3ds Max :: Making Controller That Can Change Object From Green To Red
Aug 1, 2011
I want to make a controller that can change an object from green to red. So I wire the parameters from y position to the ambient colour.
I find to make the y_position into (y_position/100),(y_position/100),(y_position/100) but when I put this into the Parameter wiring dialogue I get a syntax error.
I try to wire the length parameter of a taper object to the local Y-Position values of another object. It works fine until I reload the file. I get an MAXScript Wire Controller Exception error:
--Runtime error: Illegal self-reference in controller script
...and the parameter-wire dialog opens. The desired functionality returns by clicking the Update Button and everything works fine again.
If I have an image that has plenty of a certain hex colour A in it, and I want to change all pixels of that colour to another hex colour B, how do I do that?
I want it to intelligently convert pixels of other colours, i.e. a colour that is half-grey half-A becomes half-grey half-B, a pixel that is transparentesque A becomes transparentesque B, and so on.
How do I do this on paint.net or possibly with any online tool available.
When opening the uv editor when I select the model polys, I have green lines running around the object. I'm guessing these are mapping seams automatically generated? but I'm not sure. I'm trying to add my own so rather than delete the green ones, I'd like to add to them.
How can I change the green color of the background in this image? Also, I would like to soften and spread out the edges a little more of the white light if possible.
I know it is quite easy to do in Photoshop, but I forgot how to do this. I want to replace green background in the top image to darker and lighter pink stripes to match the color of the website.
I've been going in the direction of:
1) Select color range (Pick green and just + the other shades of green to it) 2) Create Clipping mask from the Selection (I actually have all the green background on white and nothing else on the screen, but I am kind of stuck at this point)
How can I change with photoshop the color of below pencil from dark green to light green similar to the one in same photo? URL....Usually I use Tonality/saturation with good effect but with this special green I don't find a good solution.
I have a damask flourish design in JPEG format. I want to change the entire color of the design from green to pink. How can I do that? I have an older version of Photoshop Elements 6.0 on my Windows XP machine, but can upgrade to 11 on my Macbook Pro.
Today I downloaded a trial version of PSE. This means of course that I'm new to the game. I can follow a step-by-step guide though. Here's what I'd like to do: I've taken a dozen photos of an actor with a green screen as a background. Is there a way that I can chroma-key out the green and put in another color, like gray or perhaps a textured off-white?
I've attached a leaf image. We'd like to "Autumnize" the leaf even more and remove the green from the leaf. I've tried playing with the various options in the Color drop down (Color Balance, Hue Saturation, Colorize, Brightness-Contrast, Threshold, Levels, Curves), but I can't seem to do it.
I have images of two different canoes, one is grey, the other is orange. I would like to make the orange one the exactly the same colour as the grey one.
How do I do this? First I tried selecting the orange one, then filling it with the colour of the grey one (Edit > Fill >Mode=Colour) - but of course this retains the dark tone of the orange.
I have two "banners" created from a plane with a cloth modifier on each. One banner is in front of the other. I want the one in front to drop first. After it drops and is waving around a little...setting down...I want the second banner to drop. Because they are close to each other and both waving a bit, they will hit each other.
How can I have both set to be a cloth object and both set to be collision objects to the other? I thought it was one or the other. (In the cloth object properties)
its about making 3d object from transparent picture , is it possible, for example i want to make 3d obejct from this picture URL>... so it has depht (thicknes) and everythinh .i used to apply texture on plane and cut out edges of plane so they match the picture.
im making a cnc milling machine and need to make some things to make. This is a clamp between the magazine and the barrle of a shotgun and i made the drawing in 2d to start whit and then used the EXTRUDE to make it inn to 3d.
As you can see on the top of the object there is no surface and the same goes for the buttom. How can i make a surface?
Any way of converting a black object to a grey object? We have a product that is made of black plastic with metal surround and I desperately need an image of the same product with grey plastic, but keeping the detail and metal finish.
I have an object of given area and would like to make copies of the object at a different area. It is an irregular object so is not something readily calculated in Windows calculator, any macro that would do this in X5?
So I have a student who wants to put these lines in the object. Since it would be very difficult to make these lines enclosed and looking right is there anyway to put these lines in the object. I don't understand why Emboss works on letters but not lines. That is all letters are.
I'm using DPro7 and am having trouble making a bitmap copy of an object, with a 3 colour linear fill, each time I get a serious error message box.It works OK with a 2 colour fill,
I want to make a walkthrough of the building I have created, and I was going to have the camera walking down the hall, with the camera aimed to the side so that you can see into each room as you pass it.
However, the doors are in the way. Is there a way to make the doors invisble in the walkthrough (or open them or something) so that it just looks like an arch-way.
Recently, with the release of the next gen consoles, I decided as a challenge to myself to try to recreate the Xbox One controller in photoshop
Here is what i have done until now. Here is the exact image I am trying to recreate. URL...
Now the thing that I don't know how to do correctly are two things:The first being how to make the bumps around the two joysticks And second, the general lighting on the controller.
Also, ignore the 2 buttons in the middle and the gray part where the logo sits (not finished work)
I'm working on a controller for a face rig, but instead of using morphers I'm using different textures for the mouth depending on the action. I've set these up in nested mix maps (there are 8 different textures in all). For my test I'm using 4 and standard primitives to simplify things a bit.
I initially setup these controls in an attribute holder containing 3 sliders. The main one is a master switch slider. The other two act as the mix map sliders within the texture nest of mix maps. I'd like to create a single control for these though.
I can pseudocode this out pretty easily but applying it is a different story. What is the best course of action? I'm not very familiar with Maxscript although I am planning on looking into it.
Mleader arrow head didn't change size when change the scale on Object property?
The Arrow head size didn't change corresponding to the scale, i included the pic below, the top picture, the arrow head was set at .18" but was really small when i plot out, so i wanted to make it bigger, when i changed to .50" or .75" or even 1" the arrow head became even smaller than .18". Only when .18" than the arrow side is legible
I know how to use the transparency tool to make and object partially transparent but is there someway to make an entire object transparent so that what you put behind the object shows through? I am using the symbol of our logo and want to put pictures behind it so that they show though.
So let's say I want to use a picture of a coca-cola bottle from an image I found on the internet, or I take a pic of one... what is the best way to cut-it-out?
1) For instance, sometimes, the object is cut out of a white background and I want to use it on a black background... leaves a nasty outline :( - maybe its easier to take a pic of the object on a black background (which is what I usually do - but I don't feel like getting the camera out - besides, I then almost always need to touch up the photo)
and
2) how do I easily smooth the edges if a use the colour wand? before or after cutting out (Copy to clipboard)?
