Is there a known problem with color in Elements 10?I have a gif that when opened in paint shows the light blue color correctly but in PSE10 shows as a buff color.Red, yellow and blue seem about right.It doesn't matter if it is the gif or the psd file the color showns the same in PSE10.
View 1 RepliesWith .psd files I can right-click -> Open With -> Choose Program and see a list of programs that I can set as the default for opening this type of file. The list includes PE4, PE7 and PE10. With .jpeg files it only shows PE4 and PE7, and with .png files it only shows PE4. If I browse to the program I want (say the PE10 editor .exe file) and select it with double-click or 'open', the choice is ignored and PE4 remains selected in the Choose Program window.
Obviously, all 3 versions can read and write all 3 types of file - so what's happening here? I'm guessing this is a Windows issue, but I thought I'd ask in case there's a setting in PE that's stopping them from being visible.
Old computer was XP with PE10 installed. Moving to new Win7 computer, so did catalog backup of PE10 onto a network drive. On new computer, have serveral Drives: C, E, G (XP drive from old computer for moving stuff over to new system). Installed PE11 on new computer to drive E. Then opened PE11 and did a catalog restore from the network drive. Set restore location to Drive E. Restore said successful, conversion worked OK. Organizer in PE11 shows the pictures and references drive G (my old XP drive that is in my new system). How do I get PE11 to change path to Drive E catalog??

I'm having problems with PS showing red and purple as blue. The RAW's are oversaturated with blue and nothing I do can reverse the colours. Both camera, PS and monitor is set to aRGB and the RAW files is showed correctly in the Windows folder. both the highlight and shadow warning are turned off!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI created a 8-bit .bmp file which shows 257 (=2^8+1) colors in Windows Picture Viewer. The image shows a black frame with 256 different red colors inside. You may load it with Paint.Net and count the colors. ;-)

With Nitrous enabled i am not able to both see the vertex color and the texture, applied to an object, at the same time.
It works as expected in the DirectX mode.
using illustrator cc, on a series of illustrations, i am placing an ai file with my color pallette into all of my files (if i update the pallate, all files will have the corrected version). when i place the pallette file, the cmyk values are slightly off. all files are cmyk. seems like a bug, reminds me of placing illustrator into photoshop, and colors values would be ever so slightly off.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI edited my CR2 pictures in Lightroom. After converting to any format the colors were colder than in original image. I opened it in Photoshop, Irfanview and Firefox. In Lightroom the image looked same as original. Both Lightroom and Photoshop are using ProPhoto RGB. I tried converting to different color spaces with no luck.

When syncing my iPad, photoshop does not appear in the drop down menu in the photos section, only iPhoto or the option to select a folder appears.
I have re-installed iTunes but to no avail.
Other posts with similar issues suggest that iTunes 11 solves the problem but I have the latest version.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAbout3 weeks ago I installed Photoshop 11 on my MacBook Air and everything seemed to be going OK ... I imported old Photoshop Elements 3 files and organized them into albums.
Recently most of the thumbnails are showing a question mark (?) in the corner and I'm getting messages about missing files and trying to re-connect missing files.
I am startiang from scrach since I only was able to transfer photos to a new hard drive. I installed elements 11 and connected with the photos on my hard drive. I have set up various albums and have placed photos in the album they belong. Now I was familar with earlier photoshop and by "tagging" the photo to a particular album. Then I could go to show untagged items to slowly organize the thousands of photos i have. But the same photos are still showing up in the media display. So what am I doing wrong. Is tagging something different from the earlier versions where you could drag an album label to the photo and then see it listed. The photos are showing up in the album but I see no tags.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've upgraded from PSE 6 to PSE 11. My people tags have carried over, but are not showing properly in the "People" view.
All my people tags are still present on the pictures and I can search using them by selecting "Advanced Search" in the media view. However, when I go to the People view, the only stacks I see are ones I have created in PSE 11 that were not tagged in my previous version. The names of all my previously tagged people only show when I click to view "Groups". Clicking on the name in "Groups" simply leads to the message "No people exist in this group" - even though the tag clearly shows on the images in the Media view.
Is there any way to convert the people listed as groups back to people tags that will be recognised by PSE? Even when I run the facial recognition software and tag people here, they still do not show up in the People view if they were previously tagged in PSE 6.
I just purchased a new monitor, and when I opened up elements 12 it asked me if i wanted to correct my colour profile. I said yes, and now all whites on that monitor are displayed as a sepia like yellow colour. When I move photoshop to my other monitor, the image displays fine. Its not an issue with the monitor, as b&w images in other applications display well.

I have a problem with the colors when I print some JPG pictures with this printer only when I use the PC (W7 64 bits with PhotoShop V10). For example, a picture with blue/purple at the screens prints like brown. I precise that printed with the XP PC, all the time, the colors are true (blue/purple). The 3 toner cartridges are new. Before I bought PSE 10, I had the same problem with PSE 1.0 on the PC (W7). I tried many printing settings on the PSE (W7) without success. The color pictures seems OK at the 2 screens.
I have an image that I would like to convert from RGB colors to CYMK. Can you provide me the steps to do so?
