in the com/4 view but in com/3, where I usually hang out, there is no preview and pressing the space bar for quick look is the same, with no preview.

There seems always to be an uncompressed compatibility image in 32-bit PSD and PSB, and in 32-bit layered TIFF. That's regardless of Maximum Compatibility being disabled when saving. If Maximum Compatibility is enabled, there correctly is an uncompressed composite in the file.Â

If Maximum Compatibility is disabled, there's an overhead equivalent to an uncompressed image with the document's size. I reckon the all-white compatibility image is uncompressed! If any image should be compressed, that surely is it. What a ridiculous waste of storage space. An unnecessary consumption of hundreds of MB per document in many cases.

This uncompressed compatibility image would explain why an embedded 32-bit PSB which stores the IBL of a 3D Layer consumes the enormous storage of a large uncompressed 32-bit image despite it being compressible to a few hundred KB.

Jan 10, 2012This just started happening after I downloaded DWG TruViewer. I am working on LT 2008 using Fusionware on a MacPro. I needed the viewer to convert newer drawings from an architect. Now, when I double click on a drawing in Explorer a separate AutoCad window opens for each drawing I need open. I prefer to just go up to Window>and click on the one I need at that time, especially if I have several to switch between because it is easier to see the file name I want.

Relaunched the program
I can't open files using File>Open because the program crashed each time and Autodesk is not issuing anymore fixes for 2008.  (Yes, we should upgrade but there is no money budgeted)
Right-click on any .dwg file and go to Properties>General>Change> and select the AutoCad LT launcher as the preferred program
Since I am in Window 7 instead of XP the File Types tab has been removed from Folder Options  so I can't fix it that way.
So, why did this change? FYI that stupid TruViewer made lots of unnecessay changes to my AutoCad and Explorer programs that I am still trying to sort out like changing the file icon and hiding the file extensions. Are they trying to make it hard to find files or what?
And next, how can I reset the default so that double clicking on a .dwg in Explorer opens in already open AutoCad window?

Sep 29, 2012CS6 keeps crashing without any previous warning on me-- and taking the whole computer with it-- whenever I've been working in CS6 for 20-25 minutes. By crashing, I mean that first CS6 freezes, then I get a completely blue screen. CS6 crashes whether I edit direcctly from it, or if I go into it from Lightroom (Version 4.1). When I reboot and eventually go back to CS6, my work from all but the last 10 minutes will have been saved.

I never had this problem-- with the same computer, pentab, OS, etc.-- with CS5. I did have this problem when I installed the trial version of CS6.Â

I have tried uninstalling every morsel of code related to my Wacom Bamboo tablet, and that didn't stop the crashes. I have uninstalled and re-installed CS6, and that didn't work. I have updated Windows and all CS6 applications, and still the crashes persist.  I even tried calling Adobe, but after four and a half hours on hold, I had to give up.Â

When I had my previous nVIDIA card, I had no problem. When I uninstall all drivers, again there is no problem with colours. But when I install the Catalyst software, I have problem.
