3ds Max :: Vertex Colors And Texture Not Showing?
Jun 27, 2011With Nitrous enabled i am not able to both see the vertex color and the texture, applied to an object, at the same time.
It works as expected in the DirectX mode.

What i would like to do is add a background texture to an image that already has color without the texture pictures color taking over, how can this be done?
I am using an apply texture plugin, but once again it applies the texture and the color of the picture , all i want is the texture.
I am trying to add a fabric texture to some colors but dont want the texture to adjust the color.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created a 8-bit .bmp file which shows 257 (=2^8+1) colors in Windows Picture Viewer. The image shows a black frame with 256 different red colors inside. You may load it with Paint.Net and count the colors. ;-)

I'm having problems with PS showing red and purple as blue. The RAW's are oversaturated with blue and nothing I do can reverse the colours. Both camera, PS and monitor is set to aRGB and the RAW files is showed correctly in the Windows folder. both the highlight and shadow warning are turned off!
View 1 Replies View Relatedusing illustrator cc, on a series of illustrations, i am placing an ai file with my color pallette into all of my files (if i update the pallate, all files will have the corrected version). when i place the pallette file, the cmyk values are slightly off. all files are cmyk. seems like a bug, reminds me of placing illustrator into photoshop, and colors values would be ever so slightly off.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI edited my CR2 pictures in Lightroom. After converting to any format the colors were colder than in original image. I opened it in Photoshop, Irfanview and Firefox. In Lightroom the image looked same as original. Both Lightroom and Photoshop are using ProPhoto RGB. I tried converting to different color spaces with no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor my 3D scene, I have to use a texture file on the floor. If I use the only file, than it looks really boring and below par. What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?

Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
I guess a spider web where the spider was on crack would be something I'm looking for. Similar to the following image:

I recently installed CS5 on my laptop after first removing it from my previous machine.All licences were validated so no problems there.Now when using paint bucket in Photoshop, the colors that I select in the color picker are not the colors that result when I use the paint bucket.
If I create a new black canvas then the colors selected in color picker work with paint bucket.But if I attempt to recolor the background in an existing image that I import into Photoshop, I get the mismatch with colors when I use paint bucket. My method for selecting colors is the same in each case, I select 'set foreground color' and set the color using html values entry at the bottom of the panel.
CDX5: Whatever color I select for fill or outline is now set as the default color for fills and outlines without expressly setting it as such. Until now when I left or right click a color with nothing selected it allowed me to set it as a default fill or outline color for graphics, artistic text, or paragraph text. It does not do that now.
Is this a "feature" that's been added that I somehow enabled? In any event, how do I turn it off?
Just wanted to print a new photo and realized that the colors in print preview do not match the colors in soft proofing. In both cases I selected the same icc profile and rendering method. The print colors matched the colors in print preview. I never had a problem so far. All new prints will be checked with soft proofing and adjusted when necessary. I never paid attention to the color rendition in print preview and all prints perfectly matched the colors from the soft proofing. I was surprised when my print came out of the printer and the colors weren't matching the soft proofing colors, but that of the print preview.
I don't understand why Photoshop renders the colors differently in the first place. See attached screenshot for the difference in the blue/cyan colors. I don't care if the print view colors will match the print, but I do care when soft proofing is not working.
We are working with a company that will be sending us DWG files. They do not use the same layer colors as us and I am trying to find a lisp that would allow me to set up a table with the layer names and the color I want them to be so that I can quickly change all the layers to our companys color standards.
Example:
Layer 1 = Color 1
Layer 2 = Color 15
Layer 3 = Color 10
Etc.
I don't know a lot about lisp but I figure if I could find a lisp that did this I could plug in my layer/color assignments and it would work.
Using CS6 on a MacBookPro Is there a way to find the closest matching Pantone spot colors to the cmyk colors I've created in Illustrator? I know it's easy in Photoshop using the color picker, but there must be a way to do this in Illustrator.

I have checked and their is only 1 vertex at each of the points that are sprouting like 3 normal lines per vertex now.Unify normals removed them but still wondering.

This is only occuring in one specific drawing. Is there a preference that I switched somewhere that would make this happen? I have double checked that everything is ByLayer or ByColor that I can think of. If I insert this color chart into other drawings it looks fine. using C3D 2012.
I would just restart my drawing, however it is the new company template file that I have invested many hours into and would really like to be able to keep working with it and not start over. Or is there a good way to import and overwrite all the Prospector settings into a blank drawing?

Is it possible to link locators to vertex on a spline to be able to control certain vertex points?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got an animated model in 3Ds MAX which is done by applying Taper modifier. I'm trying to export this to FBX format including animation and then import it to another application called fragMOTION which only supports Skeleton animation and Vertex animation.
But the problem is fragMOTION does not show any animation frames while if I turn off the modifier and do a simple translation or rotation animation it is imported as it's supposed to be.
I also tried to Bake animation or Point Cache but no success. I can bake the animation into keyframes by using Cloth modifier so the result would be an animated Editable Mesh (keyframes) without any modifier in stack.
Should I take any additional step to convert the animation into Skeleton or Vertex animation?

3ds max 2012. I know most of the base of the software.But I never understood the technique of adding Polignim, vertexs and lines to the object to make it more realistic

The problem is that the vertex is not part of the line.You can see it because I moved the vetex. Some of the line was supposed to move with the vertex. This means that vetex is not part of anything. How to create vertex on the line.
problem I am encountering with adding vertices to the ends of polylines in AutoCAD LT 2012:
I typically use the drop down menu that shows up when hovering over the end (or mid) point of a polyline to choose "Add Vertex" to a polyline. If I do this to one end-grip of the polyline, it will add it onto the end of the polyline as an extension (desired and intended effect). If I do it to the other end-grip, it will add the vertex behind the end of the polyline as if I had used the mid-grip to do it (not the desired effect). If I wanted a vertex in the middle of two end points, I would do this procedure using the mid-grip, not the end-grip. One would think that by using an end-grip, it would come off the end, not go into the middle....one would think.
The Question: Is there a short key or quick command to use to guarantee the added vertex will extend from the end of the polyline rather than add one in the middle of the polyline, no matter which end I am trying to extend?
I have imported a dwg witch was created by Revit. The problem is that it creates polyline vertex for curves. But i want a arc, or at least not so many segments.
on the image; on the left is what i got, on the right is what i want.
Delete some vertex in this polyline.
