Illustrator :: How To Unite Red And Green Parts Of Leaf Into One Solid Green Leaf
May 21, 2012
How to unite the red and green parts of the leaf into one solid green leaf? See attached “Leaf” file. (How do I attach the AI file?)
I tried the Pathfinder UNITE command and the Live Paint MERGE command.

I've attached a leaf image. We'd like to "Autumnize" the leaf even more and remove the green from the leaf. I've tried playing with the various options in the Color drop down (Color Balance, Hue Saturation, Colorize, Brightness-Contrast, Threshold, Levels, Curves), but I can't seem to do it.

I want to map a leaf image to a leaf mesh. The difficulty is that the image and the mesh are from different leaves, besides the mesh is 3D which means it is not planar, so how to ahieve that?
There are two files in the attachments, the first leaf's image, the second leaf's model image.

I've been working on making a picture for a podcast some guys and I are working on, and this is what I've got so far:
I don't like the way the leaf looks, all I did was dodge and burn a little. how I could get a good leaf texture? For something like this, I wouldn't think ultra-realistic would look right either, but something better than what I've done.

I have searched and found links to make text look like gold leaf but not how to take text that is already there and turn it into gold leaf. This is a diploma I scanned and the word RECOGNITION is in gold leaf on the original. I would like to replicate it as close as possible on a copy but am very limited on Photoshop knowledge. I can select it with the magic wand and then paint fill it another color but the gold color I have looks like plane light yellow when I print it not even close to actual gold.
I know there is way to do this but I am lost on what to do. I dont want to change anything else just the word Recognition to something that looks very close to actual gold leaf.

I have an image green leaf with a total white background. I use "add color to alpha".The image is great but slightly transparent because the white channel is missing.
How can I get the white back to the cutout leaf, so it has no transparency and is a nice crisp image?

I want to put a leaf on a trunk of a simple bamboo tree. The pivot is on the tip of the leaf plane, but the leaf gets inserted on the daimn middle of the thing.
I've attached a picture.
I did not look after an particle method because I like the scatter's feature of putting things only on the selected face.

I am designing a city with leaf-like layout. I've across a problem in the very beginning which is that i can't seem to understand the geometry involved in here. Let's i want to make a leaf shaped town such that it can have any desired area e.g. 800 acre with the same dimension like the leaf that added below. While experimenting with arc tool I've so far been able to do it but i would like to know the exact ways to do it.

I've just started learning AutoCAD and came across my first obstacle I don't know how to work around. Here's what I'm trying to do.
I draw two lines and two circles and then trim the excessive parts as in the picture (in general it can be an area composed of various types of lines, straight lines, arc, and likely with rounded corners).
Then extrude to the height 2. This makes 4 surfaces (green). Now I build a solid 'around' the surfaces. In this example I draw a rectangle and extrude to the height 1 (red). And my question is: how do I remove the part of the solid that's enclosed within the green surfaces? Subtraction doesn't work as I don't subtract solid. Slicing doesn't work either as it's more than one surfaces. For the same reason I can't turn it into a solid.

I would love to be able to produce gold leaf text on a brown leather background. I watched the Photoshop tutorial about it but the menus and results were too different to follow along. Are there any tutorials about doing this with Gimp 2.8.6?
I've seen some excellent tutorials about creating chrome text with effects but I can't find any for gold.

Is there a way to mix an off-white color to a green color? I'm not referring to adjusting the brightness and adding white, I'm referring to taking a green and adding some other custom off white color?

So how do you get the little green guide text bigger in illustrator? You know.. that little green "center" that appears when you mouse over the middle of the art board? If there isn't a way, I think I know why. It would have to be a conspiracy by Adobe to make everyone lose their eyesight so nobody can see well enough to design anymore, rendering the world without illustration. As a computer science major at a large university, I find it hard to believe that nobody can change the code to make this a user defined function in a menu. I miss my old desktop resolution.

Does the transformation box offer a good and bad choice?
The pic below shows the box with red and green sections. Is that just an odd thing or is that there for a reason?
Something like "if it's red you shouldn't move it and if it's green you can move it" kind of thing.

I get green shadows when i print my photos. The original photo looks fine on the screen,so i dont think there is a problem with the original, and the rest of the photo is fine, but the areas which should be light to dark brown are greeny-yellow.
I have an epson R1800 printer, and am using photoshop for colour management(printer colour management off). The clour profile is of the original photo(embedded)-sRGB,printer profile-SPR R1800 prmglssy.icc,rendering-perceptual.
I have cleaned the printheads,am using printrite ink.

There is a Green Bar with 97% with a grey Cancel beside it that does nothing in the left hand corner of the toolbar continually visible when a project is open. When the project is closed this does not completely clear from the toolbar.
What is this? Why is it there? What does it mean? Why is it not 100%?

In CS3 I am having trouble getting my prints to match the image on my MacBookPro Monitor.
AT first the prints were coming out to green, so I calibrated my disply/monitor on my MacBook Pro. It seem to make a slight improvement and I used the Apple calibrating profile. Tricky to use.
I made some prints with my Epson 3800 Printer using PS to manage the printing. Still to green. Then I went over the color settings in my Preferances and followed the guide lines i read in my CS3 for Dummies book. I made some prints which came out 2-3 stops darker, but no green. So then I tried making the prints through the Epson profiles and not photoshop and they came out lighter but way to green.
The printer settngs in Photoshop are: Photoshop manages color; Adobe RGB printer profile, perceptual rendering intent, black point compensation on, color management set to off.
I'm using North American Prepress 2 color setting. I did not have this problem in the past, but I also did not know how often one shold czalibrate their monitor. Should I try reinstalling Photoshop or do I need to download any update drivers or profiles?

why is Photoshop displaying green as blue? In the picker, it's clearly showing green. But when I create a shape, it's a light blue. When I open other images, I get a similar color distortion.

I have a new customer who sent me a few hundred images which one of his employees shot against a green background. It would be easy enough to remove the background, but the green is reflecting on lighter colored products (Like a gray sweatshirt) and some of the pictures are of transparent items, (like a clear, plastic cup, or a product in a clear, plastic bag).
He claims that Photoshop (Which he admitedly knows nothing about) has a "Chroma Green Remover" - You just wave your magic wand and the green disappears. He also claims that he used to send his images "overseas" to have this done and they came back in a matter of an hour or two.
I have been using Photoshop since version 3.5 and have never heard of such a technique (Using CS3 now). Is there a way to do this, or should I have him re-shoot the pics?

I recently purchased Pro x6. While I love the new features, something has been happening today that is frustrating. I captured some video from my Canon HG10 and placed it on the timeline. When I try to play it in the editor, a green screen appears over the video. I can hear the audio but cannot see it.

I noticed that you can click on the top of the time line to put green triangles at various places at the top of the story board. I am not sure what they are for other than to mark a place on the timeline. I also noticed that when I burned the video to disk, there was a skip or brief pause at the exact location where the green marker was located. So I have two questions:
1 Was the "skip" at the marker purely coincidental or was it caused by the marker and
2 What are the markers for?
